Whoo.. I think this is the longest thing I've ever written, at a whopping nearly 5,400 words in the chapter! As for something that comes later (you'll see what), I hope I didn't make the explanation too odd. But, I figure that it's fiction, so.. Yeah. There are also a lot of topics in this, so I hope I didn't load TOO many in it. Anyways, enjoy!
The next morning, Weiss found herself waking up MUCH later than what would be considered her usual time. She was up… at eight in the morning? What an indecent hour! However, she felt that she didn't mind as much when she heard a contented sigh to her right that made her heart beat just a little faster. Octopus Ruby was back in in full force, only with the added treat of the soft nudity and adorably tussled hair to accompany it. Weiss yawns quietly, smoothing down as much of her long, messy hair as she can in her current position before taking a look over the bed. It was full of evidence of the rather passionate night they had, their legs intertwined in each both other's and in the mess of sheets that clumped against their legs. Clothes were haphazardly shed around the room, Ruby's cloak (which had been worn by Weiss and only made Ruby quicker in stripping everything EXCEPT the cloak off her body) laying loosely around the pale woman's shoulders.
She had actually been surprised by her fiancé's ferocity last night, the (slightly!) taller woman seeming to be incredibly affected by the woman wearing her cloak. Well, it also might have been that she gave basically a weapon lover's wet-dream performance with Crescent Rose.
As Weiss muses about this to herself, absentmindedly stroking down her fiancé's side and not realizing that Ruby's trademark snoring has ceased, she barely hears the soft yawn and purr beside her. "Y'know, thoughtful is a cute look on you…"
Weiss looks over to find Ruby's sleepy smile being directed at her, the redhead leaning forward to peck a few kisses at her lips. Her slightly calloused fingers move to gently trace across Weiss' collarbone, causing a light hum to come from the former heiress. "Whatcha thinking about, sweetie?"
"Oh, just about last night… I really didn't expect that last thing you did…"
"Yeah, I thought you wouldn't, but it seemed to go over pretty well… You certainly said you liked it loud enough."
"Oh, hush, you."
Ruby is silent for a moment, seeming to get lost in her own thoughts for a moment as her smile stays firmly on her face. "You're cute in a cloak, you know… You should do it more often."
"And, have you practically wet yourself with every swish? I don't think so."
Ruby pouts, booping Weiss' nose lightly and shaking her head. "That's only 'cus you gave me the show, first. Can you blame me, really? I've got the sexiest fiancé ever and she's doing all manner of good stuff with my weapon… Who WOULDN'T have reacted like that? It's not like I'd jump you ALL the time. Just every once in a while."
"Uh-HUH. I hear you, Ruby Rose."
Ruby is silent for a moment, biting on her lip a bit before speaking again. "Hey, Weiss?"
"Hm?"
"Um… Want to talk about the wedding? There's kinda something I've been wanting to ask for a while… "
The pale woman raises an eyebrow, a slow smile coming to her face. "You want to talk about the wedding? Right now? While I'm covered in remnants of sweat and my hair's a mess? Really, Ruby? Really?"
"Um… Yes?"
"Alright, but you know the rules for discussing the wedding, Ruby."
"I… I do?"
"Of course you do, you dolt. Each question answered gets the one asked a scoop of ice cream." Weiss says softly, giving her own boop of Ruby's nose and starting to sit up with a smirk.
Ruby mirrors Weiss' expression, shaking her head before bounding out of bed and searching around for her robe. Ruby had to admit to herself that she hadn't been the biggest fan of robes (despite being a big fan of cloaks) before dating Weiss, thinking the articles of clothing to be much too prim and proper for her liking. That was before she had slept with Weiss and tried hers on just for the fun of it.
She had fallen in love, then.
She had worn Weiss' robe all morning the first time she put it on, cooing about how warm and snuggly it was until the former heiress had promised to buy her one if she would 'kindly give the robe back, for I do not wish to walk around with no clothes on. You have your own things to put on, you dolt'. At least, that was the gist of what she had said. Ruby had been too comfortable to catch ALL of what she had said. True to her word, Weiss had gone out to purchase a monogrammed, personalized, silkilized, RED robe that had Ruby's name on the left breast.
