Chapter 13: Month 6
With Ashlynn in the sixth month of her pregnancy, she and Hunter knew that they had to get ready, for labor day was now only a few months away. She and Hunter had signed up for a Lamaze class together, and Ashlynn was being sure to keep her body healthy.
The two also kept up on their homework, which was harder to do now, but they still got it done. Today was a busy day for the couple. They had school, Lamaze class, a doctor's appointment, Ashlynn's baby shower was today, and Blondie wanted to interview them for the Mirror Cast Show.
Luckily, the two didn't have that much homework, so that wasn't an issue. After school, the two went to their appointment with Dr. Goose. There she did the usual tests, and everything was in ship-shape.
"You feeling okay, Ashlynn?" she asked.
"Fine, Hunter and I just have a busy day today." answered Ashlynn.
"Well, just try not to stress yourself, it's bad for the baby."
"Don't worry, Dr. Goose, we've got this covered. Goodbye." assured Ashlynn, as she and Hunter left.
"Have a nice day." said Dr. Goose.
After their appointment, they went to their Lamaze class at the community center.
"All right, mommies to be, lie down on your mats, and daddies get beside them, and we'll get started." said the instructor.
Ashlynn and Hunter got into their positions, and did what the instructor said. They practiced breathing, how to relax through the pain, and how to handle it. After class they went back to the school, and they were just in time for their interview with Blondie.
They went to the studio, and sat down in the chairs.
"Whew, feels good to sit." said Ashlynn.
"You sure you're up for this?" asked Hunter, concerned.
"Don't worry, it's just an interview, it'll be quick, and then I can relax at my baby shower."
"Okay then."
Ashlynn looked down at her feet, she saw that her ankles were quite swollen, which made her groan a little. Then Blondie came in.
"Thanks for doing this interview, guys." she said.
"No problem." said Ashlynn.
"Ready with the camera, Humphrey?"
"All set." Humphrey answered.
Once they were rolling, Blondie started.
"Hello, everyone. Blondie Locks here, with the Mirror Cast Show, and here today I have Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman, a couple here at Ever After High who aren't only a royal and a rebel, but are the soon to be couple a baby." Blondie announced.
"So how does it feel you two, to know that you're going against your stories, just to stay together and have this baby?"
"Well, it may go against our stories, but as long as we're together, we have no fear." said Hunter.
Everyone who was watching the show awwed, (except Headmaster Grimm).
"So Ashlynn is it hard to be a pregnant teen in high school?"
"It is, but I have the support of my mom, boyfriend, and all my friends, and it'll all be worth it, when I see my baby." said Ashlynn, putting her hands on her stomach.
After the show, Hunter went to go do his homework with the guys, while Ashlynn went to her baby shower with the girls. When she walked into the student lounge, she saw that it was decorated with pink and blue balloons and streamers, and the girls were all there with presents, food, and cake.
"This place looks great." complimented Ashlynn.
"Glad you like it, I thought we could start off with a game." said Briar.
"What kind of game?" wondered Apple.
"I found it online, we wrap toilet paper around Ashlynn without breaking it." she explained.
The girls did the game, it was difficult with Ashlynn's now huge stomach, but eventually they got it. After the game, it was time for presents. From Apple she got diapers, Blondie gave her bottles and formula, Briar gave Ashlynn a baby blanket.
From Duchess Ashlynn got a bouncer, Holly gave her a high chair, and Lizzie got her baby bibs. Cupid got the baby booties, Cedar had bought pacifiers, Cerise gave her a portable playpen, and Ginger got her baby food.
Kitty got rattles for the baby, Maddie gave her a stuffed mouse, Poppy gave Ashlynn baby hair supplies, and Raven gave her baby shampoo, oil, powder, and gel.
"These are great gifts, I'm sure the baby will love them." said Ashlynn.
That night, Hunter and Ashlynn were just saying good night to each other, when Ashlynn felt something in her stomach.
"What is it?" asked Hunter.
"I think our baby has the hiccups." she answered.
They both put their hands on her stomach, and felt small thumps, like hiccups. The two smiled, and then kissed, they couldn't wait to see their baby.
