Disclaimer: So sorry for taking so long to get this chapter out to you, but here is the real chapter 13 to this story. As always I do not own the characters from the Monsters vs. Aliens movie, DreamWorks Animation company does, Maggie Brown Tyson however is mine. Now enjoy.

(Maggie's P.O.V.)

"Who sent this robot in the first place," I thought to myself as I stared at the wreckage, "And why was it only after Susan?"

I was so busy with my thoughts that I failed to notice that Susan had knelt to talk to me until her voice snapped me out of it.

"Maggie, Monger told me to tell you that it was time for us to leave," She said to me, " Hey are you OK?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine," I said to her, "I was just thinking about what happened today. Man, am I tired; I could use a break. It feels like my arms and my wings are going to fall off."

"Well, come on," She said to me as she stood up, "The others are waiting."

I followed after her on foot since my wings were still too sore to fly, unable to get those thoughts out of my head as I looked back at the robot being carried away by Monger's team and then turned to board the plane. I saw Link sitting in a jeep as I boarded looking a little depressed about something. About what I didn't have a clue. Soon we were all on board and up in the air. Susan was buzzing with excitement about all the things she did today.

"A month ago if you had asked me to fight and destroy a giant alien robot, I would have said, 'No way, you're crazy'," She said to us, "But I did it. Me. I can't believe I was able to do something like that."

My husband and I smiled at each other and then looked back at her. I was very proud of her. I knew she was special and she was strong, but seeing her in action today, gave me a clue about how strong she really was. We never would have been able to defeat that robot without her help.

"I couldn't believe how easy it was to lift the claw, it was like opening the trunk of a car," She continued, "There probably isn't a jar in this world I can't open now."

"I am so proud of you Susan," I said to her, "You did a great job saving all those people on the bridge."

"Thanks Mags, but what about you?" She said to me, "Remember I missed the first car and you were able to rescue that couple before their car ended up in the bay. Not to mention, saving that little girl dangle over the side of the bridge and getting Doctor Cockroach out of the robot, just moments before it was destroyed."

"I agree, you were both positive heroic my dears," My husband added, and then he turned to Link, "Weren't they amazing Link?"

"Yeah, they were really cool," He sadly said with his back to us, "Fantastic, loved it."

"What's wrong with you," I asked him.

"Oh, I think I know was wrong with him," Doctor Cockroach said with a smirk, "Poor Link, after all that tough talk, you were out-monstered by a couple of girls. No wonder you're depressed."

"Hey, I am not depressed Roach Man," Link snapped, "I'm just tired and still have a bit of a headache."

"Why are you tired," B.O.B. asked, "You didn't do anything."

"Well I haven't been sleeping very well at night all right," Link said to him in annoyance, "I've got sleep apnes, apnea. Whatever, it's not fun."

I am pretty sure he was just making that up to get B.O.B. off his back at this point; but still, I felt bad for him. As much as B.O.B. is annoying at times, and so quick to assume things wrong and pointing out the obvious, he did have a point. Link's pride had been hurt more than his body had than anything else today. I walked over to the jeep he was sitting in to comfort him.

"Look Link, maybe you didn't help us much with the actually fighting of the robot," I said to him as I rubbed his arm, "But you did help us some with the mission."

"Yeah how," He sadly asked me.

I thought for a minute before answering him, "Well, you help me and Doctor Cockroach get to land after we landed in the bay. And with the robot, well if you didn't run into it, we never would have noticed that the shield was still on."

He smiled a bit after I told him that and Susan used one of her fingers to pat him on the back.

"Okay, so you're still a little rusty, er, 'sleep deprived', Susan said to him, "But after some practice you'll be feeling like your old self again and so will I."

I sighed after hearing that. I had hoped that after seeing all the things she could do, that she would have forgotten all about the getting back to normal thing.

"What happened to the 'There isn't a jar in this world that I can't open' stuff? B.O.B. asked her, "Wait did you find a jar you couldn't open? Were there pickles inside it?"

"No B.O.B. she didn't find a jar, "I told him, "But you do make a point."

"But I'm not pointy," He said in confusion, and then he turned into a ball, "See I'm round."

"Oh, never mind," I annoyingly said to him.

"I think I know what B.O.B. was trying to say," Doctor Cockroach said to Susan, "He means that we find that the new Susan is the cat's me-wow."

I groaned and did a face palm after hearing him say that. "Really," I asked him.

He chuckled awkwardly as the rest of us stared at him, then he said, "I'm sorry, I'll stop," as he lowered his antenna in embarrassment.

