~*Chapter 13*~
It's been a couple of days since I've been in my inner world. I learned that my zanpakuto spirit was actually a soul reaper previously but became a zanpakuto spirit to save my life. His name was Hikaru Adachi. I used call him Karu, however, as a nickname. However, although he told me his former name, I had to fight and discover his true name, his zanpakuto name. And I did. I was finally able to hear his real name and he helped me practice fighting using his shikai form. After two days of learning, he let me come back for Kisuke to teach me more.
"ZANGETSU!" ~Looks like Ichigo just figured out the name of his zanpakuto spirit.~ I think as I opened my eyes to see and bright light flash and shoot passed Kisuke towards me. My eyes widen and I scrambled to get up.
"What the fu-!" I jumped out of the way at the nick of time and landed on my stomach. "Ow.." I groan as I turn to see that it the attack was an inch closer, I would have no big toe. I breathed out a sigh and looked over to see Tessai shielding Jinta and Ururu behind a boulder.
"What...What is it this time?" Jinta says as he looks over the boulder to see the smoke clearing and Kisuke and Ichigo standing a little ways from us. In Ichigo's hand was his zanpakuto, Zangetsu, in shikai form.
"That...What is that zanpakuto sword...?" Jinta questions with wide eyes.
"You can't even see the hilt and hand protection...The shape of the sword is not very complete...Comparing with the last one, the last sword is better..." Tessai states. Ichigo looks down at Zangetsu with narrowed eyes.
"Since, your zanpakuto appeared, we can officially start test three!" Kisuke smiles and gives a thumbs up. Ichigo was about to reply but interrupted him.
"Not just yet!" I stood up and placed my hands on my hip, glaring at the two, well more to Ichigo since he's the one that almost cut me in half. Everyone turns and stares at me with wide eyes. Ichigo stares at me with a determined face. Kisuke grins at me.
"Ah, so you're finished with that task I gave you?" I sighed and flash step towards him. Once I appeared I raised my arms. He flinched thinking I was going to hit him, but I what I did next shocked him...I hugged him. His eyes widen. "Uh...? What's this for?"
"Thank you...for saving me." I said softly. Kisuke smiles.
"It was my pleasure." I stepped back and smiled.
"And thank you for listening to Karu." Kisuke grins.
"So he told you, huh?" I giggled and nodded my head.
"Yes, we both agreed that you are probably the smartest man to live." Kisuke fake blushes and pulled out his fan, waving it in front of his face.
"Oh, stop it! You're making me blush. I know I'm brilliant, but still-" My eye twitched and I grabbed the fan and threw it. Kisuke gasped and Ichigo smirked.
"You just ruined it." I sighed and crossed my arms at Kisuke.
"Heh, that's why she's my favorite." Jinta smirks as he stands with Ururu and Tessai.
"Skye..." Ichigo says my name. I look over at him to see him giving me a look of pure determination. My eyes widen and Kisuke notices the silent interaction between us. He smiles softly.
"I'll give you two a short break." He walks off, leaving us two alone. I quietly look over at Ichigo who stares back at me with a gentle gaze.
"I'm sorry." He says almost immediately. I stayed quiet and waited for him to say the rest of the things he was going to say. "I...shouldn't have said that to you and I apologize for being an ass. I was just...I was really scared for your safety and I only thought about my feelings when I should have thought of yours. I know my mistake now and I'll start thinking of your feelings from now on. So please, can you forgive me?" He finishes. He looks like he's been thinking about it the whole entire time we've been fighting. I smile.
"I forgive you." I say bluntly. He sighs and turns away.
"I knew you wouldn't forgive so easily-Wait did just say you forgive me?" Ichigo's eyes widen and he turns back to me quickly. Wow, talk about dejavu! I laughed.
"Oh my gosh, I tell you bluntly and you think I said something else! Haha, wow!" I laugh. Ichigo blushes in embarrassment.
"Shu-Shut up! It's not funny! I'm being serious here!" He tries to defend himself. I stop laughing and smile up at him.
"I know." His eyes widens but then he smiles back.
"Then I'm glad."
"Awww, this is cute and all, but we don't have that much time to dwaddle around." I sigh as Kisuke appears beside us.
"You always ruin the good moments." A sweat drop appear and both Ichigo and I sigh. Kisuke rolls his eyes but then turns to me seriously.
"Were you able to learn his name?" I look up and smirk at Kisuke.
"Sure did." Kisuke smirks back at me and Ichigo's eyes widen.
"Wait, are you talking about your zanpakuto?!" I grin.
"Yep, wanna see?" Kisuke nods and so does Ichigo. I grin and unsheathed my sword and raised both my arm and it up towards the sky. I smirk and called out the now familiar chant.
"Shine brighter than the sky, Akarui Hon?!" Bright blue flames shoot out from my hands and wraps themeself around Karu. Karu shines brightly and the others had to squint their eyes. The light dimmed a little to the point they could look and I lowered the sword to out in front of me. The flames still glowed brightly and twirled around Karu's blade.
"Whoa..." Jinta gasp as he and the others stare with wide eyes at Karu. I could feel a sense of pride fill in me and I could hear Karu chuckling at my feelings.
"Incredible..."Kisuke mumbles as he stared at Karu.
"Meet, Akarui Hon?, my zanpakuto, aka, Karu!" I grin. Kisuke smiles.
"So that kid became this? I'm almost jealous." Suddenly Ichigo collapses. I jumped. ~Oh wait, wasn't he suppose to fall asleep earlier? Hehe, oops I guess I forgot about that and made him stay up.~ Kisuke sighs and picks up Ichigo, he then turns to me. "You're probably exhausted, so why don't you go upstairs and sleep. We will soon start up the worse part of training. I yawn and nod my head, now noticing how fatigued I was.
"Don't have to tell me twice to go to sleep! I'm so freaking sleepy, I feel as if I can fall over just like Ichigo!" I return Karu back to his normal state and began walking over to the ladder.
"Skye." I paused and look back over at Kisuke. He caught my gaze with a sad look.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I thought Hikaru could tell you better." I smile and shook my head.
"It's okay, it would have been fine whoever told me. I'm just glad I know the truth and that you and Karu both saved my life." I turn to face him. "And once again, thank you. You don't know how much that means to me. I owe both you and Karu my life. I'll never forget what you guys did for me." Kisuke smirks.
"Good night!" I grin and turn back to the ladder. Glancing over my shoulder one last time I call back to him.
"Good night!" I began to climb the ladder. ~And thank you Karu, for being there for me this whole time. I'm sorry I'm not the Tsuki you once knew, but because of you I got a second chance at life! So thank you!~ I could practically feel Karu's smile and he chuckles.
"Don't worry about it, I'll do anything for my Master and Love."
