Enter to the ring of famous fighters in the NMO Arena. It was an entertaining place where the audience can watch the fierce and strongest combatants battle one another in the wrestling ring for some intense action. The TV reporters were ready to interview with the most famous fighter in the history. The name was Jasper. He has a short, stylish orange hair, green eyes, and fair skin. He wore an orange open shirt beneath his black vest that shows his muscular chest, black pants with two studded belts, and orange shoes. On his arms were a pair of dark orange gauntlets that covered half of his lower arm. He was signing autographs for his adoring fans crowding around him.

"The hero that did the impossible: the man that defeated a rare soldier when he railed a nation at war." The TV announcer reported. "There was a time when everyone could say, 'I know Jasper'. During the Grand War, the people of the Canopy Kingdom were gripped with a terrible fear of the race of violent warriors known as the Hōseki." The television screen showed a picture of Jasper and a muscular woman fighting in a ring. She has short light pink curly hair, blue eyes, and fair skin with a muscular frame. She wore a dark pink and blue sleeveless leotard with dark pink ruffles around the collar, long dark pink fingerless gloves, and tall dark pink lace-up boots with blue stockings. In her hands was a giant dark pink flail with a long blue whip-like strand. "He defeated the brutal Hōseki warrior Agate in no-holds-barred exhibition match as the nation watched." The television screen then showed a picture of a male Hōseki warrior confronting Jasper in burning anger. He has dark purple hair, crimson eyes, and fair skin with sharp, pointed teeth. He wore a bright purple gi with the sleeves ripped off. "Seeing his love defeated, Agate's lover Iolite was consumed by rage and lashed out, but our hero didn't flinch as the warrior went down in defeat. That day, Jasper became a legend. It wasn't long before Solar Punisher was punching wild!" The television screen then showed a picture of Jasper crossing his arms over his chest in a silent manner. "Jasper, the all-out rushdown of a nation-a silent Adamantium remembered for his 'Solarpack' of fans. But when the war ended, the noble spirit that fueled that drive for Jasper began to vanish." The television screen finally showed a picture of Jasper showing his gauntlets in front of a female pop idol, who was holding a her pet robotic dog in her lap on a seat with a smile. "After he left the ring, he was took his part as the Sun Samurai on the popular show Dionysus Puma. Jasper disappeared from the public eye. Where is that famous fighter now?"

Meanwhile, Jasper watched the news on TV as he sat on his yoga mat. He was wearing an orange karate pants with black sides and orange sparring gloves.

"I still got the punch. I can't take a long year vacation." Jasper said to himself. He let out a deep sigh as he got up from the mat and stood to the glass case of Agate's flail. "But those were good days."

Suddenly, the TV showed the breaking news report about the Skullgirl sightings that has caught Jasper's attention.

"We interrupt Canopy Kingdom Celebrity Crash-Out for a breaking report!" The TV announcer reported. "The Skullgirl has reappeared! Sightings have been confirmed in downtown New Meridian and Maplecrest!"

Out of nowhere, Jasper was unexpectedly attacked by Agate's flail as it was swinging itself to smash him hard to the floor.

"What the...?!" Jasper gasped.

As Jasper was struggling to walk around on his two feet, he observed inside the hallowed building that serves as a place for the good citizens of Canopy Kingdom to worship The Trinity. He quickly opened the doors and was slightly amazed by the place resembling a traditional Catholic church with white marble walls, large stained glass windows, ornate frescoes, and a large imposingly statue. He slowly approached himself to the nun, not unaware that she isn't an ordinary nun in her eyes.

"Sister Agatha, this weapon is possessed! You have to help me!" Jasper said, trying to break free from the giant flail on him.

"Is that weapon of an Hōseki?" Sister Agatha asked with her eyes closed.

"What do you think? Do something!" Jasper snapped.

"You should rid yourself of it, child. The dead are under the Skullgirl's control now." Sister Agatha informed as her hands closed together in a prayer state.

"Well, that's not gonna happen! She'll never have it!" Jasper said firmly.

Double prayed on the possessed weapon and released its possession out of it, setting Jasper free.

"Finally. It calmed down." Jasper said.

"You have been given a second chance." Sister Agatha said. "Renounce it. Be not prideful."

"Thanks, but now I got million ways to beat the Skullgirl." Jasper nodded.

Jasper walked out of the Grand Cathedral as he has his plans to defeat the Skullgirl and reclaim his title in the ring. As he left, Sister Agatha lowered her hands and opened her frighteningly red eyes in silence.

