Forgive & Venice

The couple stood in the console room after another every strange adventure. The Doctor loving traced every curve of Rose's face grateful to see it's beauty that was Rose. He captured her lips with own. He moaned at the feel of the softness of them against his own. He pulled back and wrapped his arms around her slender waist.

"That was so weird not having a face." whispered Rose in the crook of his neck. She pulled back, "I can tell you think if I get a pimple on my face, I'll actually be happy to see you!"

"Oh, I think I see one, right here." said the Doctor and tapped her nose.

She touched her nose. "I do not." said the pink and yellow girl. "You're horrible." She playfully slapped his arm.

The Time Lord kissed Rose's nose and pulled her over to the controls. He placed her hand onto of the lever with his resting on top, and they pushed the lever up sending them into the Time Vortex.

The Doctor careful untangled himself from Rose's arms and legs and got out of the bed. He smiled when he saw her reach for him in her sleep. She grabbed his pillow and snuggled up in tight with a small smile on her face. He gently crested her cheek and quietly slipped out of the bedroom. She was still part human and did need her sleep, but just not as much as she use to. He turned and closed the door behind him with a silent click. He made his way down the hall in search of a room he hadn't been in years. His grandmother's ring wasn't even in the vault room as he called it, where all his valuables were hidden, but his most precious thing of all slept in the bed down the hall.

The Time Lord stopped in front of a deep sliver leaf oak door, and he pricked his finger with a small needle that had appeared nearby and touched the door. The door swung open and the Doctor stepped inside the large room. The TARDIS's brightened the lights in the room. He took a deep breathe at the sight of it all.

The room was large with shelves that held Ancient books of the High of Gallifrey, to the deepest of secrets of the High Council, dangerous potions and even some pieces of enemies that had to be tucked away in order to keep the universe safe. The of course his name that was written in the history of Time War. Then small items that he found worthy of the room such as, Suzan's bedroom and his mother's bedroom. She had traveled with him once before her death.

The Doctor walked over to a very old cradle. The cradle was made out of wood with Gallifreyan symbols and stars and moons hung above it that turned to make the baby smile. He exhaled a shake breath. His baby would have slept in the cradle that belonged to his great-great grandmother. He brushed away a fallen tear and turned away from it, before he broke down into tears.

The Doctor reached the back of the room and found a large wooden box. He lifted the lid and smiled. He touched the old book with a sad smile. It was his family's old wedding bible of Gallifrey. He didn't even wed his wife on Gallifrey with the family wedding bible. He found her not worthy of such an old family custom. He had been the last physically born before the looms had been developed. He had been an outcast because his parents had married for love and not married those they were to marry. He had been close to his family. It had been rare on Gallifrey, but it was something he treasured. The Doctor smiled at the small two box that rested near the old book. He picked up one and opened it revealing a gold diamond ring. It had been his mother's wedding band. He picked up the other box and opened it revealing a plan gold wedding band. The ring had belonged to his father.

"Well, Mum, Dad it seems I'm finally marry for love like I promised you. Wish me luck." said the Doctor, he stuck the boxes in pant's pocket and grabbed the old bible and he left the room. The door sealing itself shut.

"Jackie, please this has to end." said the Doctor as they sat in the living room of the Tyler flat, while Rose stayed in the TARDIS. "This hurting us all. You haven't pick up the phone. So I couldn't tell you what happened."

"Then what has happened?" asked Jackie.

The Doctor swallowed hard and his tears burned with tears. "We lost the baby. She had a miscarriage, Jackie."

She looked down at her cup of tea that rested in her hands. She blinked back the tears that threaten to leak from her eyes. She couldn't believe how she had acted towards the couple. She had turned hurt her daughter so bad telling Rose to get rid of the baby, and now there she was knowing that she felt empty and at times blaming herself trying to think if she did something different that the baby would still be growing inside of her.

"It's my fault." whispered Jackie looking up sadly at the Time Lord. "I shouldn't have said those things to her or you."

