Chapter Thirteen: The Aftermath

Later, Aikou blinks as she sits up looking at her brother, who was passed out on the hospital bed. Anyone who looked at Aikou could tell that she had been crying from the redness of her eyes. She asks "yes Kiba-kun?"

Kiba sits next to Aikou and says "the doctors told me to take you away from here. Its not good to sit around here all day." He wraps an arm around her shoulders and says "mom said you can stay with us until he wakes up. Naruto left with a guy to go find the next Hokage, she is suppose to be a great healer."

Aikou says "I know. Tsunade-chan-sama is a great healer. But I don't know what to do… Sasuke is training, my friends in Suna are busy, Kakashi is out, Naruto is gone with Jiriya to find Tsunade, and everyone else is helping rebuild the village. there's nothing I can do to help." She grips the edge of the chair she was sitting in and says "I need to be helpful but I can't!"

Kiba stands up and pulls Aikou up before saying "come on I know something that you can do." He pulls her out of the room heading out of the hospital. He looks at her and says "Hinata is feeling the exact same way." He smiles and says "and Kurenai-sensei told Hinata to help the children who lost parents out."

Aikou says "But I'm not good with children!"

Kiba nods and says "true but you are great with dogs and a lot of people had pet dogs that need taken care of and are at my clan's house getting treated." He grins and says "See you can help the dogs and with your training in healing you might be able to help out more than my sister and mom!"

Aikou smiles and says "alright Kiba-kun." She walks up next to him as he dropped her hand.

Kiba says "but first we have to make a quick stop to tell Sasuke were you are so he doesn't worry." He smiles and says "yes I know about you two and I know he shows more around you than anyone else."

Sasuke sighs and mutters "I still miss the one behind the rock." He stands up straight looking around and finds Kiba and Aikou standing out of range. He walks over to them and asks "what?"

Kiba says "Aikou will be staying at my place helping my mom and sister take care of dogs." He smiles and says "I brought her here so that you will know and won't worry." He looks at Aikou and says "When your done here come to my house." He then leaves.

Aikou looks at Sasuke and says "yes I want to help out. I'm just glad that Kiba-kun thought of something before I could think of anything that would probably get me killed."

Sasuke walks up to Aikou and wraps his arms around her and says "don't worry Zack-sensei will wake up."

Aikou nods and wraps her arms around him and says "I just don't know what to do. Everyone I care for is busy and I'm just stuck waiting… the council won't give me any missions since they found me passed out in the forest with you guys."

Sasuke says "Sorry about that. I didn't want you going on any missions is the reason why I knocked you out." he lifts her head and kisses her holding her close.

Aikou kisses him back gasping when he started to walks forward forcing her to walk backwards until her back hit a tree.

Sasuke breaks the kiss when they both needed air and pants out "you will have to decide sometime but for now you can have both."

Aikou smiles and laughs softly before saying "your only saying that because Gaara isn't here and you get me all to yourself."

Sasuke nods and says "damn right." he gently kissed her and says "I hope you pick me in the end."

Aikou asks "why can't you two just share me? I truly wouldn't mind sharing with both of you." she smiles and knew the only reason why she wouldn't mind sharing both of them was hopefully she could get some yoai action from them.

Sasuke chuckles and says "come on I'll walk you to Kiba's house." He moves from pinning her to the tree and says "I'm glad you have friends here that don't try to make a move on you whenever I'm not around."

Aikou laughs and says "its only playful stuff with Kiba-kun but you know that Kiba-kun knows that we are together."

Sasuke nods and says "yeah and then of course if any of the guys that are you friends get caught by your fan boys, the ones I haven't scared away yet, get yelled at later by the fan boys" He wraps an arm around her shoulders as they start walking and fall into a calm and peaceful silence.

A few weeks later after the fifth was found and brought back and Sasuke left and everything like that, Aikou & Zack where standing in Tsunade's office listening to their mission. Zack asks "that's all. your just sending the two of us?"

Tsunade looks at the siblings and says "yes. I know you two work best together and the sand siblings are out there too but I need you two to make sure they aren't to hurt or anything."

The siblings nod and leave after Zack says "alright we will leave after we finished packing."

Outside Aikou asks "Do you think they could have stopped Sasuke?"

Zack looks at Aikou and says "Don't worry sis he loves you despite what he says or do and he will return if only for you." he smiles and says "now come on lets hurry up and pack. Medical and food only."

Aikou nods and both siblings head home to pack.

Aikou was kneeling next to Chouji healing him while talking to him to keep him awake. After she was done she looked at her brother and says "I took care of what I can. Send back a bird to get a medical team."

Zack nods and summons a bird and giving it the message and then watches it fly back. He looks at Aikou and asks "think you can handle more running?"

Aikou laughs and says "of course I am what I am." she stands up and after putting a simple earth shield around Chouji heads off following their scents. She stops next to Neji and mutters "Damn Hyuuga you get banged up pretty bad."

Neji grunts and asks weakly "what are you doing here?"

Aikou starts healing him and says "rescue for the rescue team." She smiles at him and says "relax and keep talking." And Neji does so while Aikou works on healing him. Aikou shakes her head looking at her brother when he came and asks "again?"

Zack chuckles and says "alright I'll finish up here you go on to the others." He then takes over doing what he can of medical healing.