Arriving in the wrestling ring when it comes to fighting the best of the best, Jasper felt the passionate scene of competitiveness and excitement. The lights from above shone for the audience to see the intense action and six draped banners exhibiting the action shot artwork of the characters currently in the ring. Jasper heard the audience clapping and shouting for his returning appearance on the center of the ring.

"My dear fans, the Solar Champion is back in the ring!" Jasper announced.

The crowd cheered excitedly at their famous fighter's confidence.

"The Skullgirl's gonna regret threatening on my turf!" Jasper continued.

The crowd applauded as they are eager for Jasper to prove himself for them.

Suddenly, Jasper spotted someone entering the ring towards him. She has orange bob-cut hair, blue eyes, and peach skin. She wore a long-sleeved orange crop top, bulky dark orange gloves, orange short-shorts, and dark orange boots. On her head was a brown goggle with orange lenses and long flat arms coming out from the sides with fingers that looked like five wrenches. That is actually her living weapon named Wolver.

"Hey, champ! You're ready for this?" Topaz challenged. "It's been ages since you returned from the ring. I've bet I'll be too much for you to handle!"

"Looks like we both got something to prove!" Jasper grinned. "I hope you're ready, girlie. Because I sure am!"

"I'll do my best!" Topaz said.

"Let's see what you're capable of!" Jasper smiled.

Jasper charged forward to attack first, but Topaz threw a batch of explosive energy orange discs at the solar fighter to inflict damage while Wolver used his arms as propellers to fly in the air. Jasper jumped back onto his feet and dashed forward with his fists together to deliver five savage solar-powered punches at the intellect. Then, Topaz gets launched high into the air by Wolver and performed a strong tornado into the air while lashing out multiple powerful kicks to damage Jasper. Jasper swiftly stretched out the giant flail to grab Topaz and slammed her around several times before delivering a final slam to the ground. Topaz commanded Wolver to summon a buzz-saw attack with a downward drill move that hit the famous solar fighter from afar. As Jasper got up, he leaped up high in the air to flip himself upside-down and dove his solar-powered fist-first straight down to Topaz in her defeat.

"Such a great honor..." Topaz said, falling down on the ground in defeat.

"You need to work on your strategies with your goggle if you wanna beat the pros." Jasper grinned while crossing his arms over his chest.

After defeating the intellect fighter in the ring, Jasper walked forward and reached out a hand to help Topaz up.

"Are you okay?" Jasper asked kindly.

"Don't worry about me, Jasper. It's usually worse than this." Topaz smiled, taking her favorite fighter's hand.

In the office, Jasper walked inside to consult the advice of his old partner named Zara Mystery. Zara has long straighten brown hair that reaches to her shoulders, blue eyes, and wore a maroon midriff exposed blazer with high shoulder pads with a matching mini skirt, lavender silk gloves, and black leather heeled boots.

"How'd you like your first headliner?" Zara asked casually. "You taste power out there, babe? You smell the crowd?" Her smile grew on her face. "They're hungry for more! They're dying for the Solar Champion! You're back!"

"I'm just glad we're back in business together." Jasper said with a grin.

"Good." Zara said, crafting a brilliant plan to get Jasper's popularity back on the radar. "But this is just the beginning. I'm gonna take you all the way this time. I promise. You'll even taking on the Skullgirl in front of the cameras."

"Where can I start?" Jasper asked.

"Because of the Skullgirl, the town has gone crazy." Zara explained as she's feeling very discerned about the populace in a state of terror because of the Skullgirl. "The populace is in a panic. You can even hear them crying in fear."

"Why?" Jasper inquired.

"Because there are so many freaks on the streets when the Skullgirl show up." Zara continued. "Do you think you can take them on, Jasper?"

"Don't you worry, Zara. I'll take care of them with my burning wrath!" Jasper nodded.

Arriving in a nighttime seaside Dagonian-populated section of New Meridian, Jasper was observing around the town of Little Innsmouth. He could see the flood, rendering it inaccessible. The district sparkles with light from the buildings, lanterns and many neon signs that reflected in the water. Many restaurants stayed open until late at night, enticing people out for good food and a relaxing evening walking along the brightly lit walkways. But he spotted a mysterious feminine figure in her way. She has short black hair, tan skin, and red eyes while wearing a black bodysuit with a red stripe down the front and silver cuffs at the head, leg and arm holes with matching boots and black gloves. She also has a pair of small golden segmented rings on her wrists and a black metallic mask on her face.

