Allys POV

The first bell rang as I walked to class alongside Dez.

Its been a month since I last talked to Austin. I thought since Austin saved me and he even fell asleep at my house that maybe it meant something, like he didn't completely hate me.

I dont even know what to think anymore.

"Ally?"

"Yea Dez?"

"Ally...are you okay?" I looked at him and saw him looking at me with concern

"Yea..I'm fine. Just tired." I gave him a weak smile, hoping he'll buy it.

" I don't believe you" Dang.

"Dez I swear I'm ok..your my best friend if something was bothering me you'd be the first person to know ok?" I could tell he still didn't believe me but he nodded and I smiled thankful the subject was dropped.

I don't why I couldn't stop thinking about Austin. This is stupid. He's stupid.
I want to say I'm done with Austin, that I don't care if I never see him again or if he ever talks to me again but I can't. I just can't

Lunchtime. Finally.

I was outside sitting under a tree with Dez. Why was it so hot today? This heat is going to kill me I swear.

"...if you ever need me..ok?"

"What?" was Dez talking..oh my gosh. Way to go Ally. Accidentally ignore the only friend you have. Stupid stupid...

"Ally are you listening?" Ahh you did it again Ally. Stop it! I'm telling you it's the heat.

"Sorry Dez, I think the heat is getting to my head..what were you saying?" Dez looked at me with concern...great Ally why don't you just concern Dez until it kills him.

"Are you feeling alright?.. It is really hot maybe we should go inside Ally-Cat"

"No it's alright..I'm ok promise." I gave Dez the best smile I could muster.

He gave me his signature goofy grin and said "alright if you say so. Ally how's it been with..Austin? Is he still bothering you?"

I would be lying if I said I wasn't extremely surprised by his question.

"Dez..can I tell you something?"

"Anything"

I started to tell him about everything that's happened. When I was done I looked at Dez and in his eyes I could see so many emotions. I couldnt tell if he was sad or angry...or jealous.

jealous. Thats funny Ally. As if anyone would feel jealous because of you.

"Dez..?"

"Huh..oh sorry Ally. I'm just trying to process all of this..I can't believe it..really cant."

"I can't either but-"

"I don't think you should talk to him."

"what?"

"Ally..he's just messing with you In so many ways and you fall for it. You let it happen, just because he does some nice things. Saving you..anyone would have done it. What kind of person stands back and does nothing!"

"Dez..."

"Listen Ally I can tell...you like him. I see it-"

"Dez no-"

"Dont lie to yourself! Don't lie to me! I just don't understand how someone like him can have you distracted all the time..I..I have to you later."

"Dez I...wait!"

"Ally..?" Wait. That doesn't sound like Dez. I looked up from where I was sitting and guess who I saw?.. I guess it's true speak of the devil and he shall appear.
