Finally! Sorry it took so long! I didn't know what to do next. Well, I hope everyone like what I came up with :)

Tauriel woke as a result of the rising sun burning through her eyelids. Evidently Legolas had not drawn the curtains when he left her last night. She squinted as she sat up, allowing her eyes to adjust. There was no point in trying to sleep again. Tauriel got up and washed her outfit she had worn last night, (not to mention slept in) and hung it out on the veranda to dry as she bathed and did her hair. After she had done so she stepped outside to look at the sundial. It was a little after eight.

Moments later Tauriel heard a knock on her door. She knew immediately that it was Legolas. He had a certain way of knocking that was impossible for her not to recognize. She opened the door to see her prince smiling as if he were the sun himself.

"Breakfast perhaps?" He asked. Again offering her his arm as he had the evening before.

"Certainly." Tauriel replied, taking his arm. As the walked down the hallway, Tauriel smiled a little to herself. Lord Elrond was right. Legolas had become quite the gentleman, what with taking her arm and such. It made her feel good, and a little funny inside, knowing that she was perhaps the reason for it.

They both entered the dining pavilion where the majority of the elves ate. Many elves whispered to on another as they took notice of Prince Legolas. Legolas laughed inside as he saw a good many elleths sigh sadly at the sight of him already accompanied by another maiden. And a perfect one at that. He thought.

The two got their breakfast and sat down to eat. Legolas, with a mouthful of food, said, "Lord Elrond has invited us to a council meeting later this after noon. He says...What?" He stopped short with a confused look seeing that Tauriel was trying to stifle a giggle. She let it out as he paused.

"Legolas before I can take anything you say seriously, you must learn to swallow before you speak! 'Tis a bad habit of yours!" She exclaimed. Legolas looked her in the eyes as he exaggerated his, very slow, chewing and swallowing. When he finally finished, he repeated what he had previously said. "Lord Elrond has invited us to a council meeting...Is this better?" He asked her approval. She nodded.

"Much better." She said. "Now what is this meeting about?"

"That question will be answered in full later. Something about a battle. and dwarves. I do hope it is not the same company of Thorin Oakenshield." Legolas explained as best he could. Tauriel caught herslef before she gasped at the mention of Kili. She prayed he was not in danger.

Legolas continued on. "It is to be a formal council. As I assume most are... Lord Elrond told me this morning that he has assigned us each a personal servant. We are to go with them after breakfast to get us proper clothes. Rather just clothes in general, given we only have whats on our backs."

Tauriel mused over this, and nodded slowly. She never before had had a personal servant. She almost dejected the thought of being able to order around another elf to do whatever petty thing she wished. She didn't believe she had the authority, though she would have to get used to it.

"Emaela, at your service, lady Tauriel." A pretty elleth bowed before Tauriel. The elleth had long, black hair. Braided in a beautiful, bot complicated fashion. She had fair skin. As well as bright green eyes, like Tauriel.

Tauriel smiled. "There is no need to bow before me mellon. Please, rise." Emaela did so, smiling as well. "We best get you some proper clothing. Let us go down to the seamstress.

After much dress shopping, lunch, and getting ready, Emaela had Tauriel looking perfect for the council meeting. Tauriel was dressed in a grey and white skirt. She had a fitting grey jacket with flowing sleeves. All of this was over grey leggings and boots. Emaela had taken two small sections of her hair and twisted them back. Smiple, but dreamy.

"My lady, you look beautiful. There is no question as to why the prince loves you so, if it is not too bold to say." Emaela said. Tauriel blushed and smiled. "No, not too bold. Everyone seems to know. There is no point in hiding it any longer." Tauriel replied.

"If I was loved by a prince, I would never hide such and honour."

"...No, I suppose you're right."

"Yes...Well, you don't want to be late. I suppose I should rush you off to the council." Emaela suggested. With that, Tauriel was out the door.

Legolas sat near Elrond during the meeting, being royalty and all. Tauriel sat with the other nobles of a bit lesser status. Much to Legolas' objection however, he has insisted that Tauriel sit with him, to no avail.

Elrond began the meeting.

"I thank you all for being here today. I have received a message that Thorin Oakenshield and his company of dwarves have entered the great kingdom of Erebor. Doing so, they have awakened Smaug the Terrible. Smaug has unleashed his fury on the small town of Esgaroth, or Laketown, as you know it. In the middle of the chaos a man called by the name of Bard the Bowman, defeated Smaug with a black arrow. Smaug now lies dead in the depths of the lake. But this is certainly not a time of celebration. Esgaroth is now in ruins, just as was Dale. The people of Laketown are homeless, hungry and scared. I have received word from the Elvenking of Mirkwood that he has sent his people to help these poor refugees." Elrond took a pause to let this sink in with to council. He continued momentarily.

"Other than this there is another concern. A greater concern that may change Middle Earth forever. A battle is brewing, my good friends, and not a small one at that. An army of Gundabad orcs, from the ruins of Dol Guldor, led by Azog the Defiler, are planning to attack the mountain. Azog has sworn to wipe out the line of Durin for ages. He desires the wealth of Erebor, as well as Thorin Oakenshields head." There were subtle whispers between elves as the last words were spoken. Once again, Lord Elrond spoke.

"Thranduil has sided with the men of Esgaroth. They too, want some of the gold that lies under the Lonely Mountain. It is said that Thorin promised the people of Laketown more gold than they could imagine. So that they could rebuild Esgaroth to its former now, he will give them none. A sickness has overcome him, much like his grandfather. Thranduil has also told me that he heard Thorin summoned his cousin Dain of the Iron Hills, and his army, to aid his kin in the battle."

I propose this. I do not want to lead an entire army into this mayhem. There are far too many sides to this battle as it is. I myself, however, will be journeying to the Lonely Mountain. I will be meeting the Lady Galadriel of Lothlorien on the way. I also wish a few others to...accompany me, if you will. Prince Legolas and Tauriel,"Legolas and Tauriel stood as their names were spoken. Elrond went on. "Will you join me, to aid the people of Esgaroth and our kin, the elves of Mirkwood?" He asked.

Legolas looked at Tauriel in question with a raised eyebrow. Tauriel gave him a small nod in return. Legolas held his head high and looked to Lord Elrond. "We will."

So how was it? Leave reviews, and as always, suggestions. :)
