Caroline's phone beeps and she picks it up.
I need a girl's day! Meet at the Macaron Café at one?
It's from Serena. Caroline types back - I'll be there - and dashes off to her closet to get changed into a cute little dress and wedges before giving herself a once-over in the mirror. She grins at her reflection and dashes out the door to catch a cab uptown.
When Caroline enters the café she can easily pick out Serena's voice. She shrugs off the help of the hostess to follow the sound to the small table by the front windows. Serena's tearing up a baguette while the brunette next to her types furiously on her phone.
"Caroline!" Serena smiles when she sees her, abandoning her bread to give her a hug. "I'm so glad you could come! Caroline, this is Blair. Blair this is Caroline."
Caroline turns her attention to the brunette and she finally stops messaging on her phone to look up at Caroline. When she does, Caroline's stomach sinks. This is the girl. The girl that was walking with Klaus, Caroline would recognize her face anywhere. Blair
She nods at Blair as she sits down on the empty chair. "Nice to meet you."
"Same," Blair replies before quickly looking down at her phone once again. "We have reservations at Guerlain in an hour and a half."
"B, you're the best! A massage and a manicure are just what I need to take my mind off the last few days."
"Did something happen?" Caroline asks.
Serena sighs as she buries her face in her hands. "S made a grand romantic gesture, only she missed her shot and got him back with his ex," Blair explains as she finally sets her phone down, frowning at Serena's form.
"Oh Serena, I'm sorry," Caroline replies sympathetically.
Serena lifts her head from the table. "I have no chance-Katherine is so hot…ughhh."
Caroline's eyes snap to Serena, "Katherine?"
"Yes, Elijah's ex," Blair snaps quickly before pushing the bread bowl towards Serena.
