A.N. This comedic scene is actually canon, and you'll see manga has much to do with future character development- They will all be mostly 90s early 2000 popular manga, but some new ones. I may include other fandoms as I go on. Warning: MUCH OOC in future chapters. If you are not up to that, you can leave, I don't mind.
Ch. 12 : A moment of hilarity in a new team.
I had gone into storyteller mode, not expecting much. We had dug through several interesting manga, and they were all pretty interesting- It wasn't till we got to one that they began to open up- and it was one I didn't expect to have reached them!
It didn't take much persuading on Naruto's part to act out a scene- While Sasuke's role was hilariously foreign to him, he got pretty into it, and Naruto's abilities with Henge made him perfect for the main character.
Everyone thought the idea was fun though, and with lighter hearts we began to play. There was a heaviness I had never realized that was saturating Sasuke's chakra till then, and with it gone the air seemed cleaner for it.
But I was the only one that noticed Kakashi slipping in and beginning to watch. I smothered a chuckle to stay in character.
"Foul sorcerer!" Sasuke cried. "I shall protect the pigtail girl and fair Akane from thy vile magic!" He drew a meter stick we had found in the classroom from his side.
"Idiot!" Naruto cried, leaping up to the table top, dodging the 'strike' from the 'blade'. "The pigtailed girl doesn't exist!"
Sasuke created a genjutsu of a pool of water splashing Naruto, and seamlessly without hand signs, Naruto turned into a modified Oiroke no jutsu, with wet hair and a shorter stature. Naruto scowled at Sasuke. "See what you did now!" 'she' said, brushing at the 'water'. "Now I gotta change back!"
Sasuke ran towards Naruto, arms open. "Pigtailed girl! You have returned! I shall permit you to date me!" I rushed in, blocking Sasuke's embrace of Naruto. "Stupid stick boy no date Airen!" before beaming at Naruto. "Airen take Xian-Pu on much good date? Ignore stupid stick boy and violent tomboy!"
Breaking character, both in story and in real life, Sasuke fell down laughing. "Naruto, Haruno fit that bill exactly!" Naruto couldn't object really, it was true after all. So he just pouted, his henge dropping.
"Mou! Sakura-chan has a lot of good points!" the blonde exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Like?"
Naruto grew quiet, and a long moment passed. ".. I dunno," he finally admitted, with slumped shoulders. "She is sorta mean, I guess."
Sasuke snorted. "She claims to 'love' me, but doesn't even treat me like a person."
I shrugged. "Sakura has potential, but she essentially grew up as a sheltered, pampered civilian. So while we are adults, she may never grow up; Lack of serious commitment will end a ninja career pretty quickly, ne?"
Sasuke blanched, knowing exactly what I meant, while Naruto simply seemed confused.
"I feel like we should do something about it, now.." Sasuke said softly, looking uneasy at admitting any "compassion" for his fangirl.
"We will if it becomes an issue," I agreed. Sasuke's features relaxed, the tenseness leaving his frame.
"Mouu," Naruto complained. "Are we going to play Ranma ½ anymore?"
I shook my head. "Nope, sensei is finally here." Kakashi released his disguise genjutsu the. I suppose with the mask Kakashi wore, it would have been visually hard to take in his surprise, but it near radiated off him to his senses.
"My first though of you is.." he said, hiding a waiver of disturbance in his voice, "You are all incredibly strange."
Sasuke looked to deny this, but Naruto and I flashed a grin at each other; he knew what I was going to say, and always have.
"Better weird than boring!" we chimed in perfect unison, high fiving. Sasuke smirked, and nodded.
And so was our first meeting with Kakashi-sensei.
A.N. Work, illness, stress, work, downtime, work, illness. Chaining these one after another makes it hard to write, let alone when my muse deserts me. ILY all though and truly wish I had the energy to keep up my stories.
Right now I'm sitting here with an exhausted fever. x-x Lonnng day.
