Mira always had the most radiant smile. She always did.
Now, sniffing slightly, careful not to let her tears leak out, she called Elfman.
"Hey Mira!"
"Hey, you have to come over."
"What? What happened."
"Just come, I'll send you the address."
"Oh okay, sure, see you there."
She hanged up and suddenly, her tears found a way to escape her eyes. Soon, she was sobbing, on the floor, in a puddle of white hair.
A nurse had walked in to check on her, and gasped, running to get the doctor.
The doctor rushed in, checking on her pulse, she was still breathing.
The nurse shook her head, and held her head high, gently lifted Mira up and gave her a sad smile.
"I'm sorry about her. But she'll make it."
Mira trained her eyes down, not knowing what to say.
The nurse left.
Elfman came rushing in, panting slightly, and looked up to see a red-eyed Mira.
"Why here? Where's Lisanna?"
Mira stood up, looking small and fragile, and pointed her nose to the room Lisanna was in.
"What? Why is she in there?"
Mira, without a word, brushed past him and headed to the washroom to wash her face, with her head hung low.
She was only a few steps away when Elfman heard a loud thump with the sound of a distressed wail and the pitter patter of the nurses feet.
It was for the best.
That's what it always was.
Fate, we call it.
**Gray Fullbuster**
Trembling slightly under the police's gaze, Gray stood rooted to the spot. Not prepared for what was going to happen next.
The policeman shook his head and nodded in a gesture of hello, "Are you the son of Ur?"
Gray nodded slowly, tense and suspicious.
"I'm sorry to say, but she's... She's dead."
Gray snapped up, eyes wide as saucers, but shook his head and chuckled bitterly.
"Is this some sort of prank, Lyon and Natsu?"
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Did Natsu and Lyon hire you? Don't lie, they're hiding behind that bush, aren't they?"
Roughly shoving aside the policeman, he walked quickly to the bush, and fumbled through it.
There was no sign of them.
His body turned limp, his heart beat slowing down, he felt like his heart got ripped out.
First Erza, now his own mother.
Is he an orphan now?
The policeman stood still, having seen those emotional outbursts before and asked, "Do you want to see her one last time?"
"No."
Gray shook his head fiercely, "What's there to see? Probably just blood and bones popping out."
"It wasn't a car crash, it was a heart attack."
Gray whipped his head up, and narrowed his eyes.
"Heart attack?"
"Yes."
"She never told me, she had... she had..."
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry won't bring her back!" Gray snarled, and felt his body go limp, as he collapsed to the ground.
The last things he saw was the police officer pulling him up and then darkness surrounded him.
**Lucy Heartfilia**
Lucy checked her reflection on her mirror, and tucked a strand of hair back behind her ear.
She was dressed in a black assemble and was holding a bouquet of thorn-less lilies.
Today was the date of her mother's death.
Lucy shook her head, and pushed back the tears that were threatening to spill out.
She will be brave.
Gingerly, she placed her coat on and exited the door, with one last glance in the mirror.
As she entered the limo and greeted the driver, she plucked herself on a seat and stared out the window.
A few raindrops here and there landed on the window.
Just like the clouds, Lucy herself, released the tears, one by one.
I'm evil. This is super duper short. I just thought you guys hadn't have a update in foreverrr! So here!
