Chapter 13

"You did what?"

"I didn't mean to, the bitch kept complaining, I didn't know what to do!"

"So cutting her is the best idea you've got?! Do you know how much attention we almost got from the news broadcast with Chad? With some little girl being cut by this hero on the news, we might as well consider ourselves convicts in a prison!"

"Sonic, this was bad even on your part."

"I was under pressure, Scourge! Shadow just suddenly showed up and-"

"What does this have to do with him? As far as I'm concerned, he's dead to me. Don't even mention he's name to me."

"Look, I'm trying my best here. I can't be this perfect little demon seed you want when I've been a hero all my life. I wasn't programmed that way…"

"And being good all your life prevents this?"

"Sonic, this is not about him, or you, or any of your friends…this is about revenge…I will have it. This is your only chance, and if you mess this up, don't bother to come back."

"You heard the boss, Sonic. I suggest we get this over with…"

"So, what was so important that I couldn't go in with you?" Shadow questioned Amy as she led them away from the waiting room.

"Nothing, and please don't take this the wrong way, but you can be pretty intimidating at times…" she admitted.

"You thought I'd ridicule her?"

"No, no! Okay, let me explain it this way…Imagine if it were me and you ask me what I did to do this and I gave some answer where it made me feel foolish for even doing it. What would be your first comment?" Amy said.

"Have you lost your mind?" the ebony said, trying to go along.

"Exactly. I feel stupid and ashamed and completely shut up. Crystal isn't used to your outright bluntness like I am. She'd take offense and we'd never get any answers from her." the pink hedgehog explained. Thinking about it, she made sense, but Shadow still had his doubts.

"So, because I have a tendency to say what's on my mind, you feel it's necessary to keep me away from the girl in question over being cut by glass?" he asked eyebrow raised.

"In a way, yes."

"That's absurd."

"And for that very reason is why you could not go in there."

"You're going to your parents house at a time like this?"

"Yeah, well, it's not the best plan, but my parents saw that report. My mom's worried so I have to go to reassure her. I should be back tomorrow morning. Crossing dimensions has never been a problem for me."

"But, Blaze…"

"But nothing, Amy. I've made up my mind. Silver says he'll stay at my house and make sure nothing happens while I'm away. All I'm doing is visiting my family."

"If you're so sure- *Amy, didn't I tell you to go to bed?* You're not the boss of me. *You're making this more difficult than it needs to be.* Blaze, I gotta go. Shadow's on his period."

"Haha, okay Amy. I'll call you when I get back."

"Kay, see ya."

Hanging up, Amy looked at the ebony hedgehog in front of her. He stared with the same lazy look until eventually she looked away. "What is it with you and sleeping?" he questioned.

"I'm not sleepy, therefore I don't wanna sleep. Pure science if you ask me!" Amy said, joking sarcastically. Shadow didn't find it funny.

"Please, for the last time, sleep."

"…Can I think about it?"

"No."

"…Thirty more minutes?"

"No."

"Are you sure about this, Blaze?"

"Yes, Silver. Stop asking. All you have to do is watch the house, and I'll be back tomorrow morning. Nothing to it." the feline said. Taking a small backpack with things she may need, she gave the silver hedgehog a small peck on the cheek. She may not want to admit she liked him, but there's no shame in giving subtle hints, is there?

"Tomorrow morning?" Silver reassured.

"Yes. And then, we'll meet up with everyone else." Blaze said. And with that left the hedgehog in her home. Looking around, finding nobody, she went around into the backyard and into the woods here she could be alone to open a portal…

Hours later, just as the sun begun to rise in Station Square, a sky blue swirling circle opened up in the park where they held the celebration of Amy and Shadow's birthday. Out came the feline princess, sighing to herself.

