Natsu busted the guild's door open with his fist.
"GIVE ME LUCY BACK!" he roared.
"The dragon has come." A voice was heard, followed by a figure stepping out of the shadows. "Greetings, dragon. My name is Zeus and I am the master of this guild."
Fire spewed from Natsu's mouth and his fists glowed with flame. A low growl erupted from his throat. "Give me my mate back."
"Oh unfortunately, I cannot do that." Zeus smiled. "You see, your mate has been chosen to do a very noble deed."
Natsu tightened his fists. "I won't ask again. GIVE ME MY MATE BACK!"
Natsu then lounged at his opponent. Zeus smiled and dodged Natsu's attack. Natsu growled and then opened his mouth.
"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!"
At the intensity of his flame, the roar hit Zeus right on his chest and blasted the guild's wall. However, Zeus stood up with no scratch although his clothes were a little bit singed.
"Very interesting." Zeus said. "You are a very powerful dragon."
Natsu let out another growl. "I WANT LUCY!" he roared and then charged at Zeus one more time.
While his clone was fighting Natsu, Zeus stepped into a chamber located on the highest level of the guild's building. Artemis and Apollo were sitting right on the middle, each of them closed their eyes to concentrate.
"How much longer?" Zeus asked.
"Not too long, Father." Artemis said. "Preparations have been made. All we need now is the completion of the vessel and the dragon's blood."
"Everything will be on its place in ten minutes." Apollo said.
Zeus smiled. "Very well."
Zeus then stepped out and made his way to where Lucy was. He snapped his finger and Lucy screamed in agony. She thrashed around inside her tube. Her eyes went blank and her body glowed bright.
Lucy felt so hot. Her body was so painful and it felt like her soul was being ripped out of her slowly. It was so painful Lucy could not do anything else except screaming.
Zeus laughed. "Finally! It's time! It's time!"
Natsu stopped and looked up. Suddenly, he felt his chest was getting tighter. This scream in pain... This was Lucy's voice!
"Natsu, look out!" Happy warned and Natsu's battle reflexes kicked in. He dodged Zeus's attack right on time.
"Heh, I thought my Sun Blast back there will finish you off." Zeus said.
Natsu gritted his teeth. Zeus's magic was kinda troublesome for him. It was hot like his fire, but so bright like Loke's light. Not to mention its destructive power. It was like he was facing the real sun.
Zeus readied his fist and lounged suddenly at Natsu. "Now, die!"
Natsu prepared to block his attack when suddenly slices of water appeared and threw Zeus back.
"Water Slicer!"
"Juvia!" Natsu said. Right then, he saw his other friends. His friends must have defeated the enemy!
"Natsu! Go to the highest floor!" Erza said. "We met Bixlow along the way and he said he saw Lucy's soul is turning so dark! You have to save her!"
Natsu felt his heart sank. Lucy's soul... Was turning dark? Not to mention her demonic scent was getting stronger.
"Go! We'll deal with him!" Gray said.
Natsu nodded. "Happy!"
"Aye, sir!" Happy's wings popped out and Happy took Natsu's clothes to fly.
"Oh no, you don't! SUN LASER!"
Natsu blocked the attack with his reflex, but Zeus's attack managed to graze his arm pretty badly. Drops of blood started to trickle down along Natsu's arm. Zeus grinned widely and lounged himself at Natsu.
Before anyone could do anything, Zeus gripped Natsu's wounded arm so hard. His palm was covered with Natsu's blood quickly.
"What the hell?!" Natsu swung his fist but Zeus dodged it.
He landed and then stood up. He opened his palm and his grin grew wider upon seeing Natsu's blood on his plam.
"Finally!" Zeus laughed erratically. "Lord Zeref, here we come!"
Just then, a strong gust of wind threw Natsu and the others out of the guild. They looked up and Natsu widened his eyes.
A huge black magic circle was on top of the guild's building. Instead of the sun, the moon was shining. Natsu suddenly remembered what the dude that was fighting Gray said. What was his name? Ah, whatever.
He said that there were members who possessed the power to control the sun and the moon's time. They must have used their power to fasten the full moon!
"Natsu! Look at that!" Happy said.
On top of the building, Zeus appeared with Lucy in his arms.
"LUCY!" Natsu called. He then winced upon seeing that Lucy was unconscious. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?!"
Zeus laughed. He let go of Lucy, but she floated. He then fished out few small flasks and dropped the liquid on top of Lucy. The liquid—which was blood—covered Lucy's clothes and painted her red.
"With the blood of the twelve gods, the vessel is now complete!" Zeus screamed and Lucy's body glowed red.
Just then, another Zeus—the one who had fought with Natsu—appeared. He lifted his palm which had been covered with Natsu's blood and placed it on Lucy's cheek.
"DON'T TOUCH HER!" Natsu growled.
After making sure that Natsu's blood had covered Lucy's face, the other Zeus disappeared.