"Aw that's sweet of you to say so Doctor Cockroach," Susan said to him, "I have a normal life waiting for me in Modesto."

"Sweetie," I asked to her, "Have you really thought this through?"

"Yeah I'm with Maggie on this one Susan," Link said to her "How does this normal life thing fit in with you being a giant and all?"

"I'm not going to be a giant forever Link," She told him and then turned to me and my husband, "You promised me that you would help find a cure for my… condition Doctor Cockroach. Maggie, please. Derek and I are a team and I miss him. Surely you two, yourselves, know what that's like."

"I did make you a promise Susan and I will," My husband said to her, "You know one of these days you should bring him with you when you come to see us."

"Really, you guys want to meet Derek," She asked us.

"Yeah, I want to meet him," I excitedly told her, "I want a face to go with the name of this guy you have telling us so much about."

"Ok," She said and then asked us, "Would one of you go get General Monger please?"

(One hour later):

We felt the jet landing and were preparing to get off. Monger appeared on the railing of the plane.

"Ok first stop Modesto. Ginormica, I called your family and told them you were coming home," He said to her, "I also called the Modesto PD and told them not to shoot at any of you."

"Thanks General," Susan said and saluted to him.

As we exited the plane, I couldn't help but notice the tranquility of Susan's neighborhood. It reminded me of my old town in New York. My husband came up next to me and gave me a gentle hug. I sighed and placed my hands over his on my shoulder. He must have thought of the same thing I did. Susan looked around for a moment before addressing us.

"I spotted my house," She said while pointing in some direction, "Follow me."

The guys decided to follow Susan on foot while walking on opposite sides of her as she led the way. I decide to rest on her shoulder as she went.

"Ok now remember these people haven't seen anything like you or you," She said and pointed to us, "Or you either Mags so just be cool. Just be, you know, just follow my lead."

Unfortunately, she stepped on part of a fence after she finished saying that. Then the guys, my husband included, started breaking apart the rest of the fence. I flew down to stop them from smashing a car with planks from the fence.

"Stop," I yelled at them and got in their way.

"That was just an accident," Susan shrieked at them, "Don't destroy anything!"

Then B.O.B. threw the plank he had behind him and it broke another person's car window. I sighed and shook my head before going over to my husband. Then I smacked him upside the back of his head.

"Ow," He said and was going to protest until I cut him off.

"Uh don't," I told him while crossing my arms, "You knew very well that was not what Susan meant when said to follow her lead. What is wrong with you? You know for being the smartest man in the world that was a pretty stupid thing to do. I expected that from B.O.B. but not you. Honestly Antony."

"I am sorry my love, I apologize," He said to me, "Just got a little carried away."

"Fine," I said to him.

"Susan," We heard a new voice ask from the house of the smashed fence. There on the front porch was a woman with short brown hair and accompanying her was a man and several other people all looking at Susan.

"Susie Q." The man exclaimed and ran over to her along with the woman.

"Mom, Daddy," Susan asked and bent down to hug them in her hands.

"Did they experiment on you," Mrs. Murphy worriedly asked Susan.

I was a little nervous about the answer to that question. I wonder if Susan is going to tell her parents about all the experiments my husband performed on her during her visit.

"No mom, I'm fine," She surprisingly said to her parents.

The Mr. and Mrs. Murphy noticed us. I could tell by the looks on their faces and the faces of Susan's friends that they were a little scared of us. I mean it's not every day that you see two half roach people, a fish/ape hybrid thing and a blue blob creature on your lawn. Susan notice the direction her parents and friends were looking and set her parents down to introduce us.

"Oh Mom, Dad it's okay. These are my new friends," She happily pointed to each of us, "This is the Missing Link."

"That's Link to the ladies," He said with a wink.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"B.O.B, Doctor Cockroach and his wife and my best friend Maggie," She finished saying.

"Oh Derek I can't tell you how much I've missed you," B.O.B. said to Mrs. Murphy as he swung her around, "Thinking about you is the one thing that got me through prison. I love you. I love this man."

Then he hugged her so tight that she ended up getting stuck in his body.

"No B.O.B. that's my mother," Susan yelled at him, "You're suffocating her, spit her out!"

"Oh sorry my bad," He said before spitting Mrs. Murphy out on to the lawn.

I sighed, shook my head and walked over to her to help her up.

"Here let me help you," I said to her.

She looked a little unsure of me, but then she grabbed my hand and I pulled her up.

"Thanks, ew that was disgusting," She said to me because she was covered from her head to her shoes in goo from B.O.B.

