As KryptoBug and Aquaformer made their way towards Detroit, Prowl was rousing and finding himself in Bee and Scraclash's quarters instead of his own. He was a bit confused as to why he was here and not in his usual quarters.
"Where am I? What am I doing here?" Prowl asked, rubbing the back of his head softly, as if trying to remember what had happened that had caused him to pass out.
"Aquaformer left you here" Bee stated. Prowl groaned a bit at that.
"Prowl, Aquaformer needed to head out and she didn't wish to leave you vulnerable and so she left you in our care until you came around" Scarclash answered in her scathing yet feminine voice.
"I am a ninja bot, why would she consider me vulnerable?" Prowl asked, having been out of it when Ratchet revealed the news.
"I don't think that is for me to say. You will have to ask her when she arrives back here" Scarclash responded. It wasn't the answer Prowl was looking for but it would suffice for now, until he realized that Aquaformer was still gone.
"Where did she go?" Prowl asked, hoping that they had an answer for him.
"She wouldn't tell us. She just said she felt called to go" Scarclash responded knowing only one bot could call Aquaformer and Aquaformer would go, but Aquaformer had made it clear not to tell anyone due to comms possibly being intercepted.
Prowl was about to ask another question when a familiar and a non-familiar voice were heard in the rec room just down the hall. Prowl, Bee, Scarclash and all the others ran to the rec room to see what had happened. And all except Scarclash were in for a shock, as there stood Aquaformer talking with a big triple changer bot that none of them except Scarclash and possibly Ratchet knew.
"I am Optimus Prime, who are you?" Optimus asked the strange triple changer, wanting to know.
"I am Kryptobug and I came here in search of safety. For you see, like Scarclash and Aquaformer, I am also being pursued by both Autobots and Decepticons" KB revealed, still holding his true secret in – that he was really two bots, one of which was a secret Portal for Primus.
Ratchet heard the name and knew of the bot. "and how are Kryptonight and Slugbug?" Ratchet asked, as if asking about two other bots. Kryptobug realized the medic knew of the secret but was helping the triple changer keep it for now.
"They are safe, for now" Kryptobug replied, not giving away his secret, but telling the medic what the medic needed to know. Ratchet nodded in understanding.
"Wow, I never knew there were Autobot triple changers" Bulkhead commented on the situation.
"Nor did I" Bee added, still studying the new bot.
"Kryptobug is an older bot, sparked long before Autobots were allowed to only have one mode at a time" Aquaformer explained. "Much like Scarclash and I are"
"I guess that makes sense" Sari stated, though her key was acting weird around the new bot. Deep inside KB, Slugbug knew why – as the key sensed his powerful spark. Slugbug just hoped the key wouldn't force his hand just yet. He didn't want to reveal that he really was two bots in one form. Sari just chalked it up as proof that this bot was Cybertronian, much to KB's relief.
"Does Ultra Magnus know you are here?" Jazz asked curiously, wanting to see if this bot really was just like the femmes, including leaving Cybertron without permission or assignment.
"No, I left Cybertron on my own after escaping from a trap that some Autobot had set for me" KB revealed, making a statement that shocked all those who heard it except Aquaformer and Scarclash.
"What Autobot in his right mind would set a trap for another Autobot?" Bee asked, puzzled about all of this, as it made no sense to him.
"One that doesn't like triple changers or seekers" KB revealed, as one of his forms was a seeker like form, thanks to Kryptonight who was sparked a seeker.
"What Autobot could that be?" Prowl wondered, not liking the sound of what he had been told.
"Sentinel Prime" Aquaformer answered quickly and sharply for her friend KB.
Jazz and the others were stunned. They had no idea why Sentinel would do such a thing. It seemed that Sentinel was not as good of an Autobot as he led others to believe. "Well, it is possible that since triple changers and seekers are usually Decepticons that Sentinel may have mistaken you" Optimus stated, trying to think how this all worked.
"Um, its hard to miss the three giant bright red Autobots symbols he has on him, sir, as Kryptobug has one on each wing and one on his chest" Scarclash answered scathingly, pointing out the obvious to all who were there.
Optimus nodded. "Well, you are safe to stay here, but be aware that there are Decepticons on this planet, including Megatron, leader of the Decepticons."
"I have no trouble holding my own against that tyrant" KB answered, sounding much like Aquaformer. Optimus nodded and welcomed the new bots, unsure about how all of this would play out once Ultra Magnus realized what was going on. Optimus could only hope for the best and expect the worst. He had no idea that soon, much more would be revealed.