Needless to say, Ruby wore the robe quite a bit.
The redhead notices that Weiss is starting to undo the cloak, quickly putting up her hand to stop her fiancé from doing so. So fast, in fact, that rose petals drift lazily in the air afterwards. "No."
"What?"
"No."
"Ruby, what are you-"
"Keep the cloak on."
"What?"
"Keep the cloak on, you look hot. Just for now?"
"Ruby, that's-"
"Ah!"
"You're being-"
"Ahp-Ahp!"
"You don't REALLY expect me to-"
"C'moonnn… Do I have to do it?"
"Do what? What are you talking abou-" Weiss' eyes suddenly widen in realization, but by the time she moves to turn away, it is too late.
Ruby has the widest eyes imaginable, shiny and nearly to the brim with tears. Her hands are clasped together, resting on her heart, as her body slightly sways. Her bottom lip juts out adorably, the slightest quivering to it as small whimpers come from her. It's the most evil thing Weiss has ever seen in her life.
"Please, Weiss? Please?"
"N-No, don't look at me like that, you-"
"Weiss.. W-Why aren't you looking at me?"
"No, no, no-"
"Weeeiiisss…" Oh, GOD, now she's whining.. Normally, any manner of whining would elicit an immediate 'no' from the pale woman. But, when Ruby made that face, she became an instrument of adorable. Evil, evil, EVIL adorable. It isn't long before she caves completely. She can already hear Yang making an obnoxious whipping noise.
"Fine! Okay! I'll wear the cloak around instead of a robe! Just stop that pouting!"
"Yay! Thanks, Weiss, you're the best!"
"I know. But, continue to praise me."
"All hail the great and might Weiss, who satiates her fiancé's unbelievable desire to see her naked with naught but a crimson cloak around her lithe and slender body-" Ruby starts, a dramatic and proper tone coming to her voice as she speaks, her hands making elaborate gestures in the air.
"I was joking, Ruby. You don't have to-"
"-For, she is a being of pure beauty… A goddess among women… Her skin softer and fairer than the whitest of snow, with hair of luscious silkiness and purity… Oh, my Weiss! She makes my heart beat fast and my loins light ablaze in desire!" Ruby says, putting the back of her hand to her forehead. "I am but her little servant when she decides to turn her eyes of sparkling ice to me in wanton desire, the luckiest being on the planet to be graced by her presence in the nights... Oh, my Weiss! The sweetest fruit on the tree of-"
"Ruby!" Weiss interrupts, her face a deep crimson at this point.
"Yes, Weiss~?"
"Shut up."
"That's not very nice, Weiss-y…"
"Then, stop speaking all that embarrassing nonsense, you dolt. Now… Let's get downstairs. I believe you had some things about the wedding to discuss with me?"
"Erm.. Well, kind of just one thing that I think would be… cool and pretty… It's not something I know if you'll like, but I kinda figured… Why not try it out, y'know? See what you think about it, I-"
"Ruby, we can discuss it. It's not as if I'm going to shoot down your ideas… This is just as much your wedding as it is mine. Alright?"
Ruby nods, giving her fiancé a big smile in response. "Yeah… Can't believe it… Just another month and we're gonna be married! I can look at you and refer to you as my WIFE, Weiss Rose~ I'm so excited!"
"As am I, Ruby. As am I." Weiss replies, wrapping the cloak around her body as she and the excitable redhead walk out of the room.
Ruby happens to glance at the answering machine as they pass by it downstairs, seeing many messages flashing back at her with a dull light. She raises her eyebrow a bit, turning her head back with questioning eyes. "Weiss, what's with all the-"
"They're from the Schnee Dust Corporation."
"What? Really? What did they want?"