"Sorry about that Mom, He's really big on hugs and tends to be a bit forgetful at times" Susan said to her and then she looked around for a moment, "Where's Derek?"

"Oh he's at work sweetie," Mrs. Murphy said to her as she left me to go over to her husband.

"You know how he is about his career," Mr. Murphy added.

"Well we aren't going to celebrate without him," Susan said and started to leave, "I'll go to the news station to get him."

"Uh Susan," Mrs. Murphy asked her, "What do I do with all your little friends?"

"Just put out some snacks," Susan called out as she left, "They'll eat anything."

Right when she left I heard the sound of something rattling in a trashcan. And sure enough, there, much to my embarrassment was my husband half-way in rummaging through the Murphy's trash. The Murphy's looked at him and then at me in confusion and concern. I chuckled awkwardly and it didn't help that Link was rolling along the ground laughing his head off. I groaned and growled quietly before marching over to that trash can and gave it a good swift kick. That got my husband's attention and he shot up a second later, sending trash everywhere in the process. It took everything in my power not to start eating the trash on the ground and freaking out the Murphy's and Susan's friends more than they already were.

"What do you think you're doing," I hissed at Antony with my teeth clenched tightly, "You are embarrassing me, Tony and you are being very rude. You didn't have the Murphy's permission to start eating their trash like that."

"I'm sorry love," He said to me with an embarrassed chuckled, "I do apologize Mr. and Mrs. Murphy for my rude behavior. Delicious ambrosia, by the way though."

Then he wiped a hand on his coat before holding it out for Mr. Murphy to shake.

"Uh that's ok. Apology accepted," He said as he shook Tony's hand and then he turned to me, "Uh Maggie was it? You and your husband can have the rest if you want."

"Thank you Mr. Murphy," I said to him while frowning at my husband, "At least you had the manners of offering it to us."

"Please Margaret, "He surprisingly said to me. He hasn't called me that since our wedding day and I knew he was being serious, "I am sorry about that. I will try to conduct myself in a more civilize way. Please forgive me."

"Well I," I started to say as I could felt my anger slowly melting away. Calling me by my first real name really shook me as everyone had heard him. I really never used Margaret on a regular basis except on a few occasion.

"Come on Maggie. Forgive the guy," Link said as he put his arm around my shoulders, and then he whispered in my ear, "Remember that you are both half roach people, you did just do a lot of work and you have to be hungry. You can't tell me that seeing all that trash on the ground isn't making you want to jump in there too, otherwise I would say you are lying."

After hearing him say that and look at all that delicious food on the ground, I couldn't deny it. I was very tempted. If it wasn't for the fact that we had an audience and he was surprisingly holding me back, I would probably have charge right in that trash can and at the trash on the ground.

"Ok Antony I forgive you," I said to him, "Now can we please get this set up properly? I'm starving and thank you Link for holding me back."

"No problem Maggie," Link said to me.

"Absolutely, uh Mr. Murphy, I have a question for you," He said and turned to him. Mr. Murphy was on the front porch and looked a little wary as did the rest of them. Not that blame them, I mean they did see us fighting not two minutes ago, that would make anyone nervous.

"Yes, uh what do you want," He nervously asked Doctor Cockroach.

"Do you have an outdoor table in the backyard," My husband asked him, "You see, we have just had a long day and I'm sure everyone is tired. My wife and I would like to eat our meal properly you understand right?"

"Uh yeah, we have one," He said to my husband, "It's over by the pool and next to the bar in the back."

"You have a pool," Link excitedly asked him, Mr. Murphy jumped back a bit at Link's outburst, "Sweet, hey I got an idea. Let's make this a party, a sort-of victory party like Susan wanted."

"Ooh I love parties," B.O.B. excitedly said.

"ROAR" Insectosaurus roared in agreement. He scared the Murphy's and the others.

"What is that," One of Susan's girlfriends shrieked.

"Hey relax. It's just Insectosaurus," Link said to her, "He's harmless really. Hey big guy, we're having a party. You in?"

"ROAR," He roared and stamped his tail excitedly. The ground shook under his tail's poundings. I giggled a bit while trying to keep my balance and I could feel my wings flutter in assistance.

"Okay, okay Insecto stop that's enough," Link said with a chuckle, "Sorry about that. Like I said, he's harmless."

"T-t-that's, f-f-fine," Mrs. Murphy nervously said, I could just by looking at her that she was shaking, "Now why do you all come through the back gate and we will get everything set up for when Susan gets back with Derek.

