Author's note: I'm going to start the chapter. And I'm sorry if the canon characters act OOC. It's just that...I added some drama there. And a bit of a warning that the characters POV will change back in forth in this chapter.

Disclaimer: Yugioh 5Ds was never mind. I only own my OCs.

Chapter 12

I don't what's worse. Getting that terrible feeling from a headache I've got since yesterday and that my whole body feels like it's on fire, or that there was a loud banging noise on the wall that woke me up at four o'clock in the morning. I don't know. It could be both. And with those two situation happening at the same time, of course it has to be both.

Suddenly, the door slammed opened, letting the intruder get inside my room. Turned that he's actually a Security Officer. "He's not in here!"

I glared at him. "What the heck are you doing in my room?" I demanded groggily.

I didn't get an answer, but I do hear another voice shouted. "I got him!"

The officer who barged in muttered an apology and leave the room. I got out of bed and followed him, only to see Yusei, Crow, Aoi, and Bruno downstairs. I took this opportunity to ask them.

"Guys, what's going on?"

Before anyone of them can answered, two Security officers came downstairs...with Jack in handcuffs. What the hell...?

"I told you that I have done nothing wrong!" Jack shouted as the officers drag him outside and force him to get inside the car. "Unhand me this instant!"

The officer closed the door, and let drove away, with Jack's duel runner in tow. The rest of us were left speechless.

I turned to the guys. "Come on, we need to find out what is going on here?"

They agreed and head to our vehicles in order to get to the Sector Security Headquarters.

We arrived at the headquarters and were told to wait at the lounge until someone comes here to get us. An hour later, a door slide opened, and we immediately recognized this person.

"Hey guys." Yuna greeted. We muttered irritated, yet concerned hellos as she walked in. "I know what you guys are thinking now, and it seems like a really bad time, isn't it?"

"Quite so, considering that your 'buddies' just jailed one of our friends this morning." Aoi replied. Yuna didn't say anything about that.

"Yuna, would you be telling us on why did Jack got arrested?" Yusei asked.

Yuna nodded. "If you all would come with me inside, then we'll explain everything to you. But I suggested that you must brace yourselves. Because what you will see in there...is not going to be pretty."

Uh oh. The way she says that, it doesn't sound like it's going to be pretty at all. In fact, I don't even need to use my aura reading ability to know that Yuna is nervous about this, despite keeping a calm face.

Yuna took all five of us to the basement level, where Mikage was waiting for us, and Ushio was glaring down through the glass panel, where it showed Jack in his prison cell. Mikage went to us as she fiddled her pen and held the files in her hand tightly.

"Hello everyone." Mikage greeted. "I know what you five are wondering about and I supposed that you all have the right to know. You see, someone was out on the highway, dueling against the other Turbo Duelist, and rammed his duel runners against his opponents after their lost. Some of them were fatally injured as results. Few people have reported that Jack Atlas was the suspect, and his duel runners was exactly the same."

Some of us gasped at this in shock. There's no way...there's no way Jack would do this, would he?

"Mikage, please tell us that this is a misunderstanding." I pleaded.

"...I wish that was the case." Mikage admitted sadly. "But this footage that was caught few nights ago shows that he did it."

That was when the TV screen was turned on. The video popped up and show the image of Jack ramming against some random Turbo Duelist over and over again, until the latter was sent flying. Not only that, there was a familiar black and red demon like dragon flying alongside him.

"That's Red Dragon Archfiend!" Yusei exclaimed. "But that doesn't make any sense!"

"Well, this video shows the real thing." Ushio replied. "Unfortunately him, we have three other instances like these in the past few weeks."

"So unless any of you guys have any evidence to prove he's innocent, Jack has no alibi." Yuna added.

But this doesn't make any sense, I thought, Jack wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone like that. Would he?

Unfortunately, that thought was crumbled down. "Well, the timing works." Crow muttered.

Yuna leaned forward and have her eyebrow raised in question. "What do you mean 'the timing works', Crow?"

I'll be honest here. I'm completely clueless right now. And I have no doubt that Aoi is too. So, that would be the other three...

"Guys. Did something happened that neither Aoi and I know about?" I asked.

Silence filled the room until Bruno hesitantly spoke up. "Well, it's about a week ago when this happens."

Yusei picked up. "We were training for the WRGP and were focusing on Tag Duels and team tactics, trying to come up with some strategies to build up the team."

"Unfortunately, things got sour during the practice." Crow grimaced. "There's this card that Yusei and I were trying to get him to play, but he wouldn't listen, no matter how many times we told him. We ended up getting into a fight and then he got angry, and 'BAM!' he decided to leave."

Aoi looked up in realization. "Is this why Jack's been in a bad mood lately?"

"Yeah." Yusei replied nervously.

Now I see why. The situation fits, but I don't want to come cross to the conclusion that Jack was guilty for his crime. There has to be a mistake...somehow.

