Hello again! And sorry for taking too long, I had been overall busy and school does not help. But finally chapter 13! Katniss POV this time

Chapter 13

I woke up in the cabin the Capitol had assigned me, I did not know why was I still here, or what the where going to do with me. As I took a shower I got perturbed by something unusual, usually this part of the building was quiet, but this time, it was the opposite.

I heard voices coming from the corridor, it was mostly men. I wanted to ignore it, but I couldn´t, I stepped out of the shower, got some clean clothes and decided to figure out what was going on. A childish fight I thought, sometimes the most professional elite of all Panem can be as dumb as a 5 year old boy who won´t share his toys.

I ignored most of it, until I heard something that caught my attention. I heard someone screaming, "Let me see her one last time, please!" I stood up, and walked closer to my cabin´s door so I could hear better. Then I heard my name being shouted several times before I recognized his voice, it was Peeta.

I ran towards the door and pulled the knob, it was locked, and after all I was a prisoner. I got really anxious, I felt adrenaline running through my veins, or maybe it was just strength, anyways I grabbed a wooden chair from my room and threw it to the door, it opened after a few tries, I stepped out and saw about 15 people around a blonde boy struggling to make his way to me.

I pushed, pulled, and hit many people before I made my way to Peeta, when he saw me everything was perfect for just a moment. He looked worried, "K-Katniss, I need to go, I am working here now" he said, I was speechless, why would he do something like that? "I did it to save your life, you´ll have your memory back" he answered. I did not want him to risk his life just for me, many tears fell down on my cheeks; I could not find words to tell him how I was feeling.

We just started at each other for a minute, then somebody pushed him away from me, he just waved goodbye, I felt heartbroken as I saw him leave that corridor and my life forever…

Then somebody pulled me back to my room, at the entrance of my room I caught a glimpse at his face, it was Gale. I tried to fight back, I thought he was up to no good, I tried to shout, but he just covered my mouth with his hand, when we were inside he finally let me go, "Shh, Katniss I´m trying to help you" he whispered. I gave him an angry look, "Listen, the only reason Peeta was recruited was to kill him, if he was killed you´ve got nothing left, so that forced you to work here" I looked terrified "W-What? But what about my memories?" I said. "They will give them to you in some hours, just to make you remember all the good times you had with Peeta" I took a deep breath; everything was just too hard to swallow. "What can we do?" I said

"They will inject you with 3 substances, first the preparing substance for the solution the capitol created, then the sedative, and finally the solution, you will only receive the first one, I will replace the sedative with vitamins, you´ll just simulate to be asleep, after that one is over the second one will make you cough, they will think you are drowning, they will leave the room, you escape and go to the hospital´s airport, where I´ll be waiting for you"

I analyzed everything and tried to trust him, we shook hands and as expected somebody came for me and guided me to the hospital room, I took a deep breath and waited to be guided to a room. I found myself trying to stay calm and ignore the fact that if the plan went wrong Peeta was going to die.
