There is a flu epidemic in my own home. It started two weeks ago, when I was still getting over my fever, my mom came home and was complaining about her sinuses. My father and I did not think much of it because of all the cold weather recently, but things started getting fishy when 3 out of my four siblings that I live with started complaining about their throats, painful coughs and headaches. My dad bought some over-the-counter medication but that did not help much so we ended up administering them to a hospital and they had to stay there until they got better. And then there were four; me, my little brother, my mom and my dad. We were all pretty sure who brought the virus into our house but we couldn't say it out loud (cause she kinda does the groceries and feeds us and you wouldn't want to bite the hand that feeds you, ya know?). Besides if we did confront her about it then she'd most likely deny it and it would not solve much anyway. So we all decided to just distance ourselves from the woman to avoid getting sick. But it was already too late, the very next day I was overwhelmed with chills, the vomits, and nausea. My brother ended up nearly fainting while my parents were driving me to the hospital and he had to stay there with me, it turns out that I had meningitis... My dad succumbed to the sickness two days later. Ironically, the person who brought the sickness was the last to go; my mom had to spend a few nights in the hospital the next day my dad came in. After a few days two of my younger siblings got better and are now living with our grandparents until my parents themselves get better. And that brings us to the importance of family, why go through a period of intense headaches, joint pain, sore throat, and nausea alone when you can do it together with your family? Sike! This has got be number two in my top ten horrible events in my life (if you'd like I could tell you the rest later). Well, wallowing in despair and feeling sorry for myself won't change anything so I'll just keep my mind off of that by focusing on my fanfiction. And yes, I have actually noticed that I am waaaaaaay overdue and I deeply apologize for that since I did not take care of myself well enough to post my next chapter on time. I am so sorry :(. I couldn't just keep lying down on this really uncomfortable hospitable cot..bed-thingy and just wait for myself to get better before I posted a new chapter. I'll probably have to post two chapter in a week again, but meh, I don't mind. So heres' chapter 13! And again I am very sorry.

Kabuto
Kabuto could barely contain his laughter during their little exchange. The proud and strong-willed Sakura practically pleading to be let out, he had to admit that he was caught by surprise. 'Look, if you lock me in then I'll probably find another way to break out of here and do something dangerous', her little threat hadn't fazed him at all. Something dangerous like what? If she meant releasing the test subjects then she'd be in for a surprise; they'd kill her on the spot after being released. She turned her back on them for Sasuke and, unfortunately, they tended to hold grudges. She probably did not think thoroughly before approaching him with her "truce" but he had to commend her for it; he didn't think she'd agree to his terms. He felt a slight chuckle climb up his throat when she said 'okay' to them. It took him a few moments to compose himself before he opened her door; chakra-less or not he wouldn't dare laugh at her to her face, she was a force to be reckoned with when angry. He couldn't even fully take part in their little stare-down standoff because he could barely contain his laughter at the way she just casually came out and glared at him as if she hadn't practically begged to be let out. He found her amusing.
"Where are you taking me," Sakura asked just a few steps behind him.
"Somewhere." Kabuto heard her mutter something unintelligible. Hopefully giving her some fresh air every once in a while will sedate her enough for him to be able to focus on his job. They made their way out of the east wing and into the west one.
"We've walked for a long time now, where exactly are we going?" Kabuto ignored her question. She muttered a few more unintelligible insults under her breath. Sakura bumped into him with an 'oof' when Kabuto stopped unexpectedly at the end of a hallway. Kabuto fished out the keys from his pocket and opened the door.
"You could've warned me before you just…" Sakura stopped in the middle of her sentence once she caught sight of what lied behind the door. He'd been expecting that.
"I can't take you outside; this is the best I can offer." Sakura maneuvered past him and stepped in. This room was specially made for herbs and plants. It was basically just a very large botanical garden; there were plants in every direction. The most noticeable thing about the huge room was the transparent dome that made the ceiling. It gave a clear view of the sky but its main purpose was to give the plants sunlight. And this was literally the brightest room in the lair. He walked closed the door and addressed Sakura.
"I hope this meets your needs for 'a few hours of fresh air a day', it's the only thing closest." Sakura erased her look of awe and cleared her throat.
"...yeah, this'll do," she said with a fake nonchalance.