"I don't know who you are nor do I care, but you can't stop me." Garnet said silently.

"I'm here to put an end to your freak of destruction." Jasper said firmly.

"You think you can make a fool out of me? GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!" Garnet roared.

"Feel my wrath." Garnet hissed.

"It's time to see your ultimate power!" Jasper snarled.

Jasper dashed forward while unleashing a series of rapid solar-powered punches to Garnet. As Garnet got up, she fired a flaming beam of reddish-black energy from her palms to attack the famous solar fighter. Jasper performed a series of extremely fast solar-powered uppercuts that threw the Lab 0's creation up into the air. But Garnet unleashed a flurry of low and high reddish-black energy kicks and knocked Jasper up into the air with one powerful energy kick. As Jasper got back on his feet, he charged forward at full speed with his solar-powered fist and barraged Garnet with multiple hits. Garnet quickly delivered a flurry of powerful reddish-black energy punches and kicks to damage Jasper. As the two fighters continue to battle faster and faster, Garnet was growing tired every second. Jasper then defeated Garnet by stretching the giant flail to grab the Lab 0's creation and slammed her around several times before delivering a final slam to the ground.

"I guess I'm not at full power yet...!" Garnet said, falling down on the ground in defeat.

"Have a blessing day." Jasper said firmly.

After defeating the Lab 0's creation with his secret weapon, Jasper watched as Garnet getting up from the ground and taking deep, tiring breaths.

"I won't go back to Lab 0!" Garnet hollered. "And you can't make me!"

With that, Garnet ran out of the seaside town and headed to the unknown.

"She's gone. But what does she mean...Lab 0?" Jasper wondered. "I better go back to Zara's office for my next match."

Arriving in one of the Canopy Kingdom's most illustrious cities, Jasper was incredibly amazed by the Canopy Kingdom's most illustrious cities and the city of art, culture, and sophistication that played the host to a diverse population of humans and ferals from all corners of the bustling streets that resides many strange and mysterious fighters. But he sensed that someone's watching in the shadows.

"Who's there?" Jasper demanded.

Jasper then spotted a bat nurse flying out of the shadows and landed towards him. She has short white hair flares out at the back, teal eyes, and tan skin. She wore a black sports bra, black short shorts with pink hearts at the thighs, and white high-heel boots with metal soles. On her back was a pair of black mechanical bat wings.

"Oh, how amusing." Aquamarine smiled playfully. "I was looking for the escaped Lab 0 project and here I find a famous star. You must be the one who beat her, right?"

"If you mean the girl who has black and red color style, then yes." Jasper responded. "Why?"

"She clearly isn't powerful enough if she lost to you." Aquamarine said. She then shrugged her shoulders. "But it's a certain pity, after all."

"Look, the Skullgirl's out there in this city and I have to find her." Jasper said calmly.

"So you plan to fight the Skullgirl?" Aquamarine questioned. She gave Jasper a sly grin. "Sorry, bug boy. But the fight is off limits. Let's test you out, shall we?"

"Gladly." Jasper said firmly.

"Better behave yourself, big boy!" Aquamarine smiled slyly.

"Beware of the sun, bat!" Jasper grinned.

Jasper then made the first move by throwing a flurry of one-two solar-powered punches at the bat nurse and then delivered several more strong solar-powered punches at her. Aquamarine quickly jumped in the air as her wings spiral down her legs forming a drill at her feet straight at Jasper, but Jasper quickly blocked the attack and fired a giant flail to ensnare the bat nurse and swung her around in overhead circles several times before finally slamming Aquamarine hard into the ground. Aquamarine recovered herself from the attack and flew up in front of Japer to throw out a handful of sharp counterfeit colorful bomb gems at the famous solar fighter from afar. Jasper drew his fists and punched them together to fire an orange solar energy beam straight at Aquamarine. Aquamarine opened her arms sidewards as her wings sprout multiple arrow-headed attacks that spear the famous solar fighter. Jasper gave the bat nurse a sly grin, letting Aquamarine gasp in shock and surprise. Jasper defeated Aquamarine by charging his solar-powered gauntlets and performed a powerful one-inch solar-powered punch that knocked the bat nurse away.

"You'll regret this..." Aquamarine said, falling down on the ground in defeat.

