Author Note: I finished "A little bit of Hope" on Friday night before the new episode of Hawaii Five 0 and that means now that I need to find a new storyline for Wednesday's update or focus on the storylines that I have going now. Don't forget to check out my thoughts on the episode. I can't believe that we only have 11 more episodes until the season finale. I hope to get about 25 reviews and counting by the next chapter!

Chapter 13: Hana Lokomaika'i

Five days ago

Steve and Kono- bedroom

Steve woke up this morning not wanting to get out of bed. It had been a long time since he had his wife in bed with him. He just wanted to lay in bed and be with her all the time until he was ready with her. Steve's alarms went off and he reached over to turn them off. After he turns off, he rolls over towards her and wraps his arms around her.

"did I tell you how much I miss you?" Steve said as he felt her wrap her legs around his waist. They did not have to be into work today since it was their day off.

"I think that you told me that last night but I don't mind hearing it again." She responded to her husband with a small kiss. They started to make out before Steve's cell phone started to ring.

"So much for getting my first week back off." Kono said to her husband as she gave him his phone. She still did not understand his obsession with leaving the phone in bed. Steve answered the phone and sure enough that they had a case. Kono got out of bed and headed to get ready for work. Steve heard her turn on the shower and was happy that he could get off of the phone before she got done with her shower so he joined her and they ended up making love.

Chin and Leilani

Leilani had spent the night at Chin's house and they were just waking up when he heard his cell phone started to ring. He figure that they had a case.

"I have to go to work." Chin told his girlfriend.

"Alright. I will see you later." Leilani responded to her boyfriend.

Crime scene

Steve and Kono walked over to where Chin and Max were standing and knew that there was something bad that was going on.

"So what do we got?" Steve asked his friend.

"We got a murder victim." Max responded to him

"Alright let's find out what's going on." Steve responded to him.

Present day

Steve and Kono were sitting waiting to be question by IA. Steve could not believe that they were sitting there again and this time it was for Chin.

"I can't believe that this is happening again to us and to our family." Kono revealed to him as he took a hold of her hand.

"Babe, we can get through this together and so will Chin." Steve responded to her.

"Did you forget the rules?" Kono responded to her husband as he called her babe.

"I am sorry." He told her. He was not really sorry about calling her babe. He was not going to deny his marriage to IA or to anyone else.

"What's going to happen to Chin?" Kono responded to her husband.

"I don't know. It's up to them." Steve revealed to her as Chin came out of the room really mad.

Four days ago

Steve, Chin and Kono were walking into the headquarters not seeing Danny again. They just needed to focus on the case and get it done. They figure out who the victim was and they were starting to put the pieces together that it might involved Chin's brother-in-law.

"Chin, we need to talk about something." Steve told him. He knew that he might have to talk his wife's cousin off of the case that was going to be hard since both Danny and Catherine are gone.

"What about?" Chin asked his boss. He knew that Steve needed to do what's best for their team and the investigation.

"I am afraid that I am going to have to asked you to step aside. You are too close to this case." Steve informed him.

"Steve I can handle it." Chin responded to him as Kono came into the room with leads about the wife and son.

Present day

Steve was being question by IA about Chin's arrest of his brother-in-law. Steve did not think that Chin would take the money at all.

"So commander, we are back this time with your wife's cousin." The man said to him.

"Leave her out of it." Steve responded to him. "You want to ask me questions about Chin then go ahead but you leave my wife out of this."

"Alright do you think that he would have taken the money?" The man asked him.

"No. I don't think he would but if he would have then I would have been the first one to take him in." Steve informed him.

"Alright." The man said to him.

Outside of the room

Steve and Kono were sitting there after having a fight about this with Chin. Kono wanted to protected her cousin and Steve knew that it could cost him his team and he did not want to risk that at all.

"We just need to tell the truth. Chin did what he was trained to do. The man killed his father." Steve reminded his wife.

"Don't talk to me right now." She said as she saw her cousin walked out of the room and headed outside. Steve was called back again and she decided to go find her cousin.

Chin and Kono- Beach

Chin did not heard his cousin coming down to him. He turned around to find her standing there. He was surprised that she was there and not waiting for Steve to be done.

"Chin, are you okay?" She asked her cousin.

"Yeah I am fine." Chin said to her. "Where's Steve?"

"He's being questioned right now. He is going to text me when he is done." Kono revealed to him. "I can't believe that Maila's brother killed your dad."

"I should have figured it out. I mean that he stole the car within the area of my dad's murder scene." Chin responded to her as he heard her phone go off.

"Steve's done." She said as she pulled out her phone and looked at it.

"Go be with your husband since I need to go to Leilani and tell her what's going on." Chin responded to his cousin.

"Alright I will see you later." Kono said to her cousin as she headed towards her car and drove home.

McGarrett's house

Steve beat his wife home and waited for her to come home. He sat down outside in the backyard. He heard her coming out to the backyard. She wrapped her arms around him.

"Hey how did it go?" Kono asked him.

"Chin's still part of five 0." Steve responded to her.

"That's good." She responded to him as he gave her hand a small kiss.

"I love you." Steve revealed to his wife as he had her let go of his neck so he could stand up. They started kissing and then head up to their room and made love.

Leilani's house

She was surprised that to find her boyfriend pulling into her driveway. She opened the front door smiling as he walked up to her.

"Hey what's going on?" Leilani asked her boyfriend.

"I have some news about something about my father's case." Chin told her.

"What is it?" she asked him.

"I found out who killed my father." Chin responded to her.

"Who was it?" She asked him.

"My deceased wife's brother." Chin revealed as she gave him a hug.

Author's response to the show: I must say that I am happy that Catherine was not in this episode. I know that there are many of you that love McRoll together but I am not one of them. Where was Danny in this episode? It seems like we are only getting once every two episode. I can't believe that Chin's brother-in-law killed his father and then attend his funeral.