Aikou appears on the tree next to Shikamaru and Temari and asks "anyone hurt?"

Temari looks at Aikou and says "why are you here shouldn't you be resting?"

Shikamaru says "just a broken finger nothing that you should waste your chakra on." He looks at Aikou and asks "what about Neji and Chouji?"

Aikou says "healed them the best that I can… a team of medical ninja should be with Chouji right now and Zack-nii-san is with Neji." She grabbed his hand and healed the broken finger before he could protest and asks "are you two gonna come with me to the others?"

Temari says "I'll come."

Shikamaru sighs and says "its my responsibility so I'll be coming."

Aikou nods and says "do try to keep up. I'm moving fast to make sure nobody dies." With that the three set off finding Kiba and Kankuro next.

Temari went to Kankuro making sure he wasn't hurt while Shikamaru and Aikou were next to Kiba. Aikou took care of Kiba before looking at Akamaru and says "don't worry Kiba-kun he will be fine." She then set to healing Akamaru.

Kankuro asks "how many people do you like?"

Temari hits Kankuro in the head and says "Be nice little brother. They are only friends."

Aikou nods and says "Akamaru is just sleeping now and perfectly healed." She smiles at Kiba and says "working with your family on the ninja dogs really did pay off."

Kiba nods and says "alright. where are we headed to now?" he looks at Shikamaru.

Aikou says "you should head back. meet up with Zack-nii-san and head back to the village."

Shikamaru says "you coming with us if we do."

Aikou shakes her head and says "no my mission was to make sure you guys came back alive and that means all of you. I still need to find Lee and Naruto." She looks at the ground and whispers "and Sasuke-kun hopefully."

Temari pulls Aikou into a hug and says "don't worry if Naruto could get threw to Gaara then he can get threw to the Uchiha."

Shikamaru says "Then its settled we are coming with you Aikou-chan." He looks at the two girls but mostly at Aikou.

Aikou nods and says "alright lets move then." With that they took off heading for the others.

Aikou looks at Lee and Gaara before moving over to Lee and places a hand on his shoulder while checking to make sure he wouldn't be too hurt before snapping "you idiot! Do you know how worried everyone is about you? even Sakura-chan is worried about you!"

Lee chuckles and says "sorry Aikou-chan but I had to help."

Aikou shakes her head and says "your lucky you didn't mess up the healing that Tsunade-sama did." she turns looking at Gaara and asks "are you hurt?"

Gaara glares and snaps "no why would I be?"

Aikou sighs and moves over next to Gaara and says "glad to know you're the same if only a little grouchy that you had a challenge." She gives him some of her chakra before standing up and asks "Where did Naruto go Lee?"

Lee points to where Naruto went and says "Aikou-chan before you go I have to say this. don't expect Sasuke to be the same."

Aikou says "I know and I'll handle it." she looks at the group and says "you guys should get back to the village. Zack-nii-san should be coming soon or someone will." she then dashes off towards Naruto and Sasuke.

Aikou gasps as she saw Naruto on the ground almost dead and Sasuke walking away. She looked into Sasuke's eyes when he turned to her and says "you do know that despite you doing this I still care for you and probably always will." She walks up to Sasuke and gently touches his face ignoring his grunt and gently gives him a kiss. She steps back when he didn't return the kiss and noticed the hurt in his eyes. She smirks and says "of course I have to give you hell for leaving me."

Sasuke glares and snaps "why did you have to come?" He pulls her back so their bodies where pressed together and snaps "tell me."

Aikou says "I was the only nin with medical experience that could do something like this considering that I'm half demon."

Sasuke growls and kisses her passionately and says "you aren't a demon. No matter what you aren't."

Aikou pushes him away, closes her eyes, and winces in pain as her ears disappeared and fuzzy black wolf ears appear on her head and a fuzzy black wolf tail appears behind her. She opens her eyes looking at him and says "yes I am. The werewolf turned me into a half wolf demon when I became powerful enough."

Sasuke gently touches the ears before turning away from her and dashes off leaving Aikou alone with Naruto.

Aikou stares after him before turning to Naruto to see him glowing red with chakra from the nine tailed demon and she walks over after the glow stopped and kneels next to him glad to see that he was perfectly fine.

Naruto groans and sits up asking "Where is he?" He blinks and looks at Aikou and blinks again asking "is it me or do you have dog ears and a tail?"

Aikou smiles and says "I do. Come on lets get back you perfectly fine. Aside from low on energy."

Naruto nods and stands up with Aikou's help and says "Alright." He leans on Aikou as they head back to the village.

Sasuke stood just behind the tree line watching them and saw the tear that went down Aikou's face and he felt himself wanting to follow them to forget about the power he needed just to be with his friends and loved ones. He walks to where the tear that Aikou had cried laid and saw it form into a round crystal and he looked up to see Zack standing in a tree watching him.

Zack looks down at Sasuke and says "you hurt her deeply. Don't expect her to be the same when you return. Keep the crystal as a reminder of who you are truly and who you need to return for." He then turns and left to follow after his hurting sister.

Well.. this is the end of it for real.. unless ya know I get votes or demands for a squeal. But it won't be until after I get further into my Black Roses story that I start it.. maybe.. as long as I don't hit a writers block for Black Roses.