"Winning is everything to me, bat girl!" Jasper smirked proudly.

After defeating the bat nurse with his solar gauntlets, Jasper found Aquamarine's bat wings combined with her fighting style very impressive.

"You have more strength than I thought." Jasper admitted.

"I wasn't gonna say anything, but you can actually wield that Hōseki's flail with you own strength." Aquamarine said firmly.

"I did pick up a few tricks after I beat her." Jasper said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You beat an Hōseki? Don't make me laugh." Aquamarine snickered. "I've been living in that war longer than you ever did. You'll never stand a chance against an Hōseki warrior at full strength."

"But I just did long ago by Agate and Iolite. Even I beat you at my full strength." Jasper smirked.

"For the waste of my time." Aquamarine scoffed. "Good luck with your fighting career, Jasper."

Aquamarine spread her mechanical wings and flew our of Jasper's sight.

Back to the NMO Arena, Jasper found the darker lighting of the place and the whole audience completely empty, but six draped banners are still on display and the night sky along with twinkling stars darkened from above in the ring. As he stepped on the ring, he saw a familiar female pop idol standing towards him. She has purple hair tied in two mid-thigh ponytails, violet eyes, and pale skin. She wore a purple futuristic leotard that has multiple layers that resembled the petals of a rose and purple high-heeled, shin-high boots. Sitting next to her left boot was a small remote parasite that resembled as a robotic dog that has her right eye attached on its head.

"Do you have any clue what's really going on around here?" Amethyst asked.

"Well, hello, Amethyst. It's great to see you again." Jasper smiled.

"Look, stay away from the Skullgirl." Amethyst warned. "This isn't a show or fighting match."

"I've noticed that since I've fought two people who aren't any involvement of the Skullgirl." Jasper said firmly.

"It appears that whoever's behind your latest stunt is setting you up." Amethyst said.

"Agreed, but I'll keep an eye out until I'll finished what I have started." Jasper nodded.

Jasper walked out of the ring as Amethyst watched him with a hopeful look on her face.

As Jasper stopped by into Zara's office, he walked forward to express his concerns over the talk he'd received previously from both Aquamarine and Amethyst.

"I already fought two people around the cities, but they don't appear to interact with the Skullgirl." Jasper said.

"It's the Skullgirl's influence." Zara said. "It can bring them out. Just keep it up and focus on your goal."

"But the stuff I've been hearing..." Jasper spoke.

"Nonsense." Zara interrupted quickly. "They just want to tear you down for good. Think about your career. Everything else is just a distraction."

Jasper became silent for a moment, but he secretly wanted to detect about the whole thing for his next match.

"I'll do it." Jasper said.

"Great. Now here's what I want you to do." Zara grinned.

Arriving in the one of the biggest and brightest building called the River King Casino, the place has many slot machines, blackjack tables, and a host of gamblers looking to win big. It also has a large octopus-shaped water fountain and glass tubes for the Dagonians to swim, and a massive revolving aquarium that spans the entire breadth of the place. But the casino was actually the Medici Mafia hangout for many agents can be found hanging out or spy on others there. Jasper searched around for his next opponent from Zara's list and found him investigating the place. He has spiky dark green hair, pale green eyes, and peach skin. He wore a bright green karate pant with black spiky belt and has dark green scars all over his muscular chest.

"There he is!" Jasper said. He walked over to Peridot and got into his fighting stance. "Ready for this?"

"You want me to fight you?" Peridot asked.

"I didn't stutter." Jasper said firmly. "Prepare yourself for a legendary beatdown."

"So a solar TV fighter is now the Medici muscle?" Peridot questioned.

"I have no intention or connection to the Medici you're talking about, but that's your problem to deal with." Jasper snapped.

"This is gonna be fun today." Peridot smirked.

"Finally, a fighter to fight!" Jasper grinned.

Jasper charged forward and dashed forward with his fists together to deliver five savage solar-powered punches at Peridot. Getting up on his feet, Peridot quickly unleashed a sudden barrage of plasma bolts at Jasper in a low and high directions multiple times. Jasper charged forward at full speed with his solar-powered fist and barraged the plasma warrior with multiple hits. Peridot then quickly cartwheeled through the air with plasma energy emanating from his feet to attack the famous solar fighter. Jasper defeated Peridot by firing a giant flail to ensnare the plasma warrior and swung him around in overhead circles several times before finally slamming him hard into the ground.