It took a little while but the Murphy's got the backyard set up for the party. Mrs. Murphy was king enough to get some tongs for my husband and I so we could get as much trash as we wanted out of the trash can. In return, we ate away from the others so they wouldn't get grossed out. Link put on some music and started dancing towards the pool and attempted to flirt with some of Susan's girlfriends on the way. They just got startled and quickly moved away from him. At the same time, B.O.B was over by the tables flirting with a lime green Jell-O mold.

"Hey who wants to go for a swim with the Link," Link called out as he got on the diving board. He jumped a couple of times, then launched himself up and did a full twist with a triple flip before landing hard back on the diving board and falling in the water.

"Link, Link are you okay? Answer me," I called to him. He immediately resurfaced. He coughed a bit and rubbed his head.

"Ow, yeah I'm fine Maggie," He said to me while rubbing his head and swam to the stairs.

"Oh good I am glad you're ok. Uh about your dive, you should have gone out a bit further Link," I told him.

"Oh you think you can do better," He asked me with a smirk, "Fine then, why don't you show everyone. Oh but uh you can't use your wings to go up higher. You have to use the diving board."

"That's fine, I don't need my wings for this," I told him and then I turned to Mrs. Murphy, "Do you or Susan have a swimsuit I could borrow for a while?"

"Uh yes, I think one of Susan's old swimsuits should fit you," Mrs. Murphy nervously said to me.

She showed me the way to Susan's old room and got out an ocean blue bikini for me to try on and then she left to give me some privacy. I tried on the top and tucked my wings over the back strap to avoid damaging them. It fit perfectly and I looked pretty good in it.

"I wonder what Antony will think when he sees me in this," I thought and blushed in the mirror, "I haven't worn one of this things in over 50 years; maybe I should wear a shirt over it or something. No, no Maggie now is not the time to get self-conscious. You came here to have a fun and that's what you are going to do. You can do this. You can do this."

With this new burst of confidence, I made my way to the backyard. Everyone was surprised at my new look, including my husband who was standing over by the bar. His mouth hung open and his eyes were wide open. I guess he had forgotten what I looked like in a bikini. As I walked toward the pool, B.O.B. said, "Wow, Mrs. C you look pretty."

"Thank you B.O.B,"I said and giggled feeling like a teenager again.

"He's wrong though. You don't look pretty Maggie Brown Tyson," Antony said to me, "You look radiant and shunning my dear."

"Flatterer," I said to him as I put my arms around his neck.

"Proud of it," He said as he put his arms around by waist and then he passionately kissed me.

"Ok, ok, she looks good in a bikini and you attracted to her, great," Link said while trying to break us up, "Now are you going to show me just how good you are at diving or what?"

"Uh Link I should probably warn you," Doctor Cockroach started to tell him until I cut him off by put a finger on his lips.

"Uh, uh uh, that would spoil the surprise sweet heart," I told him, "He is just going to have to find out for himself and like I said before, I wouldn't even need my wings to beat you."

"Ok, bring it on roach girl," Link taunted me.

I smirked and made my way towards the diving board. I walked to the end of the diving board and jumped a little to get some speed before launching myself high into the air. I started with a swan dive and finished with a perfect full body twist and a front flip right into the pool. I made my way to the surface and cheered as soon as my head came out of the water.

"Dang, you did that better than me," Link complained, "How did you do that?!"

"I was on the diving team in high school and in college Link," I proudly told him, "Amazing after 50 some off years, I still got it."

Then I felt some water go into my mouth. I wiped the water off my face and saw Link standing with his tail posed to splash me again.

"Yeah don't go getting a swelled head Mags," He teased with his arms crossed, "Or you'll have difficulty flying."

"Oh so you think it is funny to splash someone when their guard is down," I retorted, "Well see how you like it."

With that, we started a splash fight, until I splashed Link when his eyes were open and the water got in them.

"Aah, chlorine, chlorine in my eyes," He cried out.

He got out of the pool groaning and had his arms out in front of him. Unfortunately, in his search for relief for his eyes, the rest of the people started to panic.

"They're turning on his," Mr. Murphy cried out in a panic, as he was in Link path at the time and he ran away screaming his head off.

"This is getting out of control," I thought to myself, "I need to find a way to calm things down."

I went over to the bar to find some water, only to find it in a shambles.

"Honey what happened," I asked Doctor Cockroach.

His whole face and clothes were covered in soot like something exploded in his face. How I missed that, to this very day, I don't know.

"I tried to make one of my Atomic Gin Fizzes," He explained while coughing, "I think I added a bit too much gin to this cocktail."

"It's okay," I told him while brushing off his coat the best I could, "Is there any water that survived?"

