Sherlock had stayed awake most of the night, reading through file after file, cataloguing any useful information he would need for this case. At around half past five in the morning he decided he had enough to work with, tomorrow they would visit some of Balaqua's colleagues and see if they had anything to do with it or knew anything. Flopping into his chair he curled up onto himself and began to plan where they would go, or more specifically how to avoid Mycroft. Maybe he would we able to visit their homes instead of going to their work place where he was sure to 'accidentally' run into his insufferable older brother.
At almost six in the morning he was able to drift off to sleep, Erin didn't wake up until midday meaning they both got a reasonable amount of sleep for a days of investigating. Erin had been cruelly woken by some birds whistling in a tree next to her window, rolling out of bed she sent a glare at the birds through the window before trudging through to the living room. Upon seeing Sherlock in the chair a small smile graced her face, in the time they had lived together she hadn't seen him sleep much and decided he could sleep in for another few minutes whilst she made some tea.
Looking for a light breakfast she found a packet of biscuits and popped a few onto a plate, when she set the plate down on the table near their chairs with a soft clack Sherlock opened his eyes blearily. "W-what?" he murmured disorientated, well a night curled up in a chair did that to you, even if you where Sherlock Holmes. "Drink up," Erin ordered but her tone was laced with affection, "Big day of deducing ahead," she smiled sipping on her own tea.
Obediently the lanky man unfurled himself, cracking the crick in his neck, and took a sip of the warm drink. While Sherlock remained quiet calm, even with a case burning to we solved, Erin could barely contain her excitement. The first case she solved with Sherlock came rushing back to her, the fear, the thrill, she was eager to experience that again. Even if today may not bring jealous murdering boyfriends she was dying to get out of the house, desperate for a distraction from her kiss with Sherlock. Although, she would we with Sherlock.
"So what are we doing today?" Erin asked munching on a biscuit she had plucked from the plate, "Balaqua had colleague's. We're interviewing them," Sherlock explained briefly. Her heart sank just a little when she realised the prospect of a wonderfully thrilling adventure taking place today would indeed not happen.
Finishing off her tea she deposited her mug in the sink and continued on to her room, from her pile of clothes she pluck out comfortable jeans, trainers, a large baggy band shirt and a plaid flannel to wear on top. Next to the small mirror she had in her room was her hair brush, complete with her hair in it, which she glared at with disdain. She scanned her eyes over her hair and decided she could get away with not brushing it for now, there was no way she wanted to subject herself to that kind of torture so soon after waking up.
Erin dressed quickly and was back in the living room with a few minutes, finding that Sherlock had also gotten dressed and was now sporting a blazer, "Ready?" she asked, eagerness back. "Always," came the smiled reply, "Then let's go." She practically skipped to the door, pulled on her coat, and was at the door by the time Sherlock got there, and together they were out the door.
A/N- I know I keep saying that I'll update more often and I never do and I'm really sorry, I'm also sorry for how short this chapter is again. I didn't want to wait an entire month again so I forced myself to write, I think if I write more and write short then I will we able to get back into the swing of things. I think because I left it for so long I began losing interest and the longer I procrastinate the less I want to write. So so so so so so sorry. Even though I don't deserve it: Rate, Review, Comment, please.
