"Um guys? Shouldn't Maya be back by now?" Odd asked.

They were all still in the same spot there were in when they rescued William. No monsters had come by. No sign of an activated tower. Nothing. Everything was quiet as can be on Lyoko. Which also meant there was a problem.

"How long has it been?" Yumi asked.

"About forty minutes," Ulrich muttered as he slammed his katana in to a rock. He was practicing killed monsters while they waited.

"Yeah we'll trust Ulrich to tell us something that includes math," Odd joked and everyone laughed. Except for Ulrich.

"Aw come on lighten up good buddy," Odd said with a small smile that pretty much said 'please forgive me cause you're my best friend and I hate it when you give me that look.'

"It's been ALMOST forty minutes," Jeremy's voice came through.

"Shouldn't we go look for her," Aelita wondered out loud.

"Nah Maya can handle herself," William said from the lab.

Jeremy sighed and shook his head at William.

"What?" He asked. He could pretty much tel the other on Lyoko did the same thing at him, which they did. "What?" He asked again.

Aelita sighed, of course, she didn't know what her cousin was capable of. She hasn't even hung out with her cousin in such a long time.

"Aelita?" Yumi asked.

"You okay princess?" Odd asked

Aelita smiled and looked at them, "Yeah, sorry. William's right. I bet Maya can do this with no problems along the way.

"Well I didn't say she'd have no problems..."

"William be quiet," Ulrich said.

"Yeah. Heck, I bet Maya has everything under control," Odd smiled.

She didn't have everything under control.

Maya was too busy screaming as the wave hit her to notice what was going on. Her hub was being pushed back and even hit a few of those underwater buildings along the way. Her hub lost energy with each building it hit. She didn't know how long she was washed away but after awhile it all stopped. Her hub was still flipping in the Digital Sea. She centered herself in her seat and grabbed her wheel and stomped on the brakes and turned left.

Her hub wobbled a little bit but was stable in a few seconds. She pushed a button and a virtual 3D map came up; it showed where her hub was and where she SHOULD be.

"Okay, so just about-" A konger hit the end of her hub making her spin fumbled with her controls till she was able to aim at the monster but it dodged the missal.

She ALMOST hit a button that would let her communicate with Jeremy. Nah. I should show them that I could do this WITHOUT their help.

She steadied her hub and drove after the konger. Her hub locked on to the monster. Aim, fire!

The monster exploded.

Maya's smile was victorious; until she saw she was following the monster away from where she was supposed to be going. Also that there was a bunch of monsters that were now starring at her.

"Maybe if I slowly drive away, they won't notice.." she muttered quietly. But when she slowly backed her hub up just an inch, a konger hissed at her and then the others began to hiss at her too. Her eyes widened and she spun her hub around and drove away as fast as possible screaming, "AHHHHHH!" The kongers hissed and chased after her. Some even came up to her and hit at her hub.

As she screamed she turned on her map. Okay, so I'm going in the right direction..

She continued to scream cause it was the only thing she could do other than drive. She couldn't even shot them cause they were either too close that the impact of the explosion it made when the missal hits them, would hurt her hub too; or too far that they could dodge it easily. So she could only drive away and hope that they didn't-

"AHHHH!" Of course, they shoot her. Thankfully the lasers would only bounce on the top part of the hub and not the tire so she didn't loose as much power. She kept her eye on the virtual 3D map; she was getting closer and closer to where the others were. She could almost see just the the surface of the water and and and and

"GUYS I'M FREAKING OUT NOW!" Odd screamed. It had been almost an hour since she has been gone. Odd was walking back and forth with Aelita as they bit their finger nails. Well Aelita bit her finger nails; Odd bit his claws.

"Yeah, I'm kinda worried too," Yumi admitted.

"Well what do you want us to do?" Ulrich sighed, "Go diving in the Digital Sea and hoping we find her just floating about in there? She'll be back soon."

"Well Ulrich what do you want to do?" Yumi asked with somewhat of an attitude, "Do you really think she'll just hop out the water and-"

That's exactly what happened. Her hub landed with a thud on the surface of the sector and she pushed a button and the top glass part of the hub came down.

"Well yea actually but I'd say she 'jumped' rather than 'hop'" Ulrich smiled.

Odd and Aelita ran and helped her out of the hub, "Maya what happened?" Aelita asked.

Maya took a deep breath and looked up at them and smiled, "I- I know where he is."
