The owl the twins had sent made its next stop at the Lovegood family home. Luna seemed to be waiting for the owl to arrive. "Hello Horus how are you doing today?" the young girl asked the owl. Horus landed on the girls out stretched arm and dipped his head in greeting to her.
"I have the letter for Harry right here." She said as she held it up. What only Harry and Neville knew was that Luna was a seer of unmeasured power and the last descendant of Rowena Ravenclaw on her mother's side. She talked in riddles so that people would actually have to listen and think to understand what she was telling them.
Both of the slightly older boys had known right away that there was more to what she was saying than most would give credit to, but promised her that they would not tell a single soul of her ability for her own safety. The Unspeakables were still uncertain how exactly a seer's magic worked to tell them the future, and because of that they took as many seer's as possible to try and dissect their magic. This more often than not resulted only in the death of the seer with nothing being learned about their magic.
After insuring that Horus did not need to rest for the night she let him go on his way after placing several protection spells and charms on him and the letters he carried for a safe trip.
She knew that before this was over that Hogwarts Heirs would stand together, like the founders, did to remove a power hungry madman from their beloved castle. Hogwarts would once more be a safe place for all magical children to be.
Horus flew through an opened window in a large house surrounded on all sides by forests. The window let into a large and elegantly furnished library. Seated snuggly in a large plush chair was Hadrian.
Now that Severus had decided to take the time and really get to know his son he had been shocked to learn that Hadrian had been interested in learning about Potions and various obscure ways it could be combined with spells and charms. That the real reason he had been unable to answer the questions that first day was because of Granger and Weasley actually preventing him from properly revising via a spell they had placed on his school books.
Armed with this new knowledge mother and son had worked tirelessly to fix the problem brought about by the sheer idiocy of those two worthless pieces of scum.
Horus patiently waited for the young teen to give him his attention, while Hadrian finished the last paragraph he was reading. "Hello and who are you, you beautiful bird?" Hadrian gently asked the bronze colored owl. At hearing this Horus sat up and seemed to preen himself to show off a bit.
After a small, gentle laugh slipped past Hadrian's lips he asked "Do you have something for me?" At Horus approach Hadrian said "Can you wait until one of my parents can check you? I doubt that you would try to hurt me," he hastened to explain at the look of 'how dare you' that seemed to cross the owls face "but they would be mad at me if I took something without their ok first."
The explanation seemed to appease the owl, which looked to have decided that his parents were quite intelligent for having set such measures to protect their offspring.
"Hadrian" came a voice from the front of the room "where are you?"
"I'm back here Mum." He called back.
Severus and to Hadrian's surprise Tom came back to where their son was seated. It didn't take the two long to see the owl with the letters addressed to their son. Horus waited out the scans with a silent dignity that only a well-trained postal owl could possess. After everything had cleared with only protection spells on the owl and letters the three settled in to hear what news Hadrian had received.
After reading the letters from the twins and the notes from Luna and Neville, that both just assured him (with notes written in ink made with truth serums made in them to assure only the truth could be written) that they stood with him no matter what. The news from the twins reviled everything that The Order had said and done in the last meeting, and using the same type of ink assured him that they stood with him and would tell him everything they could as soon as they could.
When the letters were read and the shock had passed, (it was really only to the declarations of the twins, Neville, and Luna that they would stand by him no matter what that gave him any shock, his parents less so) Tom turned to his son and said "I do believe that it's time we make our own move. What do you think Hadrian, Severus?"
"It should have been done weeks ago." Severus stated in his no nonsense tone. Hadrian just wondered what in the world his father was talking about. Seeing the curiosity is his son's eyes Tom explained that he intended to announce that he had a family and present Severus as his Consort and Hadrian as their Heir and son.
Severus was shocked that Tom was wanted to announce that he was his Consort, but had known since Hadrian's birth that Tom had wanted the world to know about Hadrian.
Hadrian started to panic, after all his father's followers had been trying to kill him for most of his life. They might go so far as claim that he had cast a spell or slipped the Dark Lord a potion to get close enough to kill him. Hadrian even pointed all of these points out to his parents.
After everything was explained to Hadrian that it would be worse if they didn't make the announcement about him and someone from the Inner Circle found him. After assuring Hadrian that everything would be alright his parents sent him off to get ready to be presented as the Dark Prince.
As Lucius donned his robes he considered how best to present Draco to the Dark Lord after the meeting as the best candidate to either become the Consort or Heir to his Lord. Because Hogwarts had yet to start up for the year Draco would also be attending this meeting.
Once both father and son were appropriately dressed for the meeting they took the port key to the Dark Lords manner. Seeing the doors to the throne room still closed the two Malfoy's milled about chatting with other Inner Circle members who were also high in the Ministry of Magic's rankings. Among them were Minister Fudge's advisers and accountants that handled the budget of the MOM. Also in this select group were several Unspeakables.
The doors to the throne room slowly opened and the Death Eaters filed in and took their places, bowing to The Dark Lord. After everyone had taken their place The Dark Lord stood up and spoke.
"My friends and loyal followers, we have much to celebrate tonight. We now have the support of several politically powerful light wizarding houses in the Wizengamot and the Board of Governors at Hogwarts."
Cheers rang out throughout the room at this announcement. The truth was that they knew that magic had to have Light, Dark, and Gray to survive. This balance was what kept their world going as it should, but after the defeat of Grindalwald, Dumbledore had started to mess up the balance of Magic, slowly killing it.
"Also" Tom continued after the cheers died down some "I would like to announce that I have taken a Consort and did so 15 years ago." as he said this Lucius realized that his plans could be in jeopardy.
"My Lord who is it you have taken?" Bellatrix called out to her Lord and friend.
Tom smiled and lifted his hand out to Severus and said as he took his hand "My dear Severus is my Consort and love."
At this announcement Lucius relaxed after all Severus was his friend and Draco was his Godson, so that meant that he had an ally that had his lord's ear to help convince The Dark Lord that Draco was the best person to be the Heir.
"I would also like to present our son and Heir, The Dark Prince: Hadrian" at this announcement Lucius smile he had adopted became fixed. The doors opened and with Nagini draped across his shoulders stood Harry Potter.
"This is our son whom Dumbledore stole with the sole intent to use him to kill his mother and myself, and then kill him, all to end the Slytherin family line. I assure you my friends we had a heritage test done with Gringotts to make sure this was the truth."
At this revelation the Death Eaters were in an uproar over learning that Dumbledore had held their Prince captive all this time and had attempted to have them kill him. While all of this was going on Lucius and Draco were still reeling from the shock they had just suffered. Both were now planning on how to get rid of Hadrian, who had walked up to his parents during all of this.