"You're strong than I imagined..." Peridot said, falling down on the ground in defeat.

"Thanks for the fight, now face your defeat." Jasper smiled.

After defeating the plasma warrior in the match, Jasper saw Peridot's eyes widened in shock as he believed that his fight with the famous solar fighter was just a distraction.

"I knew it!" Peridot exclaimed sharply. "I was wasting time with you. They might've got Avian! I have to get back to Lab 8!"

Peridot got up and quickly left the casino in a nick of speed. That's when Jasper realized that something wasn't right when he challenged Garnet, Aquamarine, and Peridot as he knew that Amethyst was right all along.

"Something's definitely not right." Jasper said with his eyes narrowed.

Back to Zara's office, Jasper stepped inside and wanted some answers from his partner. But he puts his questions on hold when Zara saw him with a huge grin on her face.

"You did good, Jasper." Zara grinned. "And you will not believe who you're fighting against next."

"Who is it?" Jasper asked.

"That would ruin the surprise." Zara replied.

"Alright then." Jasper said. I wonder if this next match is something beyond unusual.

Back to the NMO Arena, Jasper stood on the ring as the shining lights brighten the entire audience from above.

"Are you ready, Solarpack?" Jasper announced. "Are you ready to the heat of burn?"

The crowd cheered excitedly at their famous fighter's match on the ring.

"Well, tonight, I've got a surprise for all of you!" Jasper continued. "I agreed to a mystery fight for all of you in New Meridian!"

The exciting crowd cheered for the fighting action between Jasper and his opponent.

"How nice of you, Jasper." A familiar voice smiled sinisterly. "Telling the crowd about the mystery match."

Jasper turned to the sound of that voice and his eyes widened in shockingly surprise. He stared at a fake doppelganger of himself. Except for his hair is blond, blue eyes, and peachy skin. He wore a white open shirt beneath his red vest that shows his muscular chest, blue pants with two studded belts, and red shoes. On his arms were a pair of dark blue gauntlets that covered half of his lower arm.

"You're me!" Jasper exclaimed.

"I was about to say the same thing." Fake Jasper smirked. "Remember the match between you and Agate? That fight was rigged and that Agate was drugged. Even Iolite put up more of a fight for his dead lover."

"Why?" Jasper demanded harshly.

"Because it was the only way to show people that the Hōsekis can be beaten." Fake Jasper explained. "It was a setup that the Medici had worked on and it came off perfectly."

"No!" Jasper hollered angrily. "You're going to pay for this, faker!"

"I'm the real champion!" The fake Jasper said slyly.

"There's only room for one fighter here!" Jasper said determinedly.

Both Jasper launched at each other and then start using their solar-powered gauntlets to rapid attacking simultaneously. Jasper then swiftly released a multiple-hitting solar-powered punch that will launch the fake Jasper forward upon the last hit. Double Jasper swiftly dashed forward with his fists together to deliver five savage solar-powered punches at the famous solar fighter. But Jasper dashed forward and performed a series of extremely fast solar-powered uppercuts that threw the fake famous solar fighter up into the air. The fake Jasper charged his solar-powered gauntlets and performed a powerful one-inch solar-powered punch that knocked the Jasper away. Unfortunately, Jasper wasn't done yet. Jasper finished the fake Jasper by stretching out the giant flail to grab him and slammed him around several times before delivering a final slam to the ground that lead to his ultimate victory.

"The winner...is you..." The fake Jasper said, falling down on the floor in pain and defeat.

"I'm the real deal around here." Jasper said with a bold smile.

After defeating the fake solar fighter in the ring, Jasper watched his own twisted copy getting from the ground and glared at him.

"Now you'll feel the pain of defeat!" Jasper sneered.

"You'll regret this soon enough." Fake Jasper grinned evilly.

"Regrets are between me Agate, faker. Now get out." Jasper snapped.

Fake Jasper send Jasper one last evil smile and mysteriously walked out of the ring into the shadows.

About what that fraud said doesn't matter. I'll make it up to all of my fans. Even Agate. Jasper thought, acknowledging the truth from the doppelganger's words. He felt his guilt for his fallen adversary Agate and what happened to her. He looked at the crowd determinedly. "Tonight, I promise you the biggest match of my career. I'm going to take on the Skullgirl once and for all!"

Despite the whole match between Jasper and his fake doppelganger, the crowd cheered for his bold declaration.

Back to Zara's office, Jasper returned to see Zara was less than pleased to hear what she had heard him shouting in the ring.

