The world seemed to stop. All Chris knew was that Darren was there, Darren was kissing him back, and Darren had moved his hands up and around Chris's waits, holding them close together. Chris was in a state of pure bliss, he was in his own heaven, and Darren was kissing him back!
But before long they pulled away from each other. They both sat there on the couch, Chris was still glowing with joy at what happened. But slowly that joy started to fade and be replaced by horror.

'Oh my god, I'm so sorry Darren' Chris muttered, looking down into his lap, trying to ignore the other man.

'F-for what?' Darren mumbled, grazing his hand over Chris's back having not moved them since the kiss.

'For kissing you. I don't want you to think that all gay guys go around, making out with their straight friends' Chris moaned, trying to get away from Darren, but Darren held him strong, they needed to talk about this.

'Chris, what do you mean?' Darren asked calmly.

'I-I kissed my straight friend.'

Darren stared at Chris for a moment before bursting into laughter, finally letting go of Chris's back.

'What's so funny?' Chris demanded, looking up at the older man again.

'Y-you think I'm straight?' Darren gasped out between laughter.

'Well yes' whispered Chris, wishing and hoping that he was wrong, that kiss meant the world to him and if Darren was uncomfortable about it or if he was straight, which Chris knew he was, then their friendship would be over forever.

'Chris, think back. Have I ever told you plainly that I'm straight? Have I ever told you that I'm gay?' Darren said calmly, placing his hands back onto Chris.

Chris wracked his brain, trying to remember the last several months and the constant flows of conversation that Darren and he had shared.

'N-no' Chris finally said 'so a-are you gay?'

Darren considered the question for a moment before saying '100 percent gay' he said proudly, looking down into Chris's blue eyes, the eyes that usually were blocked with all these walls that Chris had set up, but now they were open, showering Darren with all the emotions that the younger boy was feeling. Then slowly, sort of magnetically the two boys both leaned in close to one and other again, and slowly Darren placed his lips back where they belonged, on Chris's.

Darren was so happy that he practically skipped back home after the movie, but he could barely remember the movie for he and Chris had kissed, they hadn't said if they were dating yet, but Darren was still over the moon about the kisses they had shared on the couch.

When Darren got home, Cerina could tell something was off about her child, he seemed happier than ever and when she asked why he just shrugged and said 'it's a good night.'

Darren rad upstairs to his bedroom and collapsed onto the bed, tonight was the best night in his life and nothing would change that.
But something would change that for at that exact moment someone knocked on Chris's door, someone who Chris hoped he would never see again: Mark Simms was standing behind the door; an evil smirk was splayed across his face. After the night that Chris was attacked, he was hunted down by the police, he was arrested and sentenced 20 hours of community service, and Chris Colfer was going to pay for that, after this night he hoped that the faggy little kid would be gone forever and he would be free to live his life without the threat of gay people taking over the world.

Chris walked slowly to the door and without looking through the peephole, he opened it.

Mark barged into the room, punching Chris in the stomach while doing so.

'Missed me, Fag?' he yelled while slamming the door behind him.
