The halls of the grineer ship were void of any noise besides the constant hum and hiss of machinery. When he had arrived here, he was expecting something much more different, after all he was sent to capture a general, and they are usually heavily guarded. But this ship was quite the opposite. This was Excaliburs first capture mission he was sent to do alone, and if all the solo missions were like this, he would gladly take them up more often. He smiled to himself as he leisurely strolled through the halls, throwing caution to the wind, perhaps too much caution.
He continued to make his way towards where the target was meant to be and on his way there made a strange discovery. Blood. Blood and a kunai. The kunai was embedded into a wall, and underneath it was a grinner grakarta. Excalibur plucked it out of the wall and looked at it curiously. He noticed it was black, with a faint red outline, and the tip was coated in semi-dried blood. He twirled it in his fingers, still confused, and then shoved it in one of his warframe 'pockets'. He was now much more cautious than before, walking more quietly and softly. Scanning rooms before he entered and looking out for more black kunai. Someone was here, and they might still be. Excalibur wasn't afraid just, extremely curious but he was feeling a little uneasy. He considered whether he should contact Lotus but discarded the thought as he didn't want to disrupt her highness, he thought sarcastically. He didn't find any more kunai, but he did find more blood stains on the wall with deep scratches in the wall. A blade. And a tough one at that. There was definitely someone here.
He had almost reached his destination, still without any grineer trying to fill him with led, when he spotted something long and thin protruded out of a wall. He carefully walked up to it and when he got closer he realised that it was actually an arrow. A red and black arrow. He looked at it frowning, he was very annoyed about all this and was quickly becoming uncomfortable. Not afraid, just uncomfortable. He left the arrow where it was and proceeded to where the generals quarters. He dropped into a crouch, and slowly and quietly crept up to the door and entered. He was instantly surprised which caused him to stand upright. "What the hell?" he said out loud. The general which he was sent to capture, alive, was on the floor in a pool of blood, with one arrow between his eyes and one through his heart. Black arrows.
