"Raid"
A/N: Fixed boy.
The next day we geared up and took an airship to Beacon where the teams I had asked for were standing in their groups talking. "Listen up hunters." I boomed, they all fell in line shoulder to shoulder.
I didn't have a strike group I had an army in front of me, my army. "Last night the White Fang took us prisoner and critically injured my teammate, Stone." team GGRN exchanged concerned looks.
"The White Fang has six bases in Vale and we are going to take them all down, today, I'm not going to order you to help me but I am asking for volunteers." Everyone took a moment to consider and then stepped forward, I couldn't help but smile.
"Ok then, here are your targets." I sent each team the location of a different base, "Weiss, Yang, my former teammate Panther, and I will take the sixth location in the southeast outside the kingdom, now move!" I barked.
Ozpin gave us an airship to use as a transport to the white fang base and we were told the trip would be about fifteen minutes so we settled in.
"Why didn't you tell us you had an entire team and not just Stone and you?" Weiss asked. "My guess is it was Jake's idea, he would have wanted you to know the least amount about him as possible, although from the looks of it he failed miserably." Panther answered her.
my scroll started to ring, it was Ruby. "How is he?" I asked, "They did surgery on him to stop the bleeding and have him stable now but they say he needs a lot of prosthetics if he's going to continue hunting." she sounded tired.
"Oh, hang on." I heard Ruby say, "You shouldn't be up." in the background then a different voice spoke into the scroll. "Cole, this might be it for me and if so you do not hesitate to kill them if you have the chance." Stone spoke very quickly then Ruby spoke again, "They gave him a sedative but he's burning through it, I'm going to get him settled." I heard Stone say something in the background again. "No, I'm not leaving you, Hawk can manage the team without me." she said.
"Just keep me posted and don't leave him no matter what." I said, "no problem." she said with her old confident tone back in her voice.
"He's going to make it but they probably won't be back for a while." I said, Stone never took anything seriously, he made attempts but he could brush anything off but that last thing he said was all serious.
We didn't kill people until recently and the weird thing is I don't feel any different at all, I won't kill Adam or Neo unless I have no other option, no matter what Jacob says. I walked to the edge and looked out of the airship seeing a destroyed city, "Mountain Glenn." Yang said walking up behind me, "What a waste of life, set us down" I said. We descended down but stopped just before touching the ground then jumped out.
"Weiss, Yang, from now on whatever Panther or I say you do immediately no questions asked, we are in enemy territory so we make as little noise as possible." I said to them. They nodded "Yang, I never asked how you found us?" I said, "After I found your vehicle I drove back to the safe house and saw them dragging you out and putting you in a black van, I just followed the van and waited near your position scouting the place out." Yang answered.
That made sense but I still needed to know how we get there, "How do we get down into the tunnels?" I asked Yang, "There is a tunnel east of here that they use to funnel troops underground." she said, making hand gestures imitating driving down a ramp. This wasn't going to be an easy job, in fact this was probably the hardest mission I've done, but no turning back now I guess.
Panther spends an abnormal amount of time in the wild tracking so his instincts are going to be better than ours. He can operate alone without making a sound and can imitate many different animal noises so it would be in my best interest to utilize these skills "Ok, Panther, I need you to scout ahead and see what you find. If you find a pack of grimm ahead of us whistle, if you find white fang imitate a crow caw, and if you spot anything else make an owl coo." I said starting to walk forward.
I looked back and he was gone, along with Oliver, there were two things I could say about my team, they are extremely efficient and they do what I say without question.
We walked for about two hours in silence before Weiss spoke, "So I met you, Stone, and Panther but who is River?" she asked.
"River is probably the strangest of us, as unlikely as it is, she spends a lot of time doing jobs with her three brothers; Python, Cobra, and Viper. She and her brothers are snake faunus making them extremely hard to hit and they can strike faster than Stone. she likes using two knives that she can dip in different dust elements making them even more deadly. She split off after her brother's fourth member died." I told them.