However, things got really ugly once Crow rushed toward the glass ceiling of Jack's cell and stood on the railings on the deck. "What the hell, Jack?! First, we have a fight, and now you're taking it out on random, innocent people?!"

"It wasn't me. I'm innocent." Jack simply replied in a calm, yet frustrated tone.

"Well you don't seem that innocent to me!" The Blackwing Duelist argued. "How do you explain about the video over there, huh? That was your Duel Runner there, slamming into people! And that was Red Dragon Archfiend, tearing through the sky! How could that have been someone else?"

"How should I know? All I know is that I didn't do it."

"Crow, stop it!" I shouted. "I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for all this!"

"Crystal, I hate to say this, but what other reasons are there?" Aoi said. "There's nothing else here to prove Jack didn't commit a crime."

"Besides, there's only one Wheel of Fortune and one Red Dragon Archfiend in this world. There's nothing else like that." Yusei added.

I could feel the anger rising inside me. "Well thanks for the logic, you two. But can't you at least put some faith behind those words?"

"Come on you guys, why is Crystal the only one backing me up on this?!" Jack shouted. "I didn't do what I didn't do!"

"Right," Crow said sarcastically. "Keep denying all you want. You're still too good for us, so you're going to try to kill our team together? You think you're so great, that you're going to screw us all over like a stuck up jerk you are?!"

"Crow!"

"You! Why don't you get your ass down here, Crow, and say that to my face?!" Jack threatened.

"I'd love to, but you seemed pretty occupied. You know, being in jail and all."

"Crow, that's enough!" Yusei attempted to grabbed the ginger by the shoulder, but the latter slapped it away and continued on with the protest.

"How long will it take for you to realize that none of us like you? You're clearly the world's most selfish man!"

Now I'm really angry at what Crow said and turned to glare at him. "Crow, just shut up!"

This time, Yusei pulled Crow away from the deck, and two officers dragged Jack away, furiously kicking and shouting into a different area, where none of us can hear him anymore. I took this opportunity to yelled at Crow a bit more.

"What the heck, Crow? That was seriously uncalled for!"

"You don't get it, do you Crystal?" Crow replied angrily. "Do you think you would still believe him, even though that tape proves it?"

"Maybe I wouldn't, if I didn't sense that he is telling the truth!" I argued. "Don't tell me that you think Jack is guilty, do you?"

"Crystal, I don't think you should-"

"Aoi, just shut up for now!" I yelled at the blue hair psychic before turning back to the ginger.

"And what if I say, 'I do'?" Crow asked.

"It...it just feels wrong to think that Jack would be the kind of person to do this, whether he's truly a jerk or not." I admitted.

Crow crossed his arm and replied. "Then I think we should forget about him. At the very least, Jack will be spending time in a rotten cell, where selfish people with attitude problems like him hang out."

I gasped at those words he said and growled. "What a hypocrite you are, Crow. You're the one who spend more time in a jail cell than Jack did!"

The Blackwing duelist did a double take on that. "At least for a better reason. I'm not the one who ended up hurting innocent people on the street!"

"You're such a-!"

"Both of you...ENOUGH!"

SMACK! SMACK!

I let out a cry of pain as I felt a sharp sting collided to my face. Crow also received a slap on a face as well. And the person who was responsible for that, was...

"Yuna, what the hell?" Crow spoke in disbelief.

"I said, enough!" Yuna said sternly, giving out a cold look on her face. "I knew this would've happen if anyone of you start an outburst like what you and Crystal did just did earlier." I glanced at Crow with a look of guilt on my face and then turn away, not wanting to meet his eyes. I could feel Yuna staring at us with an unreadable expression on her face and then sighed. "Listen. As of now, there's nothing you can do about this. But I will look into the investigation a bit further and see if I can do anything to help out Jack from receiving a guilty verdict. I not going to promise anything, but I will at least try to do what I can. In the meantime, I suggest you all should head on home to rest and cool your heads off for a bit, so that the situation won't be as ugly as it is right now. Understood?"

We mumbled an irritated yeses in response and head back into the apartment. By the time we got there, I sped straight up to my room, lock the door, and land face-down on the pillow, letting out a muffled frustrated scream. I could hear an heated conversation coming from downstairs, but I don't even have a heart to listen, nor do I care!

Ugh...Crow is such an idiot! He shouldn't have to say all those things! That makes him more of a hypocrite!

Though, maybe I have cross the border-line as well. I shouldn't have to yell at him like that. I mean, I'm sure he's as confuse as everyone else in this room, and doesn't even know what to believe anymore. Still, that doesn't excuse him from saying those things! Unless he admit his mistakes, I'm not apologizing!

The next day...

"Crystal, I think you should find a way to make up with Crow now." Yusei said as I head into the living room, fuming in annoyance.