"They seem to want me to take over the company, now that my parents have been taken out of the picture. Very enthusiastically. I know the company well, all it's ins and outs, as I was groomed to take it over when they stepped down... I'm the best suited, in some of the more influential board member's eyes. But, they've been very hush-hush about asking me, not wanting to ruin the image of the company by asking in public. It might cause a few raised eyebrows for them to come right up to me not a month after the deaths of the owners... like they wanted it to happen, or something equally ridiculous. Everybody who's anybody should know that my parents were psychotic, by now."
"Huh."
"What? What's 'huh'?"
"Are you gonna do it?"
Weiss sighs, shifting the cloak around her more snugly. "I don't know. I keep asking myself what I would even DO with the company. Sure, the Schnee Dust Corporation is a leader in technology of all kinds… That part is fine with me. I can do that quite well. But, it makes money off the blood, sweat, and tears of it's workers. Especially faunus workers… I don't want to be a part of that."
"Maybe you don't have to be."
"What?"
"Maybe, instead of taking control of a company with blood on it's hands, you're taking control of a company that you can change for the better. You're not your parents, Weiss. You're DEFINITELY not your mother. If you take control… maybe you can make the company clean of the blood that it's predecessors brought about. Not sayin' it'll be easy... But, then again, you've never liked things easy, have you?"
Weiss nods slowly, mulling over Ruby's words. "I'll still have to think about it. I mean, that's a pretty drastic undertaking and it would take a lot of my time and effort to achieve. But… You're right. If anyone could make that happen, it's Weiss Rose." She takes a small smile as her head looks back to her lover. "But, enough of that for now, you had something you wanted to discuss over ice cream?"
"Yes, yes I did." Ruby responds, giving a happy nod of her head.
As they reach the kitchen, Ruby moves to the kitchen and plucks a small container of vanilla ice cream from the fridge with a light hum. After securing the necessary spoon, she flicks the top off the carton and dips the utensil into the creamy product. "Right, so, are you ready?"
"Am I only going to get one spoonful of ice cream, with only one question?"
"Tell you what, I'll ask a bunch of stupid questions after the big one, all right?"
"Like what?"
"What color napkins do you want at the after party?"
"Well, I'll admit, that IS pretty stupid."
"See?"
"Now, let's get to the main one. The reason you wanted to talk."
"Okay." Ruby says, taking a light breath before nervously continuing. "I want to wear cloaks over our dresses, when we go down the aisle."
"What?"
"I-I, we would still wear the dresses we bought… Just, wear cloaks over them. I-I thought it would be pretty a-and- Okay, I know it's stupid and weird, but hear me out-"
"But, I don't have a cloak, Ruby…" Weiss murmurs with a happy curl of her lips, giving a silent answer that causes the redhead to smile. Though, something's somewhat off about the smile. Something is mixed with it.
"I-I might... I might have one. I-I think it would amazing on you. I-I'll be right back with it, just give me a second."
Without another word, Ruby bolts from the room and a flurry of rose petals drift through the air. Weiss watches them contently, though worries a bit at the slightly altered smile that Ruby had given. She's certain she's seen her smile like that before, but under what circumstance? Was it sadness? Unease? In the time it took for Weiss to try to figure out the complexities of the smile that had been given to her not a few moments prior, Ruby had returned. In her hands, she carried a medium-sized box with a very familiar symbol on it.
A rose.
Weiss' eyes widen slightly as the redhead slowly sets the box on the table, finally remembering when she had seen that smile on Ruby's face. It was one of remembrance. She had only worn it once, that Weiss knew of… It had been when she had gone with her fiancé to visit the grave of Ruby's late mother, Summer Rose. It was a sad smile, but one that remembered all the good times she had. It had taken Ruby a long time to finally get over her mother's death, but she was put at peace when she finally did. And, now, Ruby was giving her that same smile, a small blush tinging her cheeks.
"I… I have this cloak. It's… It used to be my mother's."