I almost didn't hear the whistle while I was talking, we took cover behind what used to be a wall to a building and saw a giant pack of maybe sixty Beowolves. "What do we do?" whispered Weiss urgently, "We get to work." I said, standing up and pulling out my mace. I walked forward with Weiss and Yang staying close behind me, one wolf saw me and charged only to have an arrow strike it dead, seemingly from thin air.
I pointed the top of my mace at a group of charging wolves and pulled the trigger on the grip throwing the wolves into the nearest building before disappearing. Weiss stabbed through line in one quick rush while Yang sent projectiles flying at any that tried to reach her, all the while any stragglers were hit with arrows to the head.
After the herd was thinned down an arrow hit the middle and started to spray white dust in every, I turned to Yang and she nodded, she sent a blast toward the dust and the remains of the pack were frozen solid. "You could have started with that you know!" I yelled, "I only have so many of those, I don't like to waste them but I was getting bored!" I heard come from the top level of what was left of a building fourth yards in front of me. I sometimes forgot my team had no attention span. . .
After another couple hours of walking we set up camp in an old building and I took first watch. I think of my team as anti-social, and they kind of are, but when they do talk to people they are actually very charismatic.
I can't believe my team grew apart on my watch, we were unstoppable when we fought together but I guess it just happens. One thought after the other entered my head about my team and also team RWBY, I guess we can drop the fifth and sixth members of RWBY lie we had been telling everyone, Ozpin said once Stone and Ruby returned our bodyguard assignment was over and we could leave if we wanted. . . Ok that settles it I'm reforming SHRP and from this moment on SHRP and RWBY are one in the same, we watch each other's backs and besides Stone and I aren't leaving our girls.
I heard someone talking in the street below. "We should get back before that pack of Beowolves find us." it was a White Fang member that said it.
Panther I swear I'm going to kill you. I crept over to my three sleeping companions and shook each awake and pressed my finger to the lower part of my faceplate and pointed to the edge of the building. We crawled over and saw the White Fang members enter a building, "That's it, ok we stay quiet and stay close, oh and also." I turned and punched Panther in the face. "Ow, what the hell was that for!" he furiously whispered, "That's for not seeing them when you scouted the area." he grunted and looked away.
We dropped down and rushed over to the building. I looked inside seeing a staircase going down "Panther stay back a bit; a glowing white tiger is going to be easy to spot in a dark cavern." I said, then started to slowly walk down the cavern into the depths.
Stone's Point of view
"Mr. Stone your results are back and I found something odd to say the least." said a doctor walking in, "We got x-rays from Vale General Hospital, your knee injuries that you had then are still there now and have not repaired themselves." he showed me the pictures.
"My aura should have healed them by now, why hasn't it?" I was puzzled, "That's what we can't figure out, we think that it's been trying, your aura levels are significantly lower than everyone other hunter we've treated because it's trying to fix those knees. Since you don't seem to experience any pain from them I believe your aura has been holding them together in a way. In fact, fifty percent of your aura is being used to keep you together and you have only been able to use fifty percent for the last few months, once we put in the augmentations you will be at full power again." he said reassuringly. "Wait, so you beat Neo, Adam, the girl in black, and an army of White Fang with only fifty percent of your full power!" Ruby was stunned.
"So, how soon can I get these augmentations?" I somewhat eagerly asked. "Tomorrow if our engineers finish them by then, but there is also another matter, the arm you've been using to replace yours was from an Atlassian knight and not meant to be used with human nerves. Your nerves have been damaged because of this and a proper synthetic arm would have to be attached at the shoulder to function properly." he finished.
"So basically, you have to take the rest of the arm or soon I won't be able to use it at all." I said bluntly, he nodded, "Well then do it." I said sitting up. "I will begin preparations, also what color for the eye?" he asked, "Electric blue." I answered then he left turned and left the room.
"Ruby, go home I can handle it from here and when I get back maybe we can go on an actual date or something." I said putting my hand on her shoulder, she had been sitting on the medical bed next to me, which I don't think would normally be allowed but when the nurse asked her to get off she pulled out Crescent Rose and nothing more needed to be said.
