Rangers POV
Dam how did I get in this situation again? Oh yeah I could not keep my mouth shut.
"Cant breath" I gasped
"Good" Steph said as she kept the pressure on my throat and ribs
"Babe" I pleaded in a whisper
"Unless you are going to answer my question shut up"
I heard footsteps and so did she because she growled "get out you three"
"Um Steph" Mammas voice good maybe she can talk her down "I know he deserves your wrath but how about letting up just a little so he can breathe" What the hell I cut my eyes to her "you stay quiet" she pointed at me as she knelt down next to us and started rubbing Steph's back.
They were both whispering and finally she let up a little on my throat and I could breathe easier. Mama and Steph were still taking in whispers into each other's ears and I tried to move a little and instantly Steph's knees were digging again. Once I mouthed sorry was just trying to get more comfortable she let up again.
A few more minutes of whispering and mama turned to me and I could see the furry in them. I gulped and tried to put on my innocent face and whispered "what did I do?" as you guess it did not work.
"I'm sure" she stared me down "always the oh so innocent one" she was glaring now and I felt like shrinking into the floor "who are you to tell her what she can do with her life? Better yet who are you to tell her who she can have in her life?"
Steph had let up some so I was able to talk "that kid is trouble and she has enough of that in her life already" I looked between the two "I don't usually demand what you do babe but this time I am you are not taking that brat in. I don't know if there can be an us if you take him in."
Wrong thing to say Steph put almost all her weight into her knees and leaned into my face and growled "FINE WE ARE DONE. YOU ARE ACTING JUST LIKE MORELLI. I THOUGHT YOU WHERE DIFFERENT AND YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT TO BE IN A REATIONSHIP YOU NEED TO PUT SOMETHING INTO IT AND QUIT PUSHING THE OTHER PERSON AWAY" she got up and started to walk towards the door as I gasped for breath then she turned around "I am having Hector come and get your stuff at my apartment and he can bring it here and anything I have you can have him bring it back to me" she shook her head "and if you're wondering I quit" then she stormed out of the apartment.
I went to try to get up but mama pushed me back down "leave her" she barked and turned to the door as it opened a crack. "Yes Les" she asked.
"I am going with Beautiful" he said
I looked to her and she nodded "I figured that" she nodded again "make sure she is ok"
"I will don't worry" she smiled and he said "call you later"
I went to get up again and she pushed me back down "Let me up"
She shook her head "you both need time to cool down and think" she paused "I just hope you did not totally blow it with her she is the best thing for you" she pushed her heel into my chest "don't even think of going after her because I got the guys watching for you at all the exits."
"When did you have ti…" I started to ask but then seen her send a text "that was the order wasn't it?"
She nodded "Yes and I recommend till I calm down you take a seat somewhere and don't push me any further than you have" she said as she held her hand out to the side where I see Gianni standing. He walked over and took her hand and they both walked out the apartment door.
I laid there till I heard the door open again and sat up to see two of my best friends walk in. They pulled me to my feet and Bobby asked "you Ok?"
I shook my head "I think I just gave my cousin the chance he's wanted since she walked into our lives." Les loves Fred already and treats him good and he also loves Steph but never tried anything because we have always been like brothers and we made a pact long ago that if more than one of us like a girl the one to claim her first got first dibs.
"What is so bad about this Fred kid?" Bobby
Tank and my head snapped over to him "are you serious?" I asked
"He acts like we used…" I sighed "just like we used to"
"Sort of but we were worse" Bobby said "and we all turned out pretty good" he smiled "and with Steph in his corner he will be great" he looked between the two of us "just look at what she has done with her Jay."
I thought about it for a little before nodding "your right" I groaned "I did not give her skills or feeling any thought when she told me about taking him in."
"No" Tank piped in "you acted like a jerk" they both smirked "we have to find out how Little Girl gets you pinned so easily."
I growled "Yeah it sucks" I frowned "She was so mad that she almost made me pass out this time" I flopped on the couch "How am I supposed to fix this?" I asked as I buried my face in my hands.
We sat in silence all lost in our own thoughts for a while before I was struck with a thought and looked up and said "I have to change or I am going to lose her to my cousin" I sighed "Les loves her and he is always there to help her get over all my screw ups."
Tank nodded "he dose and he has not acted on it because he knows she's yours but I think that might not matter soon" I groaned "you are not Morelli but if you don't change how you react to and about her you might be in his club soon"
"Club?"
Bobby shook his head "he means that you will also lose her and I know you don't want that."
I nodded "your right but how do I fix it?"
