Chapter 13
Ok so I decided to just go head and do the next chapter. Since, I don't want to get the writter's disease(writter's block) what's inspiring me to type so much you ask? My significant other sent me a video on my facebook account for League of Legends, a computer game, that I badly want to try. Anyhow the video was of a new character I think? Called Jinx. She kick major ass! And reminds me sooo much of Mariko Miko in her younger stages. ONWARD TO THE BATTLE FIELD!
"What tripped the alarm?" Tony asked looking up and around, waiting for more guards. Robin glared and dug into his utility belt, and pulled out his collapsible boe staff.
"My guess, your head master Miko." He said as guards poured into the hall they were in. Tony rolled his eyes but didn't say anything as they began fighting off the guards trying to make their way towards an exit. They then took off searching for Nightwing, and with any luck Mariko and Misato.

"Electrified! This is so exciting!" Misato squealed sparking electricity between her hands as she knocked back a whole slew of guards. Nightwing also took down his fair share.
"This is serious, we need to get out of here and find Mariko." He said kicking one guard and knocking two others into each other. Misato pouted.
"But this is fun!" she moaned, Nightwing glared and she let out a huff, "Fine! Hey look Tony nii-chan!"
Nightwing looked back to see Robin and Tony running toward them a bunch of guards close on their tail. Nightwing scowled, this was turning into a real cluster-cuss. A sudden tug on his costume broke him from his thoughts. He looked down and saw Misato with a smile.
"I hope you have rubber soled shoes." She said, Nightwing went to question when suddenly Misato's body lit up like a pink light bulb and pink sparks flew everywhere, hitting anything metal and electrifying the guards around them. When the light dimmed Misato groaned, falling over as Tony and Robin came up to them.
"What the hell was that?" Robin asked, as Tony picked Misato off the ground and holding her in his arms.
"Misato calls it Spark happy. Basically she used up all the energy she had in her to set off an electrical explosion." He explained, "She'll be out for a bit."
"Why weren't you effected by it?" Nightwing asked, Tony help up his robotic arm.
"Before Livewire came into the picture I handled Misato's care, Mariko had to make use of plastic prosthetics and rubber coated wiring." He explained, "Lemme tell you that was a bitch to get used to."
"Where's Mariko?" Robin asked, ready to growl at her for setting off the alarm, and just about ruining the mission.
"Right here." Mariko said standing on the other side of all the incapacitated guards. Behind her about a dozen teens stood scared and confused. Mariko stood her hands on her hips, "Also I want the record to show, that I was NOT responsible for the sudden alarm."
"Then who was?" Nightwing asked. Mariko shrugged.
"Hell if I know. If I had to guess though, I'd say that this place has more camera's than a reality show." She said. Nightwing and Robin gave Mariko a disbelieving look. "What? Have you see the amount of camera angles they have for reality shows? It's ridiculous!"
"U-uhm, not that we question you're motives and all that," A boy from Mariko's crowd mumbled, "But can we get out of here?"
"RIGHT!" Mariko shouted, "M'gaan and the others are in the bioship right?"
"Yes."
"Good. I looked all over the ship, these kids and the ones we were with before were the only ones on this ship." She said, "I suggest we find a way to contact M'gaan and oh boy of steal, and get them to bring up the bioship…that word is starting to sound weird now. Hee."
"Is she ok?" Robin asked.
"I'm FINE!" She hissed, "Just a bit irked, these bastards don't have my girls anymore."
"They must have been taken to the Light's new partner then." Nightwing said, Mariko pursed her lips together.
"Then we have no reason to stay here." She said, "So we should probably leave within the next five, maybe ten minutes. Am I right? Yeah, let's go."
Mariko then motioned for the group of teens to follow as she ran off grabbing Tony by the shirt collar and dragging him along. Robin scowled and looked to Nightwing.
"Why is she in such a rush to get off this ship?" he asked, then a girl with a butterfly clip in her pink and blond hair* walked up to the duo.
"U-uhm, that woman, she may be in a hurry because a bunch of timers she set off?" She said in a soft voice, Robin and Nightwing scowled as the girl then ran off to follow the others.
"Timers? As in bombs?!" Robin shouted, Nightwing sighed and ran after Mariko and the others, Robin not far behind him. When they finally caught up to Mariko she had—somehow—found her way to the comunications room—which was pretty much abandoned since all guards had come after them before hand and were now in an unconscious state thanks to Misato.
"Mariko, keep everyone calm, I'm gonna see if I can contact the Bio-ship." She said, Tony nodded and turned to the young teens. Meanwhile Mariko began tinkering with the controls in the communications room, when Nightwing walked up.
"Mariko, did you set up explosives in the ship?" He asked. Mariko at first didn't acknowledge the masked hero, then after a short pause she looked up.
"Hm?" was all she responded with as if she hadn't heard him in the first place.
"Timers? Mariko, are you insa—this is stupid, there are other people on this ship." Nightwing said as Mariko placed a headset on her head. Mariko shrugged.
"Those people knew the risks when they joined The Light." She said trying to find a channel to contact M'gaan and the others, "Anyway, in case you've forgotten, I don't care about anyone who works under the light."
"Mariko—"
"Look, instead of chewing me out about something else I've done that you consider crazy, why don't you help me contact M'gaan and the others." She said, handing him another headset, which Nightwing reluctantly took. Mariko then smirked, "Honestly I don't see why you're shocked by anything I do at this point. You know I'm not right in the head. Why do you even bother?"
"Miko-miko to Miss Martian, can you hear me?" she said into the headset.