"Me? Apologize to that little black bird? Why should I?" I asked.

"For one thing, you said something that was completely unnecessary back at the HQ." Aoi pointed out. "Not to mention that this morning, there was this incident when Crow asked for a glass of milk, you literally pour a whole gallon on his lap and then he got pissed off. Then when he asked for some pepper for his eggs, you ended up throwing the whole thing at his face. And let's not forget that after he made an insult about you, you could've popped the tire on his duel runner with a screw driver if neither Yusei or Bruno have stop you."

"GAH! Fine! I admit that I did all these things to him, because I'm still angry at Crow for what he had said to Jack at the HQ! And maybe I shouldn't have done all that!" I screamed, throwing my arms in the air in defeat. "But think about it! What he's doing was worse than what Jack to you guys about a week ago! Basically, he could've screwed up not only your team effort, but also our bonds as friends and family members! It just hurts me to think about this."

I looked up to see that Yusei and Aoi were looking at each other in concern before turning back to me and sighed. "You're right. Crow just had to put his foot into his mouth." Yusei said. "But you got to understand that he didn't truly mean what he said. Eventually, he think it over of what he had done wrong and come to regret it later."

"But you still have to apologize him." Aoi added. "Crow is still offended by what you said to him."

"Yeah. You got a point. It's not like I knew what it's like to be in prison and get a criminal mark on my face." Unless you count a Dark Signer prison as one, but that was an entirely different situation I have to get out of. "But I really don't know what to do anymore. I mean, all that evidence..."

"Don't worry. We'll think of something." Yusei assured. "Hopefully before Jack gets sent to prison."

"I hope so too. Unfortunately, there's nothing much we can do now. And I don't know how long will Jack be able to survive in there." I said and shuddered at that thought. Most likely sure, he's going to throw a tantrum.

"But we got Yuna to help him out." Aoi added. "I'm sure she can figure out something. If not, I don't know who else can."

Yuna's POV

"What do you mean you're putting the investigation into halt?!" Jack shouted angrily once Mikage told him the news. Earlier, I was questioning Jack to see if I can get some clues from him, but it was interrupted when Mikage came inside the room and said something that clearly leaves him in shock.

"We can't find any evidence to confirm your innocent, so there's nothing else we can do. I'm sorry Atlas-sama."

"Mikage, I think it's too early to end the investigation like this." I stepped in, giving her a concern look. "Just give it a bit more time and then reconsider it!"

"Yuna, just give it up. There's nothing you can do right now. " Mikage exited the interrogation room, and I could've sworn I saw tears in her eyes when she left. I sighed and stood up from my chair.

"Don't tell me you're giving up as well, Tsukina?!" Jack yelled.

"Just because Mikage told me to quit, doesn't mean I will!" I snapped. "Look, I'll think of something, Atlas. Just give me time to cool my head a bit."

I left the interrogation room and sighed in frustration. Few minuets later, I saw Kazama walking towards me from the hallway, looking concern and panic.

"Yuna, I heard what happened. Don't tell me you're planning on to giving up on that investigation?!" He said in a tone of disbelief. "You know Jack isn't the kind of person who would do such a thing!"

"I know that. Considering I'm getting a response of 'I'm innocent. There's no way I would do it!' all over and over again in his mind." I answered, almost irritably. But seriously, this is getting us nowhere. How am I suppose to find Jack innocent if I can't find evidence to prove it. Unless I can find someone who is posing as him, but that's impossible.

Suddenly, the alarm rang, coming from one of the jail cells. I froze a bit and head over there, only to find that Mikage, Ushio, and some other Sector Security officers are already there, specially at Jack's cell.

"What's going on?!" I demanded.

"Jack just broke out of the cell!" Ushio answered. I bit my lips to resist the urge to yell.

Dammit, Jack you son of a bitch! I thought, I swore to you and your friends that I'll think of something to help you get out of jail, only for this to happen?!

"How did he get out?" I asked.

"The electric lock on the cell door exploded." Mikage explained with a worried look on her face. "When we got here, he's gone!"

Wait, the lock was broken? Confusion spread my face. "But the locks are on the outside."

"Yeah. So what?" Ushio asked.

"There's no way Jack could've tampered with the lock on the outside." I explained. "That would mean someone else did that for him and help him escape."

"What?! But who would do that?!"

"I don't know. But I'm planning to find out." I declared and head outside to go after him.

Aoi's POV

"What?! Jack escaped?!" I yelled in disbelief. I just got out of work a few minutes ago, only to hear this from Yusei. "What the hell is he thinking? He's going to get himself into more trouble!"

"I know." Yusei replied over the computer screen of my duel runner. "Crystal and Crow have already split up to search for him. You should do the same, too."

"Got it. By the way, did they apologize to each other, yet?" I asked. Because I'm not going to get use to Crystal and Crow fighting each other every single day.

