Chapter 13 – The Valve Suppressor
"I cannot believe this could happen on such a great night" thought Harry as he and his family hurried home.
"Harry you're sure you're okay? His mother asked worriedly
"Yes of course it was probably a heat stroke or something" Harry replied desperately trying not to show signs of pain anywhere across his face.
"Well…..ok" his mother replied still not entirely convinced

"Now Harry you're sure you're fine"? Asked his mother still very worried for her son's well being.
"Of course mum like I said it was only heatstroke all I need is a nights rest and I'll be good as new ok? As he quickly bounded for the stirs desperate to escape since the pain coursing through his body was nigh unbearable
"Ok if you're sure" said lily
"Mum is Harry going to be okay?" asked Leon with Sakura, Rosa, Lily and Sylvia all watching Harry almost limp up the stairs, while Harry was silently thanking god that Lily and James hadn't noticed him.
"yes kids don't worry about you're brother he'll be fine as long as he gets his rest, so no going into his room at night to bother him ok"? Said James while throwing accusing glances at Rosa and Lily who were acting as innocent as possible while still worried for their brother.

Harry immediately after setting up various sound based charms around his room let out an unearthly wail of pain.
"Ok I have to pull myself together" Harry half mumbled incoherently as the pain temporarily subsided
"Ok the magic suppressor is at its limit which means I've been using little amounts of magic and the excess magic has built up so how do I get rid of such a huge amount of magic without anyone being alerted"? Contemplated Harry
"Maybe a potion? No it would take to long and it isn't a guarantee"
"The only method I can think of that can use up enough magic is an extremely powerful patronus but were talking about one that could light up a freaking city and that will definitely alert someone"
"Wait hold on…." Harry said remembering an old conversation
Flashback
"Now that you've learned about magical suppressors I'm now going to teach you about…"
"Hold on sir" Harry interrupted
"Yes Harry" said Nicholas slightly annoyed at being cut off
"I've been thinking…….. What if you're magical suppressor reaches its limit"? Questioned Harry
"Well that's a good question Harry um… in that particular situation you would have three choices"
"One you can try to hold in the raw power and most likely explode" Harry visibly flinched.
"Two you can just go out to an area and let out you're energy but you risk getting caught by the ministry"
"Or three reconfigure the suppressor to act as a valve" Harry did not bother pretending to understand what his teacher just said
"I see you're confused about the latter choice, you see the valve reconfiguration is very complicated but very worth the trouble, it takes you're excess magic and compresses it allowing for more magic to take its place, the compressed magic then is carefully filtered into you're body being used for things such as immunity and stamina things like that.
"I see…" Harry said processing the new information
Flashback end
"OK that could work but the downside is will I have enough time"? Thought Harry
"Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained" Harry said as he began the process of valve configuration.

The next day
"He's been up there forever James should we check on him?" asked Lily while pacing nervously back and fourth through the kitchen
"We'll give him a minute if he isn't here then were going up" replied James
"Did Leon or any of the other kids hear anything from him?"
"No their still upstairs getting ready" said James
'So what's for breakfast" said Harry loudly as he came down the stairs
"Harry!" both his parents shouted simultaneously unknowingly causing their son to fall backwards from the sudden noise
"What?" Harry said acting oblivious to the night before
"You're okay?" Lily said
"Yeah as I said it was just heatstroke" Harry said desperately trying to look and sound convincing.
"You're sure?" his mother said while attempting to take his temperature "Lily stop you're embarrassing him, look at Harry he looks better than ever".
And to Harry's surprise they began to look at him very carefully. "What?" Harry said trying not to blush.
"Harry why are you a little taller?" James inquired
"Puberty?" Harry said
"And last night you looked like you were dying now you look completely healthy" said Lily
"Um a good night's sleep?" Harry said lying through his teeth
"Hmmmmm okay" Lily said with a suspicious voice "I'm just glad you're okay Harry you really had all of us worried"
"Ok that's all done with" James said as the rest of the kids stampeded down the stairs
Harry barley got to say good morning before Rosa viciously tackled him to the ground talking at the speed of light about how worried she was. After that Harry spent the better part of the morning being berated by his sisters, over him worrying them while his brother was openly laughing at his situation.
Later Sirius and his family came by to inquire what happened the previous night. Harry did his best to mention nothing of the fact that he and Yuna were announced by mistake to be engaged, Of course all that went out the window as Sirius and James sat at the table making plans for the marriage between Harry and Yuna.