'Mariko?...how are you…never mind. Yes.' M'gaan's voice said, 'Have you found them?...your girls…'
"That'd be a no." Nightwing said, "They've been moved, probably to the Light's new partner. We're going to start evacuation now, be ready with the bio-ship in less than ten."
"Better make that five." Mariko mumbled to Nightwing. He glared down at her to which she responded with a smirk and a shrug, "It's only an estimate time. It's better to get here an hour early, then a second too late."
Nightwing said nothing, and simply relayed Mariko's time limit to M'gaan. M'gaan answered with a simple 'can do,' and the line went dead. Nightwing then looked to Mariko who was at this pointed removing the contact that made her purple eye blue. She then looked up at him with a smirk as she tossed away the plastic film.
"What? Not much point in keeping it in now. Besides my eye was drying out." She said.
"That's not why I'm glaring." He grumbled.
"Oh yeah the whole explosive thing. Hey Savage—by now—already knows I'm alive and am out to get him. Might as well show up with a bang." She said. Nightwing let out a growl of frustration and grabbed Mariko by the arm.
"You…are insufferable." He grumbled dragging her out of the room.
"Aww, but you know you love me." She cooed as she shuffled out with everyone else toward the docking bay of the ship where the Bio-ship should be waiting.
'Is everyone online?' M'gaan's voice said in everyone—excluding the captives—heads. Mariko blinked.
"Woaw, that's a feeling I nearly forgotten about." She said aloud, 'weird having you back in my head.'
'If the Link is up you must be here. Right?' Nightwing asked, instead of mental responding the hatch to the docking bay opened up, with Miss Martian standing with Conner.
"Right." The green skinned woman said.
"Alright everybody, this way to freedom!" Mariko shouted with a toothy grin, soon all the teens filed onto the Bio-ship, until the all that was left was Mariko, Tony—with Misato—and Nightwing.
"That everyone?" Mariko asked, looking to Tony who nodded, still holding Misato who was still asleep. "Good, now we can…Ho boy…"
"What?" Nightwing asked, then looked back to see Kaldur's second in command—the masked woman—standing with three guards behind her.
"Stop right there!" She shouted. Nightwing froze and looked Mariko who had 'that look' in her eyes. This wasn't going to end well. Mariko had already made it clear that she had no problem ending anyone's life who worked with the light, and since she had no idea about Kaldur and Artemis this wasn't going to end well, at all.
"Aww how nice, Aqualad sent his lapdog after us." Mariko taunted, "As much as we'd love to stay and chat with you, I'm afraid we have to go. Have fun with my little present!"
"If you're talking about the bombs you planted I already found those." Tigress said holding up the timer. Mariko's eye ticked.
"Mariko…" nightwing said in a warning tone. Mariko gave Tigress a deadpan look as she pulled out and old Japanese styled dagger. Tigress readied herself.
"Show of hands, who can see in the dark?" Mariko hissed, stabbing the breaker box and turning off the power and making the room go pitch black.
'M'gaan, get the civilians out of here.' Nightwing shouted mentally.
'What about you guys?' M'gaan asked. Nightwing tried his best to see through the dark but to no avail.
'just go! We'll find a way back.' He said, then heard a zap of electricity—what he assumed was Mariko with her taser. Next he heard the hatch close and M'gaan and the others were gone from his mind.
"Mariko!" Shouted Nightwing then suddenly felt a zap of electricity, and soon he began to lose consciousness.

Nightwing groaned, he was barely able to open his eyes, but he was able to hear voices. The voices of Mariko, she was arguing with someone.
"Oh sure, now ya tell me! I swear you are no help at all!" she hissed as Nightwing began to open his eyes. His vision was blurred at first, so much that at first he thought he saw a devil standing in front of Mariko as she was chained to the wall across from him. It was then that he realized that he too was held against the wall.
"Oh so you're finally coming to eh?" Mariko's voice said as Nightwing opened his eyes and his vision was clearer. He then noticed whatever was standing in front of Mariko was now gone. He shook his head and glared.
"What?" She asked.
"Where are we?" Nightwing groaned.
"Pfff, on some ship headed toward the Savage's new partner." She said, Nightwing glared.
"Great, now how are we supposed to save your kids if we end up being needed saving ourselves." He hissed. Mariko cocked her head to the side and pursed her lips.
"What are you talking about? This is all a part of the plan." She said with a grin.
"What plan?"
"The one I just made up." She said, then noted Nightwing's scowl, "I'm kidding, sheesh take a joke. I came up with it when I saw Tigress, stupid bitch. After she took out the bombs I thought of a new way for Savage to know I'm on his tail."
"What are you after, your girls or Savage?" Nightwing hissed, Mariko pouted and began to fidget against her bonds.
"Can't a gal have both?" She asked, then growled, "Tony, you think you can stop lazin about and get us out of here?"
Nightwing looked over and saw Tony who was silently watching the two argue. He gave Nightwing a sour look but said nothing to him. He then looked to Mariko.
"Yes ma'am. Sorry." He said, then without much effort at all broke the metal that kept him attached to the wall. He then stood and walked to Mariko ripping the metal from the wall and freeing her. Once free Mariko rubbed her wrists.
"Talk about Kinky, I swear when I get my hands on kladur, he's going to pay for all the shit he's done." She hissed as Tony then released Nightwing—with a little bit more force. Nightwing looked to Tony who shrugged but said nothing, he then looked to Mariko. He had to tell her the truth otherwise, Mariko might end up killing both kaldur and Artemis.
"Listen, Mariko…there's something I need to tell you…"
Ugh! I'm sick sick sick of short chapters! anyhow (*) any Bronies out there? Cause I just referenced My Little Pony. Fluttershy. That's all I have to say this time. See ya later armadillos—unless I see you first hahaha! REVIEW!
