Part 13 Observation G
Amanda watched as Saavik walked holding her son's hand. She glanced over at Doctor McCoy who merely smiled brightly. He to it seemed had figured out Sarek's plan. She slowed her pace so that the Doctor could join her. It was well that they were well behind Spock , Saavik and James T. Kirk all who were discussing Saavik and her new desire to join Star Fleet. So engaged in the conversation that they never realized how closely they were being observed or what speculations were going on.
"Lady Amanda you know this will complicate things."
"Yes, I hope you will remain Spock's doctor as well as Saavik"
McCoy shook his head. "I am not that young Lady Amanda and…."His vioce dropped low and he whispered."I never was very good at obstetrics."
Amanda began to laugh. And whispered "Well at least the children are likely to look Vulcan."
McCoy began to laugh "But be emotional like Humans. I wonder if Sarek considered that part."
Sarek stopped and looked back. His eyes laughing softly.
"Well I be damned he did." McCoy said stumbling.
"Have a care doctor we would not wish to have to find a new physician for my family." Sarek said "I considered it might be simpler if grandchildren could at least understand emotions as My wife is won't to spoil them with human affection/"
"As if that has hurt you sir." McCoy Said getting into the game.
"It has been a trial but one must adapt if IDIC is to be embraced." Sarek said his eyes twinkling.
Amanda gave him a playful swat clearly amused.
