Hi guys. Welcome back. I can't really think of anything to say, so I am just going to get to the story. Disclaimers: I don't own Spyro or anything Spyro related such as characters, places, etc, that all belongs to Sierra Entertainment.
Somewhere in the dragon realms
Character: Unknown dragoness
She paced in her room, thinking about what happened at the assault. They were fine. The plan was working. What went wrong? She then thought about the black dragoness, Cynder. She grew angry by just thinking of her. She was the reason the plan didn't work. And worse, the reason her mate was captured. Tears began to leak from her face as she thought of her dear Iacchus.
The mere thought of anything right now set her in an emotional ball of fire and ice. She stopped pacing. "I have to get my mate back, whether it kills me or not." Just then she felt an extremely powerful force of pain in her head. She grabbed hold of her head with both hands, but it did nothing. Then she heard a voice, an all too familiar voice. In a deep, evil hiss like voice, she heard it say something. 'You are not leaving.' The she dragon protested against the voice in her head, "Yes I am, and you can't control me now." She cleared her head and shook off the voice. Suddenly, she began to glow. She couldn't move. She kept getting brighter and brighter until she finally collapsed on the floor unconscious.
In the temple
Character: Cynder
The nurse came as the day began to start and she saw Cynder in there with a half dead Spyro next to her. She immediately got to work and grabbed some red gems. She gave him the red gems and changed the bandages Cynder had put on him the night before. She then hooked him up to a heart monitor and hooked him up to a V.I. Cynder just sat there and watched as the nurse tended to her boyfriend. She felt so useless. This brought up strange feelings in her. What, was the question she was asking herself. But she tried to shoo it away as she stared at her purple love. "Why does this keep happening to us," she asked herself. A lonely tear slid down her cheek as she turned to walk out the door.
"Stop," she heard something say. She turned back around and saw Spyro awake. She ran to his side as he tried effortlessly to stand on his paws. The nurse walked over to him and laid him back down.
"Sorry Spyro, but you're not well enough to stand just yet," the nurse said.
"Spyro," Cynder said happily. Spyro responded with a nod of his head. "Spyro, what happened? I was gone for a few minutes, next thing I know I see you in our room hurt and bleeding." Spyro looked at her with an uneasy look.
"It was nothing," he said. Cynder got angry.
"Spyro, it IS something! You were put in the infirmary with multiple wounds and almost bled out AGAIN! Please, tell me what did this to you," She said with complete sadness in her voice. Spyro just stared at her. Moments later he sighed. "Ok, Cynder. What did this to me was… It was Dark Spyro." Cynder stared at him quizzically.
"What? But that isn't possible. You ARE Dark Spyro."
"Cynder, it wasn't me though. It was the Darkness. At its purest form, it is able to take the form of their enemy and manipulate their every move, attack, and ability." Cynder didn't know how to respond, but she knew about this already. She and Spyro both had a physical and spiritual connection to the Darkness.
"But for that to even be remotely possible, it would require there to be no host under its influence. And Iacchus said that his mate was still corrupt. Unless-"
"Unless she broke free," Spyro finished. Cynder nodded and understood what happened to Spyro. She found it hard to believe, but someone other than her or Spyro broke free of its corruption.
"Spyro, we need to find her." He nodded and tried to get up with great struggle. "But I should probably do this on my own," She said putting Spyro back on the bed. "You need to stay here and rest. I can handle this."
"Cynder, I don't want you getting hurt. I want you to take Flame with you. Just in case you need some help." She nodded and headed for the door. "Cynder wait," She turned back towards Spyro. "Please be careful." Once more she nodded to Spyro, but this time she walked over and kissed him.
"Don't worry Spyro, I'll be fine. I promise." With that, she walked out the door and headed towards Flame's room in the temple. She knocked on the door and Flame appeared short after.
"Hey Cynder, what's up?"
"Uh, hi Flame. I need your help with something. It's really important."
Well, alright. What is it you need help with?"
After a While of explaining the situation to flame
"So, you want me to help you find one of the other patience girlfriends who were corrupt by the darkness but escaped?"
"Well, that about sums it up, doesn't it," Cynder said. It was hard to believe that another dragon could escape corruption unless given a diehard reason.
"I'm in." Cynder gave a sigh of relief. "What was that sigh for? Did ya think I wasn't going to help one of my friends?"
"Ha-ha, no, I just thought you wouldn't believe me."
"Now why would you think that?"
"I don't know. It was just a gut feeling, sort of like a reaction. Well, thanks for tagging along."
"No problem. When do we take off?"
"Well, if you don't need anything, right now would be a good time."
"I don't need anything in particular, but I guess I should grab some supplies." Flame went in his room for a while. Minutes later he came back out with a backpack of supplies.
'I guess it was necessary given the fact that they don't know where she is, or where to start looking for her. They could be gone for days', Cynder thought. "Well, let's go." With that the two dragons set off on their search for the she dragon.
Character: Star
"Oh, my aching head. Where am I?" Star was confused. She didn't recognize the place she was in. It was dark and there were a lot of evil aura surrounding the place. It appeared to her that she might not be in the temple anymore, or even the dragon realm. She got up and looked around. She was in a castle no doubt. There were brick walls, two fancy chairs in the middle of the room, pictures and paintings everywhere, and… "What?" She looked near a big door and found a dark blue scaled dragoness lying on the floor appearing almost lifeless. A sudden spark zapped in Star's eye. She knew who this dragon was. It was the dragon who launched the attack at the temple. She recognized her face. But she was different. How? She walked towards her. Suddenly, life jolted through the she dragon and she opened her eyes. Star stared at the golden eyes of the dragoness for a while, not knowing how to react. The she dragon stood up and looked around. She then ran towards a broken mirror on the floor. She looked at herself in the mirror for a while before saying anything. Then she said something in a soft whisper that Star could just make out.
The she dragon looked at her reflection and said, "I'm free."
Well, what do you guys think of this chapter? I am once again sorry for the chapter being seriously late. It took a lot of thought on how I was going to end this chapter because that usually affects the outcome of the beginning of my next chapter. And I am also sorry again about the short chapter. Well, I guess I will see you guys next chapter!