"With the blood of the dragon under the full moon, the preparations has been completed. WITH THE SOUL OF THE CELESTIAL WIZARD, I COMMAND YOU TO OPEN THE GATES OF TIME AND CONNECT US TO ZEREF!"
"NO, STOP IT!" Natsu screamed.
"Behold, the magic even more powerful than the Eclipse Gate! The Blood Moon Magic, Moon Ceremony!" Zeus laughed.
Right then, Lucy's body glowed from red to bright yellow. She opened her eyes abruptly and screamed loudly in pain.
"LUCY!" Natsu called.
The huge black magic circle widened and turned color into blood red. Lucy's scream went louder and her body was engulfed in a bright light.
"STOP IT!" Natsu plead. "LUCY!"
Just then, Lucy's body turned so bright and a loud sound of explosion followed. Natsu stared at disbelief, his whole body was shaking.
The light and the magic circle disappeared, but so as Lucy's body.
"Lu... Luce?" Natsu mumbled. He widened his eyes in fear. Why couldn't he see Lucy? Where was she?
"Lu... Lucy..." Happy said in a shaky voice, tears started to trickle along his cheek.
The other Fairy Tail wizards could only stare in disbelief. Natsu suddenly remembered his nightmare. Sure this didn't look exactly like it, but this was so much worse. Natsu could not smell Lucy at all. Not a whiff of her scent.
"What? Where is the portal?" Zeus asked in confusion. "There's supposed to be a portal opened! Where—"
Zeus's words were cut off abruptly as a light suddenly sliced his head off. A swirl of black smokes appeared in thin air, and someone stepped out of it.
Lucy.
Or a demon Lucy.
Everything about her was black. She was covered in a black clothes—the same celestial clothes she wore after Zirconis stripped her, her hair turned pitch black, and her eyes were also black. A black feather adorned her head's side.
"Father!" Artemis and Apollo stepped out from the chamber they were in. They looked at Lucy in rage. "How dare you!"
But before they could do anything, Lucy thrust her index finger forward, and a beam of light appeared from it. The beam sliced off both of their heads.
"Wha—what is that?" Evergreen mumbled.
"That... That's Lucy." Bixlow said. "Her soul is the same as demon, but that is her soul."
"L... Luce?"
At Natsu's soft call, Lucy suddenly shifted her gaze to the group. She didn't say anything as she floated down and stood in front of her friends.
"Lu... Lucy?" Erza called.
Lucy thrust her hand forward and open her palm. A ball of light suddenly formed and was blasted towards the group.
"Dark Écriture: Protect!"
Lucy's blast hit Freed's rune shield and destroyed the surrounding.
"Luce?" Natsu called one more time. "Luce! Luce, it's me! Don't you recognize me? It's me, Natsu! Luce!"
"Natsu, stop that!" Erza pulled Natsu away from the runes as he was slamming his fist against it, trying to get out.
"Let me go!" Natsu growled. "My mate is there! I have to get to her!"
"Natsu, wake up!" Erza slapped Natsu. "Do you think the one who is standing in front of us is Lucy?!"
Erza's words hit Natsu's hard. He turned his head around one more time and his onyx eyes met Lucy's blank pitch black eyes. Not her usual warm brown eyes that he loved so much.
"Luce..." Natsu called. "It's me, Natsu..."
Lucy didn't say anything and instead another ball of light was formed in front of her palm.
"Lucy's power is too strong." Freed said. "My runes can only protect us against one more blast from her."
"We have to do something." Gray said. "We have to defeat Lucy and snap her back."
"No!" Natsu growled. "Don't you dare hurt her!"
"Natsu, we don't have a choice!" Gray growled back. "We have to snap her back so she will be the Lucy we know again!"
"You can't hurt Lucy!" This time, Happy rejected the idea. "She's our friend!"
"Happy, it is as Gray said. We don't have a choice. The Lucy in front of us right now is a demon."
"She's not!" Natsu roared.
"Natsu, wake up!" Gray shook Natsu's shoulder. He pointed at Lucy from within the runes. "Do you think your Lucy would do anything to hurt us? She's a demon, Natsu! Your Lucy—our Lucy—is somewhere inside that thing and we have to pull her out!"
Natsu stared at Gray in silence. Of course he knew that! Of course he knew that Lucy wouldn't want to hurt her friends, let alone hurt him. Of course he knew the Lucy in front of him right now wasn't his Lucy. But still... He couldn't help but to think that pitch black girl was her, he could smell her faint scent from the demon.
"N... Na... Natsu..."
Natsu turned his head around as he realized the ball of light's size didn't grow bigger. He lifted his eyes to meet Lucy's pitch black eyes.
"Luce?" he called. He was sure he could Lucy's voice back there.
"Na... Natsu..." The demon opened her mouth and Lucy's voice croaked. "R... Run."
Right after she said that, the ball of light blasted the group once more.
Oh yeah, I finally finished this chapter ~

P.S. : I know I made Natsu kind of so weak here, but I think no matter how strong you are, if your beloved is ripped away from you, you'll break apart. And I think Natsu will feel the same way if Lucy was changed into an enemy by force.