"it'll be weeks before I recover from the surgery so I'll be back in three days tops." I said. Ruby smiled. "Actually, while we're here I think I'm going to make my dream weapons while I'm at the most technologically advanced city in the world." I said.
Hawk's point of view
"Ok let's go." I said peaking around the stack of metal crates we were using to conceal ourselves then crouching and moving swiftly toward the train the White Fang was loading with cargo. "Panther, activate stealth." I whispered. "Why the hell didn't you tell me earlier?" he asked, "Because we weren't sneaking into a compound earlier." I answered. He didn't question further and just simply turned an emblem of a black and white wasp on his right shoulder and his green suit turned pure black and I did the same turning my red armor black.
I hopped onto the train when I heard "Hey I got people over here." it was a White Fang member and it wasn't long before we were fighting an army.
Weiss was zipping around with her glyphs trying to hit as many as she could, Yang was breaking bones, Oliver was mauling a large man with a chainsaw, and Panther had turned how bow into a staff and was taking on ten fangs at once. "Apex Predator!" I yelled to Panther then I folded my mace and shot into the air creating a blinding light before unleashing a fiery beam upon the White Fang. The beam didn't do much damage but it did blind the entire cavern giving Panther the opportunity to take out the blinded tangos.
I heard someone say over an intercom, "Everyone get to your stations we are leaving now." then the train started moving.
I grabbed Yang and Weiss then flew onto the top of the caboose seeing Panther and Oliver hop up behind us. I opened what I thought was the hatch to get inside only to find a bomb, "move!" I yelled, we jumped to the next car but Panther dropped down to detach the car "It decoupled itself." he yelled up. A sudden realization came to me, if they could open holes all the way to the city with this train the Grimm would have an easy opening into the city.
"Panther take Weiss and Yang down below, do everything you can to stop this train I'm going to keep their attention up here." I said seeing a mech hop onto the roof, they nodded and did.
Panther's point of view
We dropped into the train car and ran into the next one, standing in our way was a girl with pink and brown hair holding a parcel "You guys go on ahead, she's mine." said Yang standing strait up. It's obvious they know each other and it'll probably be best to let them settle this, "Gotcha." I said, sliding and pulling her legs out from under her with my staff then I stood and kept running with Weiss.
We entered the next room to find a man in a blue hoodie, with a concealed face, holding a tomahawk. "I got this one." Weiss said, "You wish." said the man with a deep gurgling voice, I ran passed him and into the final train car.
A man in a black bowler hat and white coat stood twirling a cane, "Who are you? I was expecting Hawk or Stone or Blake but I don't know who you are." he said. I recognized him as Roman Torchwick, the man from the wanted posters, "I'm the fourth member of Hawk's team, you can call me Panther." I said crossing my arms, "Are there seriously more of you? I wish your team would just leave me alone, I mean seriously I just escaped and here you are ready to put me ba-." before he finished his sentence I shot an arrow into his chest. Why do they always have to give speeches when they could just shoot and be done with it? I wondered as I walked to into the final car then I was hit by something and knocked out.
Hawk's point of view
I saw the end of the tunnel approaching fast and braced for a hard hit.
I opened my eyes feeling the pain all over my body from the impact. A yellow figure with light brown camo covering it was standing over me. She was wearing a bulletproof vest over waterproof jacket, armor plated jeans covered her legs, and her head was covered by a balaclava, a headset, and black ballistic goggles. "Seriously, I leave for year and you let Vale go to hell." said the figure, with a slight hiss. "You didn't used to hiss, River." I said shaking my head and getting up.
"No, I didn't, I just wanted to see if you remembered." she said, as normally as a human would, walking past me to a large amount of grimm that were standing in the town square with us. She got to work, swiftly dodging every attack that came her way then cutting their throats with her two knives. I looked around seeing a mess of debris with Panther, Yang, and Weiss laying in the middle of the square unconscious. I looked up to see a large amount of airships along with a bullhead dropping off the rest of the raid party, all twenty of them. It was time we got to work too.
