Chapter 13 Cilla P.O.V

It was decided that we would stay here for 3 weeks, not just for me, but to wait for the right moon to be here. It's already been a week, and we have had a blast.

Us girls are causing a huge problem for the elves, hehe, and Thorin and everyone else is just laughing at it. Although, Gandalf and Elrond are a bit miffed about it, but oh well. Kili and I have become quite close as well. What the hell did I do to deserve him?

I decided to wake up early this morning, well, my body did. To damn early for my taste. Grrr.

I was walking in the gardens actually. No, not the one with the fountain the dwarves decided to bath in. Though, that was hilarious. Gotta admit though, Kili was built. Mmmmm. Wait, no, bad Cilla. Stop.

Ooo, look, bench by the roses. Red roses. And White Roses. I decided to go sit on the bench, looking up as I saw the girls' walking towards me, faces tired. Looks like I'm not the only early riser this morning.

I raised my brows. "Ladies, why the hell are we up this damn early?"

They shrugged. None of us noticed the dwarves watching protectively from the balcony above.

"You know Cilla, you've become awfully close to Kili." Blackie said with a smirk.

I raised my brow. "You know Blackie, you've become awfully close to Fili."

"You know ladies, I've become awfully close to Nili." Molly pipes in with a grin.

"You know ladies, this is becoming awfully annoying." Emily said. We all cracked up laughing.

"No, but seriously." Blackie said. "I thought you weren't gonna let yourself become close to him just incase Tauriel," she said with a...snarl?, "stole him from you."

I shrugged. "One, who can resist that face? Aside from the older Dwarves." The nodded in agreement. "Two, I don't know I just...I'm tired. I'm tired of resisting something I really want. I'm tired of being lonely, of not trusting anyone but you guys. He's tried real hard, ever since we met them. He never gave up, even when I broke my promise." I looked down in shame. "And I have never broken a promise before that. After all I've put him through, he still cares for me. He...I don't know. I know that I've never felt this way before, but I'm scared. I know what he says, about Tauriel not being able to steal him, but he's never seen her before. I've survived losing a guy I thought that I loved and vice versa, but I don't think I would survive this if he left me for her. And I don't want him with me out of pity either. I always hated pity. I just...I can't lose this. This is why I didn't want to start anything with him in the first place. All the insecurities, the fear. I'm honestly scared guys. This is uncharted territory for me, but I can't help but explore it. I can't help but want to trust him, to care for him. I think we all know I'm to scared to put this into words." I winced and they all nodded, all of us still unaware of the Dwarves overhead, smiling a bit at my confession.

"But, I also gave in to… feel again. Kili, makes me feel warm. Happy. Safe. I haven't felt that in so long. Not since...well, I can't remember. He makes me feel like a young girl again. I mean, I might be physically, but not mentally. I can't remember the last time I felt relaxed and happy at the same time."

The girls were smiling and Molly spoke. "Sounds like you're in love."

I looked at her in shock and didn't speak a word.

"...tell me, is that what this is? Cause if so, it terrifies me." I said as I put my head down.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked to see Emily kneeling down next to me.

"That is definitely what this is. I've never seen you like this before. I can promise you that he feels the same way. The way you two look at each other…it's like a rose blooming in June."

I rolled my eyes. "Cheesy much?" and we all laughed.

"Hey Cilla, what's that one Scottish song. About love like a red, red rose?"

I smiled. "You just want me to sing it." They laughed at nodded.

I took a deep breath and started the slow, sweet Scottish love song.

My Love is like a Red Red Rose

Oh, my love is like a red, red rose

That's newly sprung in June

Oh, my love is like a melody

That's sweetly played in tune

As fair art thou, my bonnie lad,

So deep in love am I

And I will love thee still, my dear,

Till all the seas run dry.

Till all the seas run dry, my dear,

Till all the seas run dry

And I will love thee still, my dear,

Till all the seas run dry.

'Til all the seas run dry my dear

And the rocks melt with the sun

And I will love thee still, my dear

While the sands of life shall run

But fare thee well, my only love

Oh, fare thee well awhile

And I will come again, my love

Tho' 't were ten thousand mile

Tho' 't were ten thousand mile, my love

As I finished, I felt an intense stare so I looked around, and finally up and saw the whole company watching us. But most importantly, Kili, watching us. Well, me, actually. This caused me to blush and look down. What is wrong with me? I've never blushed before I met Kili. Oh well, I guess that's what love does to a person.

Wait...what did I just think/say?