"Let me see," He said as he searched the remains and then he found a glass bottle of water that had survived for me, "Here you are my dear."

"Thank you," I said in relief.

I flew over to Link and said, "Link I have some water for your eyes. Now I need you to open them the best you can so I can wash the chlorine out."

He nodded his head, tilted his head back and opened his eyes a bit. I flew up and unscrewed the cap to pour the water in his eyes. He winced a bit at first, but little by little, he started to relax. When I finished off the bottle, his eyes were still a little red; but not as much as before.

"Thanks Maggie, oh gosh," He said as he wiped the water from his face and blinked his eyes, "That really helped a lot."

"You're welcome and I am so sorry for splashing water in your eyes," I told him.

Then I spotted Mrs. Murphy running around the banquet table frantically grabbing things and running back into the house. I flew over to her and she shrieked when she saw me.

"Easy Mrs. Murphy, please calm down," I softly said to her, "Everything is alright now. Link just got some chlorine in his eyes and I've fixed that. Here, I'll change back into my regular clothes and you can have the swimsuit back. I'm probably not going to go back into the pool anymore."

"NO! T-t-that's f-f-fine," She shrieked at me and back up, "T-take it! Take whatever you want, just don't hurt me or my family!"

"Mrs. Murphy," I said to her, feeling a bit hurt, as I gently touched her arm, "I would never you or your family so please calm down."

"No don't touch me you monster," She screamed and backed up some more from me, "Everyone run for your lives!"

Then she pushed me down as she ran with the others through the fence in a panic. I skinned my head on the concrete and could feel a knot forming on the right side of my head. Antony was at my side and helped me up.

"Honey, are you all right," He asked me as he examined my head and light pressed a cold wet cloth to it.

"No I'm not Tony," I said to him, "I want to go home."

"OK, I will call Monger and see if he can find the deeds to your parent's house or if any of our old friends are alive and," He started to say until I cut him off.

"NO,"I cried, I could feel the tears start welding up in my eyes, "I want to go back to the Facility."

"What?! Why," Link exclaimed, "We just spent the last 50 years trying to leave and now that we are free, you want to go back?!"

"Yes Link. That's exactly what I want to do," I turned and said to him. I felt the tears escape down my face and was at the point of losing it, "Look at us Link! I mean really what were we thinking?! We save the city from a giant alien robot that terrified everyone and they will automatically accept us? It doesn't work like that! Look at what happened because you accidentally got chlorine water in your eyes. They thought you and I were attacking them and they ran away from us. Let's just find Susan, tell her good-bye and go home."

I flew back into the house, up to Susan's room, where I left my clothes, toweled off, changed back into my regular clothes and put the swimsuit and towel in the washing machine for Mrs. Murphy when she returns. I wrote her a letter and left it for her under a pile of dishes on the patio table she forgot to bring in. Then I looked up the news station Susan had told me where Derek worked at, wrote down the address so we could start there on our search for her and gave it to my husband. Then we start to head there.

(3rd person P.O.V.)

10 minutes later after Maggie and the guys headed out to find Susan, the Murphy's came home and worryingly looked around to make sure the monsters were gone. When they saw that the coast was clear, they started putting the rest of the party stuff away. Mrs. Murphy picked up a pile of dirty dishes and saw Maggie's letter. Being curious, she set the dishes back down and scanned the letter and her eyes widened.

"Carl," She called out to her husband, "Come and listen to this."

"Dear Mr. and Mrs. Murphy,

I am so sorry for what happened at the party. It was never our intention of harming any of you. Link got some chlorine water in his eyes from our splash fight and I take full responsibility for it. He was just looking for someone to help him get it out. I just wanted to tell you that even though I look extremely different from you, I am an honest person. I wish things could have been different and I would have loved to be as good friends with you as I am with your daughter. But since neither you nor your husband want anything to do with me, my husband nor any of our friends; we will just go out of your lives quietly. I took the liberty of putting the swimsuit and a towel that I borrowed in the washing machine for you. It should be done by the time you return and have read this letter. Thank you for letting me borrow it and for letting me feel what it was like to be a normal person again. Again I am so very sorry for the trouble we have caused you.

Sincerely, Mrs. Cockroach aka. Maggie Brown Tyson."

Mrs. Murphy wiped the tears from her face, pushed past her husband and raced to the washing machine. There she found that the swimsuit and towel in the washing machine just as it finished its last cycle. She took the wet swimsuit from the machine and held it to her chest. Mr. Murphy came up behind her.

"Oh Carl," She said to him, "What have we done?"