"Ruby…"
"I just feel like… This way she can be here in spirit, y'know? See the beautiful lady I'm marryin'.. I-I understand if it's weird and you don't want to… I just- I think you would look beautiful in it. Because, it's white, and when I think of white, I think about you and-"
"Ruby."
"Y-Yes?"
"I would be honored to." Weiss replies quietly. "For you to trust me with something so important to you… With the cloak of your mother… Do you know how much that means to me?"
Ruby smiles softly, her calloused fingers moving over the symbol on the box slowly and carefully. "Well, you're important to me, Weiss. I know I can trust you with this, to wear it with all the pride it deserves."
She opens the top of the box and sets it on the table, pulling out the cloak gently and carefully. "It should fit you… Mom wasn't a very tall woman, despite how tall she acted."
"I'm not short."
"Uh-huh."
"I'm NOT."
"Keep tellin' yourself that, sweetie."
She slowly unfolds the white cloak, letting it fall to its full length. True to Ruby's word, it's not a very tall cloak, but it should be able to fit Weiss' rather small, petite body. The former heiress finds herself softly gasping when she sees the simple beauty of it, the soft white of the outside of the cloak being sharply contrasted with the scarlet red inside. It was practically elegant in form and she imagined that the woman behind the cloak was every bit as beautiful as it was.
"It's beautiful…"
"Y-Yeah… Mom was very pretty. Especially when she wore her cloak around the house after a long hunt. Heh. I used to crawl into her bed and hide under her cloak while she was sleepin'… She'd shoot awake because of my cold feet, and her eyes would get this funny look before she would scoop me up in her arms. I never realized until later that the look in her eyes was her body still being on alert and reacting as if I was a threat for a moment. But, they would always go back to normal when she held me close… She'd whisper tiredly to me that 'mommy was very tired and needed a sleeping buddy' and she'd ask me if I wanted to be hers… The stipulation was that I had to sleep, too…"
Weiss hears Ruby sniffle, the redhead needing to take a moment to wipe her eyes with the back of her hand. A quick raise of her hand told the woman that she was fine and didn't need to be coddled, at the moment.
"Ruby?"
"Yeah, Weiss?"
"This is such a beautiful cloak… Why didn't you ever wear this?"
"I have my own cloak to wear… Heh, my mother made it just for me. Just like she always did, eccentrically making it several sizes too big so I could 'grow into it'... I'd drag it around and trip over it, but it didn't matter." Ruby says, her fingers going to lightly touch the soft, warm fabric currently wrapped around Weiss. "It was mine and I loved it. Sure, that was my mom's cloak… But, that's just it. It was hers. Ol' Red was always mine. She made it for me from scratch and put love in every stitch… It was made just for me. It's special to me in its own way. Not to say the other isn't… It's just… different."
Weiss smiles, walking behind her fiancé and wrapping the crimson cloak around her in a big hug. She gives a small peck to her cheek and rests her chin on Ruby's muscular shoulder. "I understand, and I shall wear it proudly."
"Want to try it on, now?"
"I'm naked."
"Right."
"And, I think I want to save you seeing me in this for the wedding. Just like the dress. Wouldn't want to spoil the surprise, would we?" Weiss asks, gently kissing Ruby's neck.
"No. No, we wouldn't. Weiss?"
"Mm-hm?"
"Thank you."
"No problem, my Rose."
They both stand in contented silence, happily mulling over the events that just transpired. With Weiss feeling special and Ruby feeling touched at the idea of Summer Rose's cloak being worn by her, it was the catalyst for all manner of warm fuzzies. This moment couldn't be more perfect-
RIIIIIIIIIIIINGGG!
"Really? Right now, when we're in the middle of a tender moment?"
"I'm never getting that ice cream, am I?"
Ruby turns back to playfully stick her tongue out at Weiss, moving to give her a quick kiss to the lips. "It's probably the Rose Dust Corporation. I'm gonna go tell 'em off for calling so early in the morning."
"Rose Dust Corporation?"
"You're not a Schnee anymore, are ya?" Ruby says with a goofy wink before moving off to the phone as Weiss shakes her head in amusement.