The Doctor shook his head, "Heavens no, Jackie. This is in no way your fault. If there's someone to blame it's me. I made her too many things. The trips the stress of it all. It's my fault." He covered his face with his hands willing the tears not to come.

She sat her tea down on the table and moved to the couch. She wrapped her arm around his shoulders. The Doctor turned wrapped his arms around the woman's neck and took several deep breathes.

"Sweetheart, you're not to blame nor the trips are to blame. Rose's body wasn't able to take of the baby. Her body wasn't ready to give birth to a child. It's just nature's way." She pulled him back and cradled his face with her hands. "When you're ready to have a baby with Rose you'll both know. But as for now you'll be just fine. The pain will always be there. I know. I've been there with Pete."

He removed her hands and held them for comfort. "Then tell Rose, be there for her Jackie. My pink and yellow girl needs you, and yes I need you as well."

"You're right. I'll go to that ship of yours and talk to her." said Jackie. She went to stand up, but the Doctor stopped her. "What is it sweetheart? What else do you need to tell me?"

The Doctor neverously tugged slight on his ear. "I want to ask you something."

"Alright, what do you want to ask?"

"May I marry your daughter?" asked the Doctor. The custom wasn't Gallifreyan but he knew it was a human custom. He wanted Jackie's blessing in the union.

Jackie sat back on the couch. She sighed heavily. She wasn't surprised that the Doctor wanted to marry Rose. She knew the draft alien loved her daughter. It was plan as day. She wanted her Rose happy. She looked at the Time Lord and smiled.

"Yes, you may marry Rose."

The Doctor released the breath he had been holding. He smiled brightly at the woman next to him. He pulled Jackie into a tight hug rocked her side to side. "Thank you!"

Jackie returned the tight hug. "Now, let me go talk to Rose. It's time we work everything out." He nodded in agreement and they left the flat and headed for the TARDIS.

The Doctor told Jackie that she could find Rose in the library and that the TARDIS would show her the way. She nodded and left the console room. He smiled and laid down under the console to tinker for a little while. He knew that the old girl didn't need fixing, but it was their special time, even if at time she did shock him not to touch a wire that was fixed just fine.

"Well, old girl I hope they will work everything out. I know Rose is hurting. I know you can feel her heartache like I can." He told the TARDIS. "You, know I got Jackie's blessing to ask Rose to marry me. I hope my Rose says yes." The TARDIS flashed her lights happily. "I know she walked in here all those years ago, but it's the butterflies that hit your stomach." He said as he gently stroked the console.

Rose ducked her head under the console when she had found legs stretched out on the floor. She smiled at the man that laid under the console. "Are you stroking the TARDIS again?"

"You caught me red handed. I'm cheating on with my lovely ship." said the Doctor, just then he got a sharp shock. "Ouch! Don't do that!"

Rose chuckled, "She doesn't agree with your words Doctor."

He moved out from under the console and stood up from the floor. He stuck his sonic inside his pocket. He smiled at the women. "So did we have a nice chat?"

Rose nodded her head with a smile. "Thank you." She said and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Oh, Rose I know you need your mother. I would do anything to make you happy."

Jackie pulled both of them into a tight hug. "You two don't stay away for too long. I want to see very soon," and she walked out of the TARDIS, she threw the Time Lord a quick wink before closing the door behind her.

"Venice! I've never taken you to Venice!" said the Doctor happily and ran around the console happily pushing buttons and pulling levers.

{}

The TARDIS door opened and the couple stepped out into busy streets. The Doctor smiled and took Rose's hand into his own. He raised her left hand to his lips and kissed it gently.

"Ah, Venice, the capital of the Vento reign, group of 118 islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. Also known as the City of Bridges, City of Water, The City of Canals," and my personal favorite "The Floating City!" said the Doctor happily as they walked down the streets. "Oh, so much history in Venice."

Rose smiled and looked around the canals where gangplow drivers were steering several boats. She saw large buildings that been built so long ago along with more up to date stores. The Doctor looked over at Rose smiled. He had been meaning to bring her to Venice, and this was perfect for him to asked the woman of his life to marry him.