"I saw your declaration in the ring and that was quite deep." Zara said with a stern frown.

"Because I had enough of the crazy nonsense." Jasper said firmly. "I'm ready to fight the Skullgirl now."

Zara became unimpressed and annoyed by Jasper's words, but hearing about the solar fighter challenging the Skullgirl in combat had made her quickly put a smile on her face.

"You're such a fool and now your fate is sealed. All I needed was for you to defeat the opponents I selected." Zara stated. Her face slowly changed into a cruel grin of Sister Agatha. "Now, it's time to put you down."

"What the hell?!" Jasper exclaimed in bewilderment.

Zara's body suddenly transformed into a giant monster's head as she entrapped Jasper and swallowed him whole before slithering her away out of the office.

Arriving in a barren underground wasteland, Jasper was freaked out of the area filled to the brim with teeth, eyes, veins, and other organic materials. The tall columns, statues, and other broken debris are over around that an old civilization used to live in the area with a large pool of blood flowing below a glimmer of light shining the reddish area from above. Jasper spun around to see host of other unconscious fighters: Feng, Taliesin, Hubrecht, D. Violet, Ruby, Molly, Roxie, Adam, Hive, Stanley, and Leduc. But his shocking eyes quickly detected the three unconscious fighters that he fought: Topaz, Garnet, and Peridot.

"Those are the guys I've beaten before!" Jasper exclaimed. "What the hell are you?"

"Poor soul. Don't you recognize me?" The formless beast asked, transforming simply into the shape of the nun that Jasper met back at the Grand Cathedral. Her red eyes had frighteningly matched her sinister smile. "These inferior beings dared get in our way and that sealed their fate." She opened her mouth impossibly wide and transformed back into a grotesque monster of distorted flesh and teeth with a crown-like object on her head. "This is the road you have chosen and so you shall join them."

"I don't think so!" Jasper snapped angrily.

"You'll regret challenging the Skullgirl." Double snarled.

"You're done acting me!" Jasper hollered.

Double shapeshifted into the form of a huge, demonic hand with a mouth that grabbed Jasper with the three handed tongue and crushed the famous claw fighter before spitting him out. Jasper dashed forward and charged forward at full speed with his solar-powered fist and barraged Double with multiple hits. Double then transformed into Ms. Fortune to grab Jasper and somersaults forward twice before throwing him back onto the ground right below her until she then shapeshifted into Painwheel to bend both her legs back with each heel protruding a needle that created sparks against the spinning Buer Drive in the air. Fortunately as a fighter champion himself, Jasper was able to detect weak spots as he viewed Double as an easy opponent to handle. Jasper swiftly stretched out the giant flail to grab Double and slammed her around several times before delivering a final slam to the ground. Before Double can shapeshift into another person to attack, Jasper took his perfect opportunity to attack the shapeshifting monster by dashing forward and rapidly hit her with one solar-powered fist in a speed punching bag attack and then delivered with a solar-powered uppercut from the other hand that led to his victory.

"Forgive me, masters..." Double said, falling down on the floor in defeat.

"Begone, freak!" Jasper said determinedly.

After defeating the demonic shapeshifter in the disgusting area, Jasper stared sternly at Double, who was giving him a fierce glare.

"I beat you!" Jasper hollered boldly.

"You're not leaving just yet." Double retorted.

Suddenly, Amethyst rushed in the wasteland on her now giant Rex's back as if she was the rider on a horse.

"Are you crazy, Jasper?" Amethyst shouted.

Amethyst skillfully slashed the intestines with her massive sword to free all of the prisoners that Double had consumed. Rex's tail converted himself into a hovercraft to seal everyone and Jasper inside as he carried his master and them out.

Exiting out the blue glowing vein that led the remote parasite out of Gehenna and into the Skullgirl's cryptic secretly kept beneath the Grand Cathedral, Rex converted back into his dog form and protected the unconscious fighters as Amethyst deals with Jasper.

"I told you to stay away from the Skullgirl and you didn't listen to me!" Amethyst snapped.

"Look, Amethyst..." Jasper spoke.

"That shapeshifted monster will find her way here any second and the Skullgirl is right above us, but we have to get everyone out of her." Amethyst interrupted sassily.

"Amethyst, I was curious when you gave me that warning about what's really going on." Jasper explained calmly. "But I have a duty to make it right now. I promised to take down the Skullgirl for all those people and for Agate."