"Hm. Rose Dust Corporation?" Weiss muses as she's left in the room alone, lightly tapping her finger to her lips.
As Ruby reaches the phone, she realizes the number is different than the one for the Corporation and grins as she picks up the phone. "Hello, my DEAREST~ sister…"
"Damn it, that's my line. I'm gonna sue you."
"Right. You're gonna try to sue me with a shark like Weiss swimming around me?"
"Yeah, well, I got Blake. An' she likes fish, so…"
The sisters exchange a couple moments of laughter, both grinning like idiots at each end. "Well, all our trademark banter aside, what did you want, sis? It must be important for you to be up so early."
"Well… Yeah. I've got big news for ya. And, Blake came back just last night, so we can both tell ya."
"Oh, Blake's back? How was her hunt?"
"Eh. She doesn't wanna talk about it. Said it wasn't that interesting."
"That's odd. With Nora involved, you'd think that it would be anything BUT uninteresting…"
"I know! I wanted to hear all the details, but she was just like 'Meh. Wasn't anything special. Where's the tuna?' when she got home and that's it. Well, that wasn't COMPLETELY it, but I'll save you from the messy details."
"Thank you very much. So, what's the big news?"
"I'm not gonna tell ya over the phone, Rubes. No, you gotta come down here. I'm invitin' you an' Weiss down to hear the news firsthand~"
"Oh, alright. Jeez, this must be BIG."
"Yup, big-big! Now get your scrawny asses down here, toute suite!"
"Alright, alright! We'll be down there in… maybe half an hour, so we can get ready and head out?"
"Alrighty, then! We'll see you then! Say goodbye to Ruby, Blake!"
Ruby chuckles as she hears Blake's voice absentmindedly mumbling out a quiet 'Bye, Ruby', the faunus most likely reading when Yang assaulted her with the phone. "Bye, Blake! See you soon!"
Yang returns to the phone with a giggle. "Alright, Rubes, kisses."
"Yang…"
"Ruby."
"Yang, I'm twenty-three years old…" Ruby whines quietly, looking back to the kitchen for any indication that Weiss was coming.
"And, how old am I, then? You're NEVER too old to give your big sister kisses."
"Yang-"
"Kisses, Ruby."
The redhead sighs, making quiet kissy noises over the phone that no doubt cause her sister to smile widely. Yang makes them back after Ruby, then saying her goodbyes and hanging up the phone. Ruby places the phone down, gasping quietly when she turns back around to find a smirking Weiss leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen.
"So, you still give your sister kisses?"
The two huntresses had arrived at Yang and Blake's house rather quickly, with Ruby INSISTING that they knock loudly to avoid stumbling into any 'funny business' going on. The door opened to reveal a grinning Yang, who promptly pulled her sister in a big hug whilst saying all manner of enthusiastic babble.
"Wow! You guys sure got here quick!"
"Well, when my big sis says she has big news, I don't dawdle!"
"Dawdle? What are you, a fancy girl, now?" Yang asks, leaning in closer to whisper not-so-quietly in Ruby's ear. "Is Weiss givin' you fancy-word lessons, again?"
Weiss pouts, causing both sisters to laugh cheerfully in response. "Aw, Princess, you're still as cute as ever! C'mon in, Blake's makin' tea." The blonde makes a gagging noise while pointing at her throat as she leads them in. "Thank god for my taste buds, she's ALSO makin' coffee."
She walks them over to the couch, gesturing to the couch. "Take a load off, I'm gonna go see how Blake's doin' with the drinks." She says before leaving the room with a hum.
"Well… She seems… happy." Weiss says, watching as Yang disappears into the kitchen.
"Yang's always happy, Weiss."
"No, I mean, more so than usual."
"Oh. Well, yeah. This 'big news' must be real awesome for her to get so excited… I haven't seen her with THIS much pep in her step since Blake said she would be her girlfriend…"
"It certainly appears that way. Maybe they're getting married."
"Huh?"
