A/N this is kind of a Emma/Henry/Cora/Henry Sr bonding chapter and I kind of want Cora to be nicer in this story, as alot have her being mean but I also want her to still have abit of a hard side to her personality. Regina is going to be in for a surprise, when she wakes up, thats for sure lol.

In the Hospital canteen, Emma sat quietly, as she watched her son telling Henry Sr about a school project but her mind wondered off, to a certain brunnette who was currently unconcious.

She wished desperatly, that she had said more than "Oh" to her before the crash.

"Are you okay Emma?" Henry Sr suddenly asked, seeing that Emma was staring off past them.

"Huh?"

'Are you okay mom?' Henry then said.

'Yeah' she replied casually which made her son nod but Henry Sr could see something was bothering her, but thought it wasn't the time to push it.

It wasn't until twenty minutes later, that the three of them headed back to Regina's room, to find a nurse and cora by Regina's side.

"How was breakfast?" Cora asked, whilst staring at Emma, trying to figure her out.

"I had Bacon" Henry interupted and Cora glanced to him and said "Wonderful" before looking back to Regina.

There was then a moment of silence, before Henry Sr asked "So Emma, how did you met Regina?"

"Oh, well…" she rubbed her arm and looked at Regina "We met the day she moved in actually, it's a funny story really" she smirked remembering rescuing Regina from killian.

"Please tell" Henry St asked.

"Oh, urm, i kind of rescued her from this guy, who is the local womanizer" she chuckled nervously and saw Cora glare at her.

"I do not know why, she hasnt moved to a different appartment" she said with a shake of her head.

"Cos she likes us" Henry blurted and Emma could'nt believe what he just said, but hoped he was right.

The room then fell silent again and Cora then asked "Do you have a job dear?"

Emma crossed her arms.

"Yeah, I work at a bar a few nights a week" she answered, not wanting to tell them it was a cyote bar.

"And you earn enough from that to support you and Henry?" Cora pushed, with a curious expression.

"Yeah, It pays well" she answered and kept her gaze on Regina. "Actually, I better call let them know I won't be in tonight" she fished her phone out and then left the room to call her work and unknown to her, Cora had followed her out.

"Oh hey, it's Emma, I can't come in tonight an emergency has come up" a moment later "Yeah, well I'm at the hospital..there was an accident and my…my" do I say it, she thought and then quickly said "my girlfriend is seriously injured"

Cora's eyes widened in surprise, from behind the blonde.

"Well Fire me if you want, I don't care, as Regina is more important than any job"

Cora smiled at that, even though she didn't want too and she turned to go back into the room, having heard enough.

Meanwhile, Emma was frustrated and annoyed "Fine yeah whatever" she then said and hanged up and went back into the room with a frown.

"Is everything okay?" Henry St asked.

"yeah, all sorted" she replied and looked to her son "urm, I think I'm gonna take Henry home for a while. I will be back later if that's okay" she looked between Cora and Henry Sr.

"You do not have to ask our permission Emma, your welcome here" Henry told her.

"Great" she smiled then henry waved goodbye and they left.

"Mom, why we leaving so quick?" He asked

"well, it's not fair on you to be stuck in an hospital all day and we're see if Tinkerbell can still look after you later"

"but I wanna be there when Regina wakes"

Emma smiled "you really do like her?"

"Duh mom we both do but I think you Like her like her" he smirked and Emma just gave a small smile as her answer.

Meanwhile in the hospita,l Cora had told Henry of what she had heard and he was grinning.

"At least the girl doesn't put work before our daughter" cora said, as she pulled invisible fluff off her trousers.

"Are you referring to Robin honey?"

"Yes, his prioity was always his job as you know"

"Yeah, but I think we knew Regina didn't love him either"

Cora pondered for a moment "Do you think she loves this Emma?"

"I don't know, but I can't think of another reason why she would stay in an apartment she didn't like, if she wasn't fond of her and her son"

"I agree" they then fell silent for a moment and then decided one of them should go to the apartment and get Regina a new set of clothes for when she wakes up.

Two hours later, Cora arrived at her daughters apartment with a frown upon her face and once she walked inside and saw the mold she shook her head.

"What kind of place is this" she said out loud and then started to have a nose around.

At least she keeps it clean and tidy she thought and then went into the bedroom and into the wardrobe. Pulling out a blouse and trousers.

However as she left, Henry appeared on the stairs.

"Hey, what you doing here? is Regina okay?" He asked worridly.

Cora smirked but then noticed the boys concerned look "I am here to get Regina a chance of clothes for when she wakes up"

"Oh" he stood awkwardly for a moment.

"Shouldn't you be at home?" she then asked.

"It's just up there" he pointed upwards then added "I get bored sometimes indoors, but since Regina moved in I would bump into her out here and we would talk and she would invite me in" he smiled and Cora tilted her head curciously, as she didn't know her daughter would be take such a shine to a kid. Since she never mentioned children, or having them to her.

"She must like you a great deal"

He looked down bashfully "I hope so, I mean I think so, she said we're friends and I don't have many of those" he frowned.