"Very well. You do what you want." Amethyst sighed. "But just be careful."

"I will." Jasper nodded. He unexpectedly noticed that Agate's flail began to react on the Skullgirl's presence as if she immediately was influencing the weapon. "The Skullgirl must be calling you up there."

Jasper simply followed the flail all the way up to meet his ultimate challenge.

As Jasper rushed to the stairs and entered inside the catacombs, he was a bit creeped out about the broken ruins of the place and saw a bizarre blue light coming from the Skullgirl, glaring calmly at him as she was really to make her final stand against a determined opponent. She has gray hair with skulls adorning her hair to keep her two ponytails straight and tidy and wore a maid outfit with a blue light hanging off of her back, but her eyes didn't freaked Jasper at all. The Skullgirl's eyes were blood red that had the shape of half of a skull in both pupils.

"So you plan to fight me...with that weapon." Marie noted calmly.

"Seems that way." Jasper shrugged.

"I only have sympathy for Agate and you exploited her during the war." Marie said.

"Look, I know the truth now. It wasn't a fair fight for me and Agate. But I'm here to make things right so she can finally rest in peace." Jasper explained generously.

"You may fight for glory, but you have picked the wrong fight." Marie said. That's when her voice became almost fierce and demonic. "This time, you will only find your grave."

When Marie raised her arms in the air, the sound of thunder crashes throughout the catacombs. Turquoise watched the entire place changing itself into a skeletal battlefield. She saw several fragments of broken Trinity statues looming overhead as a full moon shines down onto the arena. With little left to stand on for support, the Skullgirl's raw energy created a makeshift floor in the form of thick, bright blue strands with skulls laced into them with several skulls were littering at the ground.

"I'll suck the life out of you." Marie stated, lifting her arms to bring forth giant skulls to protect around her in battle.

"I'll sent you back to your grave!" Jasper declared determinedly.

Jasper charged forth and immediately released a multiple-hitting solar-powered punch that will launch the Skullgirl forward upon the last hit. But the Skullgirl felt no pride and summoned a pile of skeletons from the ground to grapple Jasper's feet with slight scratch damage before tossing him across the field. Jasper got back on his feet and dashed forward to Marie while quickly unleashing a series of rapid punches to the Skullgirl. Unfortunately, Marie spews out an endless array of skulls that was flying in towards Jasper, who was dodging very quickly and swiftly. Jasper then performed a series of extremely fast solar-powered uppercuts that threw the Skullgirl into the air. Just as the Skullgirl summons another pile of skeletons from the ground, Jasper blocked the attack by charging full speed at Marie with his solar-powered gauntlets that barraged her with hits. Sending her opponent a fierce glare, Marie began to lower herself down to the ground while emitting a blue explosion and changed herself into her second form: she was now floating in the air with a black figure created by the Skull Heart floating right behind her. As the shadow flies upward in the air, it quickly came down from above that damage Jasper painfully. Lucky for him, Jasper charged his solar gauntlets and performed a powerful one-inch solar-powered punch that knocked the Skullgirl away. That's when the shadow started to attack when it sunk down into the ground until it then came up to punch Jasper from underneath. After Jasper blocked the attack, he dashed forward and rapidly hit Marie with one solar-powered fist in a speed punching bag attack and then finished the Skullgirl with a solar-powered uppercut from the other hand. Feeling weak and pain through her whole body, Marie started to change into her third and final form. After letting out a loud painful scream, Marie was now an organism with merely bones surrounding the Skull Heart as its energies was keeping her together. Marie then spew out an endless array of skulls to fly towards Jasper, but the famous solar fighter stretched out the giant flail to grab the Skullgirl and slammed her around several times before delivering a final slam to the ground. But the Skullgirl quickly send out the shadow to attack, leaving the shadow to jab at Jasper and send him flying across the battlefield with moderate damage. But Jasper then noticed a weak spot and knew the exact move to beat the Skullgirl for good. Jasper defeated her by firing a giant flail to ensnare the Skullgirl and swung her around in overhead circles several times before finally slamming Marie hard into the ground. Marie gave one last scream in pain and her entire body began to vanish out of the battle, leaving the Skull Heart behind.

"I'm the legend fighter!" Jasper said boldly.

After defeating the Skullgirl Marie, Jasper was glancing at the defeated Marie to see that her right eye was gone, her left arm was now all bony, and her back begins to break down into pieces as the blue fiery light begins to engulf her.