"Not yet. But it seems like they were going to before Yuna called."

"Oh...Alright. Anyway, I'll try to call you once I find something."

Yusei nodded and then the screen shut off. About half an hour later, I saw a black duel runner, outlined in blue, sped alongside me, with a dark hair girl as a rider on it. I immediately recognized her.

"Yuna, what are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Trying to track down Jack!" She replied. "I suppose you haven't heard my call, did you?"

"Well, Yusei told me, since I have a late shift tonight." I answered.

"Oh. Never mind then." The dark hair psychic said. "Anyway, there's something you should know, Aoi. A little after Jack escaped his cell, I found out that-"

Yuna stopped in mid-sentence and her face started to pale. I looked at her direction to see why, and then my eyes widened in horror. Out on the highway, there was Jack on his duel runner. Actually, there are two of them, as weird as it may seemed. Plus, one of them has Red Dragon Archfiend on the duel field, while the other have nothing. And the latter seem to be in pain.

We rode alongside of them. "Jack, what the hell is going on here?" I demanded.

The Jack with an empty field glanced at us, giving out a look of panic, "Aoi, Yuna, get the hell out of here! The damage in this duel is real!"

The other Jack laughed arrogantly at him. "Red Dragon Archfiend, end this duel! Absolute Power Force!"

The attack hit him, creating the fire barrier to prevent us from reaching them. Then, the flame subsided, leaving only one Jack on the track, and the other...let's just assumed that he fell into the ocean, because there was a giant crack on the glass railing.

"Jack! No!" I screamed as I drove over to see that he definitely fell into the ocean. "Jack...?"

"Hmph! You have no right to call me that!" I turned around and glared at the guy behind me. I could definitely tell that he's not the real Jack.

"You...You'll definitely pay for that!" I shouted.

"Whoever you are, we know you're definitely an imposter, and you're not going to get away with this!" Yuna yelled.

The imposter laughed arrogantly and glared at both of us with malicious, red eyes. The only thing that probably scared me now, was that Red Dragon Archfiend of his was glaring down at us with its yellow eyes. Then as time pass, everything went black.

Crystal's POV

"Ngh...!" I grunted as the burning pain spread across my chest.

"Crystal, what's wrong?" Yusei asked worriedly as he rode alongside me on the Combat Lane.

"I...I don't know." I answered. "I could've sworn I felt something bad had happened."

Then I saw Crow driving alongside us, joining the chase. "Have any of you seen Aoi?" He asked.

"No."

"Oh. I was hoping he's with you guys." Suddenly, Crow's face paled. "Oh god."

"What's wrong?"

Crow pointed to the direction he was looking at, and we gasped and pulled the brakes on our runners. Further down on the Combat Lane was Jack with his dragon above him. Not far to the left was a giant hole on the safety barrier, assuming that someone had crashed there.

"Jack! What the hell you have done?!" Yusei demanded.

Jack simply smirked, and raised his hand in the air. On cue, Red Dragon Archfiend created a fire barrier between us and him, and disappeared out of sight once the flame subsided. Once that happened, we gasped in horror to see a dark hair girl sprawled on the ground with her duel runner on top of her and...oh lord. Words cannot described her now. She looked horrible.

"YUNA!"

We mounted off our bikes and ran to her. Yusei and Crow have to lift her duel runner up, and I dragged her body out from underneath. I gently set her down and take a look at her injuries. Blood trickled from her temple, and there were two pieces of metal from her duel runner that pierced her. One above her shoulder, the other on her stomach. Her jacket and shirt were covered in blood. And there were dozens of cuts, bruises, and burns on her. Her face is really paled, and it seemed like she's trying to regain conscious.

"Yuna! Yuna hang in there!" I told her. Then, Yusei and Crow joined in, trying to help her. Suddenly, her eyes slowly opened and gazed at us.

"Ngh...Crystal...Crow...Yusei..." The Ice Barrier duelist groaned weakly. Her breathing is starting to weaken.

"No. Yuna, just hang in there! We'll get you to the hospital!" Crow told her. Suddenly, the dark hair girl gripped the ginger's arm tightly, causing him to wince a bit, though he managed through the pain. "Yuna?"

"Guys...listen..." She said between breathes. "A-Aoi...h-he fell...and Jack..." Then, she deliberately passed out in Crow's arms, leaving us in shock. I nearly lost my breath as I stared at the shattered barrier that leads me to what caused it.

Aoi have just fell from the combat lane and into the ocean.

Me: That's that. And before anyone can say anything, yes, I let the imposter Jack nearly slaughter Yuna and Aoi, and let the latter crashed and fell into the deep ocean.

Crystal: And you're going to have Aoi kept in the same place where the real Jack was until the imposter shows up.

Me: No. I have other plans for him.

Crystal: Wha-?

Me: R&R!