"Well if she said tha,t then it is certainly true, as my daughter wouldn't lie about that"

He then smiled at her and she cleared her throat "I must go back to the hospital now, but I am sure I will see you again soon"

"Yeah probably tomorrow, as Tinkerbell is looking after me tonight"

Cora raised an eyebrow "Doesn't a Tinkerbell work for Regina?" She said out loud.

"Yeah, it's her, my mom knew her before she worked for Regina"

"Small world" Cora then said and motioned to leave.

"Bye Ms Mills" Henry then said and Cora thought charming boy, before saying "goodbye Henry" she smiled slightly, then walked away. Leaving Henry hurrying up the stairs, to tell his mom of what just happened.

It was 7.09pm when Emma walked into Regina's room at the hospital and saw Cora sitting next to her, whilst looking through a portfolio.

She took a deep breath.

"Hi" she said a little highly and went to sit in the chair on the opposite side of bed.

Cora looked up and raised an eyebrow at the blonde and she then raked her eyes over the womans attire of red jacket, grey t shirt and skinny jeans.

She sighed and then said "Good evening dear"

"Has there been any news?" Emma asked, whilst biting her lip.

"No, the nurses have been in and out most of the day"

"I don't understand why she hasn't woke up yet" Emma then said and frowned.

"Nor do I dear, but I know she will soon"

Emma then smiled and thought she would try and get to know Cora a little better, after all this was Regina's mother.

"Regina told me you run a number of cafes in New York"

Cora stared at her briefly, as if surprised Regina had mentioned her.

"Yes that's right"

"She was so excited and anxiious when opening the one here"

Cora smirked.

"Well she always wanted to run one by herself and when this opportunity came up I thought it would make her happy"

"It does. I think she wasn't to happy with her life with Robin" she frowned but Cora was suddenly intriqued.

"You know about Robin?"

"Oh yeah" she rrolled her eyes "I met him too and I can honestly say I didn't like him that much"

Cora laughed.

"Nor I dear"

"Really?" she tilted her head at Cora.

"Yes, his job came first and I don't believe he made her truly happy. Maybe that's another reason why I sent her away for this job"

Emma's eyes widdened.

"You knew it would break them up?" she asked in surprise.

Cora smirked and pulled out a piece of paper from the portfolio.

"Yes, he was never going to move here and I hoped Regina would see that the relationship wasn't right for her"

"Wow" Emma replied and leaned back in the chair, smiling and it wasn't until a long moment later, that Emma said "Is Henry not here?"

Cora looked to her.

"No, he didn't feel to well and was very tired, so his back at the hotel"

"Oh" she frowned.

"I will be heading back there soon, after I have finished going through this" she gestured to the portolio.

"It is important?" Emma asked.

"Not particularly. It is to do with the Cafe. Katheryn gave it to me earlier"

"Oh, she came by?"

"Yes. I asked her to bring it to me"

"She seems nice"

"Yes, she is and her and Regina seem to get on well, which is a bonus"

"It is"

There was another long silence, before Cora pulled a piece of paper closer to her face to inspect.

This is not to do with the Cafe, she thought. It's an invoice for..."OH" she said out loud and Emma brought her gaze away from Regina and looked to her.

"Is something wrong?" she asked.

"No, nothing is wrong, it is justthat this is an invoice for three tickets"

"Tickets?" Emma muttered confused.

"Yes, Two adults and one child to a musical, although I'd say it's more of a childs musical"

Emma swallowed thickly and her heart began to beat faster.

"When was it for?" she asked shakily.

"Next month apparantly"

"Oh" she bit her lip and looked back to Regina's face. She wanted to kiss her.

"It seems I may of ruined a surprise" Cora then said, as she looked conflicted.

"You think it was for me and Henry?" Emma asked.

"Of course, who else would it be for? does she have other friends with a child?" She asked sarcastically.

"Urm, not as far as I know"

Cora shook her head and put the invoice back in the portfolio.

"Anyway, I think I shall head back to the hotel" she began to stand up.

"Okay" Emma replied lowly and she watched the elder woman, pick up her belongings.

"I shall see you tomorrow then?" Cora asked, as she was about to leave.

"Yeah"

"Okay, well...good night dear" she said softly and looked to Regina before walking to the door.

"Night Ms Mills" Emma replied and watched her walk out the door and away from the room. It was then once Ms Mills was gone that Emma took Regina hand that rest upon the white sheets.

"Oh how I have missed this" she muttered, as she squeezed her hand and then brought it up and kissed it.

"I know its been what? two days! but I miss you" she then muttered "I miss talking to you and stuff" she added then said "Henry misses you too and what's this! about tickets to a musical? I don't think I have ever been to one, although they might not be for us three. I mean you could know another adult with a kid that you haven't mentioned, but I think you would of mentioned it" she frowned.

"I like to think we could tell each other anything. However, I couldn't tell you anything more than Oh, after what you said before the crash...I wish I had said more than that...I guess I was speechless at the time" she looked to the door and saw a nurse go by then looked back to Regina. "I should of told you that things would be okay and that I felt the same, that I want to be your girlfriend" she smiled at the thought of being Regina's girlfriend.

"I will tell you" she then said and leaned up to kiss Regina on the cheek.