"You're...stronger than I anticipated." Marie begged weakly. "But much of your strength is borrowed. I'll turn it against you."

Marie used her power over the dead left from the Skull Heart to reanimate Agate's weapon again, but this time she put herself as the Skull Heart and the soul of the deceased remains against Jasper, who was being pinned down to the bony ground under the giant flail.

"What can be worse than this?" Jasper asked in a restrained tone.

Suddenly, Double resurfaced as a ravenous maw of eyes and teeth that set her jaws on Jasper.

"I had to ask." Jasper groaned.

"Foolish Jasper! Now become dragon food!" Double roared.

As Jasper was about to face Double's giant dragon jaws, Amethyst suddenly rushed in the fight to rescue Jasper from the monster's clutching jaws.

"UNIVERSE METEORS!" Amethyst shouted.

Amethyst released multiple purple sword-like meteors to come crashing down on Double, who was screaming in pain. The futuristic maiden has a one on one confrontation with the shapeshifting monster.

"Your fight's with me, monster!" Amethyst declared.

"Don't bother, child. This is your end." Double promised sinisterly.

Jasper stood up from the giant flail and began to have a momentary heart to heart with his mix-matched recreational rival.

"Just like old times, Agate." Jasper said. "I'm sorry about how your own life was treated and that I was completely unaware of it."

Then, an eerie presence soon reacted to the gigantic wrestler right in front of Jasper.

"Forget the past. Let us settle this as warriors!" Agate urged with a grin.

As Agate attacked Jasper by spinning her giant flail around and delivered a flail slam on him, Jasper caught the flail with his solar strength from his gauntlets and used the same move he did during his first match with the Hōseki: leaping up high in the air to flip himself upside-down and dove fist-first straight down to Agate. That move proved Jasper would have won even without help in the first place.

"Jasper, smash the Skull Heart!" Amethyst instructed, using her sword to fight against Double.

Jasper nodded his head and charged right to the Skull Heart as he planned to deliver the devastating move at the evil relic in order to avenge his fallen rival.

"This one's..." Jasper hollered boldly. He punched his fists together and fired an orange energy beam in front of the Skull Heart, destroying it in the process."...for AGATE!"

With the Skull Heart destroyed out of Jasper's sight, the catacombs began to crumble down into pieces to crush anyone who entered in. Then, Amethyst was dealing the sword blows to Double.

"It's over, shapeshifter!" Amethyst yelled.

Amethyst delivered a glowing violet ball of mystical energy from the tip of her sword and fired it directly at Double.

"I'll see you again, child." Double smiled evilly.

After his journey on battling the Skullgirl and destroying the Skull Heart was over, Jasper was putting Agate's remains in her grave to rest bidding his worthy adversary as a final farewell.

"Hope you can rest in peace." Jasper said calmly. "I'm just glad it's over."

"For awhile. Because the fight never really ends no matter how long I go on." Amethyst admitted, knowing that the war continually will rage onward due to the ever appearing Skullgirl. She looked at Jasper with a grin. "You know, Jasper, you're kind of a strong but brutal guy. You remind me of somebody I used to know years ago that helped me when I needed." Then, she has a sudden idea. "Now that I'm thinking about it, that's a great idea."

"What is?" Jasper asked.

"I want you to be my TV partner on my show." Amethyst explained. "I think you've earned your spot. What do you say? After all, you helped me find my way to the heart of this little problem."

Jasper was thinking about Amethyst's offer about a new spot on her show as he knew that it was more popular than it had ever been since. He finally got a thumbs-up at Amethyst.

Debuting on air as the new and improved heroic partner to the Dionysus Puma, Jasper and Amethyst revealed themselves in their fighting poses on the camera screen. Jasper wore an orange leather vest under a black jacket, black pants, and orange leather boots while Amethyst wore a mid-thigh length tight purple dress and knee-length purple boots.

"With my solar power and your magic sword, we make an incredible team." Jasper smiled.

"Like the sound of that." Amethyst grinned.

At Lab 8, only Emerald, Peridot, Katana, Nitro, and Zula are watching the show. Peridot saw Jasper's appearance and turned away from the television screen with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Yay, Jasper!" Nitro cheered.

"This show doesn't make any sense to me. Who is that guy anyway?" Emerald asked confusingly.

"As long as there are fighting, I'm good." Katana said.

"What are you guys talking about?" Zula inquired in deep confusion.