"Well, maybe our engagement made them realize they wanted to tie the knot."
"No."
"No?"
"No."
"Why, exactly?"
"Yang told me before that she doesn't like the idea of weddings, of having to make that point that she loves Blake. She likes GOING to them and cheering for the couple, like us, but doesn't want one for herself. She said that she didn't see the point of paying money and making a fuss for something she could just say to her every day. They're together and that's all that matters, to her."
"That's surprisingly deep, coming from her… I would have figured that she and Blake would be wed in a shotgun wedding with ACTUAL shotguns. What does Blake think?"
"Yang said that Blake was more than fine with the idea of having no fuss over them. Besides, she'd probably kill Yang if she spent that much on a ring for her. She's too humble for that sorta thing."
"Well, now I feel a little silly."
"Weiss, you don't have to worry. I, unlike my sister, enjoy all the wedding stuff and look VERY forward to walking down the aisle with you, sweetie~" Ruby purrs, leaning forward to give her fiancé a kiss on the lips.
"Sheesh, I can't leave you two alone for a second, can I? This is like Beacon all over again. One second alone and you're makin' out an' all over each other."
Weiss flushes pink, giving a squeaky 'It was just a kiss! We were not making out, you oaf!' that makes the returning Yang laugh as she sets down two mugs of tea on the coffee table near the pair. Blake follows closely behind her, taking her usual spot in the black, comfy chair by the bookshelf. It's nearby the couch, just off to the right slightly. Yang plops down in another nearby chair and claps her hands together.
"So! Bet you're wonderin' why we called you two down here, huh?"
Ruby nods quickly, her fiancé nodding a bit more slowly while trying to interpret Yang's body language to give her some sort of clue as to what the news was. Yang looks toward Blake with pleading eyes, the faunus rolling her eyes and nodding with a small snort of laughter. Yang squeaks excitedly, reaching into her pocket to retrieve a small, plastic toy insect and setting it on the table. An ant, more specifically. Weiss takes an expression of pure confusion, now wondering if Yang had taken too many bumps to the head and was dragging Blake down in the ensuing madness. Ruby just looks back and forth between Yang and the ant while biting her lip, trying to figure out what it was Yang wanted to tell her.
"Erm… You went to the dollar store?" Ruby finally offers to break the confused silence.
"Nope."
"You've finally gone mad?" Weiss asks, an eyebrow raising.
"Well, yes. But, not what I brought you here to say."
More confused silence fills the room as Ruby and Weiss try to figure out what on earth this is supposed to mean, causing Yang's grin to grow wider and wider.
"Sorry, sis, I got nothing." Ruby says with a weak shrug.
"Need a hint?"
"It would be much appreciated." Weiss replies with a sigh.
"Alrighty," Yang says, moving her finger to lightly tap the plastic ant with her rough finger and then pointing to Ruby. "It's what you're gonna be."
"I-I, what?" Ruby says, now more confused than ever. "I'm an ant?"
"Yup."
"U-Um, can I have another hint?"
"Nope, one's enough for ya to figure it out." Yang says, giving a grin that would send Cheshire Cat away in shame.
Blake appears to be having trouble keeping a lid on her laughter from her mate's antics, needing to cover her mouth as Yang speaks to avoid bursting into loud laughter. She does, however, release tiny snorts into her hand as Ruby puts her finger to her lips.
"Ant, ant, I'm gonna be an ant. Anthill? Adam Ant?" She mutters quietly, tapping her finger on her lips. "I'm an ant, I'm an ant… I'm gonna be an… ant…"
Her voice trails off as her eyes widen in sudden realization, her mouth falling open in shock as she looks at her sister's grin. "I'm gonna be an aunt!" She says loudly as Weiss looks at Yang with a dumbfounded expression.
"Oh my GOD, Yang!" Ruby squeals, shooting forward with her semblance to wrap her sister in the tightest hug possible as petals float through the air. "You guys are havin' a baby?!"
"Sure are, Rubes!" Yang says cheerfully, wrapping her arms tightly around Ruby.
