Romano and her grandfather had finally agreed to allow Ludwig to stay over for the weekend, rather than the other way around. He had never actually stepped foot in her home, only having seen snippets of her bedroom from when they had talked over webcam. She was so o there she was, stood on the balcony of her house, the one that faced the main road. She had wanted to look nice for him, but with morning sickness and the realisation that she had put on weight, she had given up.
She still wasn't showing, her stomach was still flat, just with a bit of extra chub around it. It seemed like it was supposed to be normal, but that didn't make her feel any better about herself. It was those damned double servings, she was sure.
She leant against the vine covered railing. watching the occasional car go past, but none of them seemed to be her German's little car, making her pout. She was ready to give up, when she saw the exact car she was hoping for. He was here! She lept up, careful not to stub her toes on the harsh tiling that covered the floor.
She scurried off of the balcony, a wide grin on her face. She ran past Romano, hearing a few curse words form him as she nearly knocked him off balance.
She waited right in front of the doorway, just waiting for him to knock or ring the door bell. She saw his shadow approaching through the tiny tinted window in the door, giving up on waiting, she threw it open. The Italian pulled Ludwig into a hug. "I missed you, did you get lost?" Her mind was a fluffy of thoughts, only calming when she looked up from his chest to his eyes.
He wrapped his arms around her, kissing the top of her head. "And hello to you too."
"Oh! Yeah... Oh I didn't even invite you in!" She pulled away, taking hold of his hand.
She didn't give him much time to grab his bag, she was already dragging him upstairs to her room, once again past Romano.
The look her brother gave her boyfriend was stone cold. While she had forgiven him, clearly Romano still blamed the man for Felicia's condition. She didn't care though, that was really just Romano, being Romano.
Ludwig muttered a quick few words of hello, before he was brought into her room. "I'm so glad you're here! I've been waiting forever!" She finally let go of his hand and folded hers together, waiting for him to say something.
"Well in answer to your last question, yes I did get lost." He sighed, placing his bag onto the floor. He gave her room a quick look around.
She knew that it was a sharp contrast in comparison to his, but he'd have to get used to it. Something told her, that her family would refuse to have her leave for Germany on a permanent basis. They'd have to stay here, if her grandfather agreed to it.
"Oh... Well you're here now!" She resisted the urge to hug him again. She'd missed him so much, having to deal with going to the doctors, and then the whole ordeal with her brother. She was glad that she could finally just be with him.
He gave a smirk and sat down on the bed. She quickly followed him, sitting in his lap. She crossed her legs and looked into his eyes, moving in for a kiss. He wrapped his arms tight around her, pulling her deeper into the kiss.
It was such a relief to just kiss him. All the doubts of him wanting to leave her after the baby had been born were gone in that split second. She could tell from the way he intertwined his fingers into her hair, that he really had struggled being away from her. Even while she was like this.
They pulled away, only for lack of breath. "... I've missed you..." She pressed her head into his chest, his arms still around her.
"I know... You keep saying." He smirked.
"Hey... I'm the one who's had a hard time without you..." She pouted, grabbing one of his hands to place onto her stomach. "I guess I should say that we missed you!"
He chortled, moving his hand only slightly around her stomach. "It just feels the same.. Other than-"
"Pudgier... I know." She licked her tongue out, irked that he had already found out. "But it's baby pudge." She sighed.
"Yeah... Yeah I suppose you're right..." He moved his hand to her head, gently ruffling it through his fingers. His attempts to alleviate how she felt only made her feel worse.
She got up out of his lap, going to get the picture of the ultra sound. Yes she'd sent it to him via text before, but he was yet to see it. She dropped back onto the bed, handing him the little slip of paper.
"... Do you feel like it's real yet?" The Italian turned her head to the side, waiting for him to respond
"I suppose that now... I have no choice." He was rather quiet as he looked down at the image. She couldn't quite make out what he was thinking, his face was just a blank slate. "But... It's going to get better."
He seemed optimistic, which she revelled in. The two of them could take this on together, so long as they were together. She moved back towards him, leaning against his shoulder. "Well you're going to be a papa..."
"Vati."
"What?" She was confused, puffing up her cheeks while she waited for him to elaborate.
"I'm going to be a Vati. That's father in German." He looked straight ahead to the door, taking note of the baby grow that was on the back of the door. "And that's their little outfit?"
"It's the one I picked out before Roma ran off." She was so content with it, her feelings clearly showing on her face. She moved back, stretching out on the bed. "I wanna cuddle now though... We can cuddle while we talk about baby things..."
He sighed, rising up off of the bed to pull his jacket and boots off. Soon his thick arms were being wrapped around the Italians waist. She leant in to his face. Going in for another kiss. She slipped her tongue into his mouth. She tried not to grin through the kiss as he quickly re-cooperated.
It had been so long since they had just been so close. Probably not since the night their little bambino had been conceived. But she still welcomed his embrace. She finally pulled away, gasping for breath.
The two spent a good long while like this. Talking, pressing lips together, then being stunned into silence by the passion and heat of the moment. She was in heaven. excited, she was now about 9 weeks along. Romulus, her grandfather, still knew nothing about her condition. They had agreed that they would tell him this weekend, together.
