Confusion
Summary: Keyara Fujioka, a young assassin was assigned to marry Kyouya Ootori, but before marriage she was instructed by Yoshio Ootori to have eye surgery. She has met many of the Ootori traveling workers and has fought with two of their top police force officers, Huni and mori. Keyara has recently undergone surgery, but her left eye was hurt in the process. The surgeon stated it was "normal". Unknown to Keyara, the surgeon received a large sum of cash from Akito Ootori.
Keyara sat in the limo twiddling her thumbs, agitated and uncomfortable. Not only did Kyouya not arrive to get her, but she suffered being alone with that cursed doctor. Kami sama my eye burns.
The door opened and Akito stepped in. "I sure do hope you'll feel a lot better soon."
She turned from him and mentally sighed. They arrived at the hotel and he guided her to her room.
She sat at the edge of the bed and decided to nap while she recovered.
A few hours later she awoke to her cell wedged in her pocket. She gently removed the dark sunglasses and looked at the caller ID. 'Unknown Number' scrawled across the screen. She slid The Answer button and held it to her ear. "Hello?"
"Keyara-chan!" a young girl gushed from miles away.
Keyara immediately recognized her sister's calming, reassuring voice. "Konnichiwa Haruhi-chan."
It's been so long since I last chatted with her. I am her half sister after all. Her mom Kotoko died a year before mine and the only thing we have in common is Ryoji, or his stage name Ranka. Anyway, around the time Haruhi was conceived I was too. Only because my parents were utterly drunk, Ryoji felt terrible afterwards. After Kotoko's death was when he actually found out that I even existed. He had been unfaithful to his wife but I was also his problem. As I said before, he was working in the States when he rescued me. He brought me to Japan and Haruhi easily welcomed me as her sister. The only time I really don't remember was the trip to Japan and the early years with Haruhi. I just know we mourned our mothers' deaths together instead of alone.
"Dad told me that the Ootori's decided you would undergo eye surgery."
"Well yeah." Keyara sighed and shut her eyes.
Haruhi thought it best to change the subject, "How's your fiancée?"
"Cold. Slightly humorous." She paused. "'Ya know even though Dad trained you to block your emotions, you openly declare them."
Haruhi chuckled lightly, "I know. Okaa-san was more open than I am. I only state the obvious." she took a deep breath, "When are you coming back home?"
Keyara smiled. "I'm not sure."
The room door clicked at that moment and Kyouya looked around the corner to see Keyara's bandaged eye. He looked mildly surprised. She leaned into her phone, "Call me tomorrow. Ja ne." She hung up the phone.
He slowly inched closer to her, one foot at a time. He stopped directly in front of her and bent down a bit and placed his right hand on her cheek.
She stiffened and looked up at him. "Whaa- what are you doing?" she stammered.
He made a small invisible circle with his thumb, "Why is only one bandaged?" confusion swirled in his eyes replacing the shock.
"The doctor hurt the left more than my right, he said it was normal." she shrugged.
He dropped his hand and ran it through his hair. "Tch. Careless bastard." he looked back at her, "Once your recovery has progressed we will be going back to Japan."
She nodded.