"Last time I ask my dad for help…" she said to herself. Looking around, she noticed it would be awhile before she made it back to her own house from here. "No use standing around then-"

"I wonder if it's right for the princess to be alone without protection?" a voice said. Quickly closing up the portal, Blaze looked around for the owner of the said voice to find a hedgehog's silhouette. With no real light coming from the early morning hours, she couldn't identify the person.

"Silver? Is that you?" was all Blaze could muster. She was scared, but she wouldn't let whoever find out.

"Sure. Let's go with that." then he stepped into the dim light, his smirk shining wickedly bright.

"Scourge? I thought Sonic left you in the Seventh Dimension?" (This is probably not accurate, but work with me here.)

"Accidents happen, babe. And I must say, you're no Pinkie, but you've got quite the shape." Scourge whistled.

"Ugh. Save it. What do you want, and make it quick." Blaze spoke confidently. Knowing it was him, she could easily take him down.

"Nothing about this will be quick, Princess. It's best if you just go along with it." and as if on cue, four other guys appeared around her. On instinct, flames shot out of her hands, and she watched each one with caution.

"Scourge, what is this about?!" the feline demanded. Her only answer was chuckle, and within seconds her hands were tied behind her back as Scourge laughed some more, being her only means of support.

"What is this about, you ask? Oh, nothing really…but when you tend to be a princess from another dimension and you somehow end up on the news, raped and beaten, you draw attention." he said, the others gathering around. Knowing the inevitable was to come, she took a moment to identify everyone around her for later. A grey fox, another hedgehog with green eyes, a lime green hawk, and a blank panther.

"Attention? This is for attention?! Ha! If that was it, we wouldn't be having this conversation." Blaze said, shifting at the lustful gazes. The feline tried her best to remain strong, but her confidence was quickly overridden when she felt her arm pop out of its original place. She couldn't help but yelp in pain.

"True…but it's whose attention we're trying to get." Scourge said, all too wickedly. "Jack, hold one foot, Ivan, grab the other. Xavier take her hands…" all the rest seemed to go by in a screaming blur…

"Amy, I'm getting worried. She said she'd be back this morning. She'd have woke me up if she came back."

"Silver, I think you're overreacting. Maybe she stayed the night or something. Please go back to bed, it's too early for this."

"Danger doesn't sleep! Please, help me contact her or something-"

"Silver! Calm down. And calling her does nothing, we're in two different dimensions. Just wait."

"But, Amy. She could be out there stuck mid-warp and be floating somewhere with no help…"

"Honestly, Silver, you're making this sound way worse than it needs to be."

"Whatever. I'm going to look for her."

"Silver-*click*"

"I swear that hedgehog…"

Gathering the stuff he brought with him, Silver locked Blaze's front door and stuffed the key into his pocket. Grumbling to himself, he walked from her house to his, being there in fifteen minutes. Upon reaching the driveway, in the clear early daylight, he saw something on his front porch. Getting closer, he let out a scream. There, wrapped in a bloody blanket, was the unconscious form of Blaze.

Short chapter, I know. But I also had a some ideas for new stories after this was finished. When commenting, you can rate them on a scale of 1-3, 1 being Most Preferred, 3 is Least Preferred.

*My Little Phony: Tired of being chased by Amy, Sonic pays a girl to pretend to be his girlfriend. This leaves Amy heartbroken, but curious. So, when she finds out the truth and Little Miss Phony gets too clingy, what will the Blue Blur do? (Sonic, Amy, OC; no real pairings) Rating pending.

*Even Friendships Are Complicated: After stewing over it for years, Sonic finally asks Amy out for a date; a friendly date. But afterwards, Amy doesn't feel that spark she used to and decides it's best to remain friends, but Sonic doesn't seem to like the idea. Especially, when others get into the picture…

*Love From Her Knight: Set in a Modern Medivel time. Shadow, a proud knight to his kingdom, is bestowed the responsibility of protecting the princess. When the king and queen hold a ball for her, he feels a great evil present, but the king nor queen believe him! (Mainly Shadow and Amy, Sonic) Rating pending.
