Kylie POV
I fell asleep, not remembering when, but when I awake, Ari is there again.
"Hey, we just wanna see how you'er doing...C'mon out, you'll be safe..." He smiled softly, and I crawled slowly to him.
He gently picked me up, holding me close...As if protecting me...He closed my cage, taking me out of the room filled with the cages. Once we're out of that room, I feel a rush of freedom and relief, sighing. He takes me through a series of hallways, never putting me down, like I was...What was the word? Special...Yea, that was the word I needed...
I had the thought that maybe I wasn't a pawn, maybe he cared for me. Somewhere deep down in his frozen heart, he cared for me...I smiled a bit, relaxing in his arms. He took me to an area, "Don't worry, we're just going to do some training, alright?" He said to me, setting me down. I nodded, looking around. It looked like an area with a huge glass dome around it, showing the outside world. We did some fighting techniques, and then a scientists came over to talk to Ari. "Uh, Kylie, I'll be right back," he said, going over to the side.
Ari POV
"Sir, would you like to do the test now?" Harry, a scientist, asked me.
I thought about it, mulling it over in my head, "Sure..." I nodded.
Harry nodded, going to an area, starting the test. When I looked at Kylie, her eyes were blank, glazed over, and she showed the position of a soldier. If the test worked, she'd follow our orders.
"Ten push-ups, now," I said.
She nodded roboticly, getting down, she did what I ordered. I didn't like seeing her like this...But, hey, until she was for sure on our side, what other choice do I have...?
Kylie POV
I didn't know what just happened, I just stood there, dazed, "What just happened?" I asked, my speech coming out slurred.
"I don't know," Ari shrugged, coming closer to me, "Kylie...Can I trust you?" He asked, his eyes showing some kind of emotion, showing he let his guard down.
I thought about that, weighing options, "Ari...Yes, you can trust me." I answered.
He smiled, "So, you're on our side, right?"
I nodded, "Of course I am..."
Cliffhanger! :D Did you like?! Review!