While the two sisters are hugging each other with all their might (which is quite a bit, actually), Weiss looks to Blake as she shakes off the stupor of what Yang had just said. "Wow. You are? Really?"
Blake nods, a soft smile on her face. "Yeah, we've been talking about it for a while, now. We live a comfortable life in a nice house, with a steady income. We're ready."
"How exactly are you going to get one? Adoption, or…?"
"A new form of artificial insemination for those of our lifestyle." She answers. Seeing the raised eyebrow on Weiss' face, she elaborates. "Well, you probably haven't been looking into it as closely as we have. We've been planning for a child for a while, so we started looking into our options. We found a new choice that allows them to take the genetic material of one woman and use it in the fertilization process of the other, limiting the traits you might get from taking straight from a donor. It doesn't take ALL of it out, but it does take a good chunk of it down."
"I see. Well, I wish you luck in your pregnancy, Blake."
"Oh, I'm not the one carrying."
"WHAT."
"Yang's going to be carrying the child."
Ruby stops in her hugging, having been vaguely listening to Weiss and Blake's conversation, to look at her sister in surprise. "You're gonna be carrying?"
"Yup! It was the hardest decision we had to make along the way, but we finally settled on it."
Weiss looks at the couple with slightly concerned eyes, not only out of fear of a crazy, hormonal Yang, but of something else as well. "Aren't you… worried?"
"Hey, I think I can handle pregnancy, Weiss. I once fell off a cliff and got impaled through the side by a tree branch, only for a Nevermore to swoop down to try to make me his dinner. So, I think I know a thing or two about dealin' with pain."
"No, I mean…" Weiss says, cutting herself off to avoid what she knew was a racist question.
"What, Weiss?" Yang asks, her attention now completely on the former heiress.
"Don't take this as racist, please, I'm just saying this out of concern. Yang, you're going to impregnate yourself with a faunus child. Don't you think that's going to cause some… issues? With both you and society? I mean, a human giving birth to a faunus is nearly unheard of in history. I don't know how either would react to it… You would be… Well, the first entirely public one... You're famous huntresses, after all." Weiss says as gently as she can, not wanting to come off mean-spirited.
Yang sighs, nodding at Weiss and then looking to Blake. "We talked about that, too. And… we're gonna do it, anyway. Fuck the people who don't like it. They wanna come after me or Blake, they'll get burned and torn apart. If I want to have a faunus child, then I'm gonna do it. And, maybe, it'll tell other human-faunus couples that it's okay to have children. We're not scared of what others think. I love Blake. And, if I'm given the option to have her child, I take it with no regrets at all."
Yang's voice is filled with complete confidence, her love for faunus completely on display as she speaks. Blake gets up from her chair, Ruby quickly moving away so the faunus can hug her tightly. Normally, Blake was not one to show open displays of affection, but this situation warranted a long, slow kiss. Weiss can't help but smile as Blake shows her love in response to Yang's words, no doubt grateful for having a woman like Yang with her. After Blake parts from her lips, she murmurs a few very affectionate murmurs. Weiss reaches her hand out to Ruby, their fingers intertwining when they reach each other.
"I must say, though…" Weiss says, gaining Blake and Yang's attention.
"Yeah?"
"Of all the puns you've made over the years… that was the worst."
The living room of the couple's home is soon filled with laughter and excited speaking, all involved happy for what the future holds.
As they laugh in the home, a shadowy figure lurks nearby as she watches the window from a distance. She's in some old clothing, the kind that normal people walking down the street. The kind that she shouldn't be wearing. As she sees Ruby laughing, she puts a pale hand to the right side of her face. It is a gnarled mess of meat and scar tissue, nearly cleaved from her entire face. She is a shell of what she once was. The owner of the Schnee Dust Corporation. She has lost her power, her life, and her face.
"You took everything from me, Ruby Rose… Now… I take everything from you." She whispers lowly as she watches Ruby laugh, slowly walking away.
"A Schnee never loses."
