I'M BACK!

I do sincerely apologize for not updating at all...last weekend I had ballroom competition and before that I had a family thing, so here I am updating!

Because of that, I made this chapter longer than usual, so I hope you can forgive me for not updating

This chapter is basically a MASSIVE transition into the future chapters, and you'll be happy to know that there may be cute yordle sex in the future x3.

Other then that, do review and stuff, and enjoy this MASSIVE chapter.

"Good morning…" He said quietly to me, rubbing his eyes to wake up and his voice hoarse from barely waking up.

"Morning." I said back. He gave me a confused look because of the odd tone I had. He sat up and turned to face me.

"What's wrong?" He asked me. I turned so I wasn't facing Rumble anymore and was not looking at the wall across from the bed.

"It's…nothing." I said, trying to avoid my thoughts.

"Just tell me, Ziggs." Rumble said as he leaned over me and placed his hands on my knees. I knocked them off of me as quickly as I could, startling Rumble.

"It's that." I said to him, he raised an eyebrow at my in confusion.

"What are you talking about, Ziggs!" He said to me, louder than his past words.

"About physical contact, Rumble! Last night, you woke up shaking and whimpering while you were having a nightmare, and you still expect me to hug you and touch you? Come on, Rumble, sure, last night you needed it to be calmed and soothed, but Rumble, you're not better, and despite you wanting or thinking you can have physical contact, you can't." I explained to Rumble. He looked down at the bed.

"Right. Of course, you end up bringing this up again." Rumble quietly said to me.

"Yes, and I'm sorry, but really Rumble. I loved you hugging you last night, I loved holding you in my arms, but it's too early. I know you're trying to be brave and all, but you need time to heal." I told Rumble. He let out a displeased groan as he jumped off of the bed.

"Whatever, Ziggs. I stopped caring." Rumble said in an angry tone as he walked out of the room, leaving me alone on the bed. Had I made him mad with what I had told him? I know that I have been insisting on not wanting to have any sort of physical contact, but had this made him mad?

I sighed as I looked around the room, and then heard a faint vibrating. I shot up from the bed as quickly as I could and ran out of the room in record speed, bumping past Rumble who was barely at the stairs. I went down the stairs as quickly as I could and went to my office, where the phone was ringing. I picked it up and put it to my ear.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Ziggs! How are you!" Heimerdinger's voice said from the other side. He was unusually cheerful.

"I'm great, Heimy, how are you?" I asked back. I hardly ever called Heimerdinger by the nickname I had given him, but it was something that he didn't seem to mind at all.

"Well, I just wanted to ask you when you'd be coming. I know that you'd be busy, but the academy needs you here as soon as possible. The school year has been going for quite some time, and we just need you to get over to do your duties, possibly even teach this year if possible." Heimerdinger told me. I took in a big breath as his words. Teaching? It'd be the first year, and I have wanted to teach for quite some time…but it's a big leap.

"Oh right. Well, the thing is, trips to Piltover aren't exactly quick." I said back to Heimerdinger who gave a smug puff.

"Ziggs, you of all people should know about the new train system. They finally completed it, which is good. It cuts trips to places all over Valoran." Heimerdinger added.

"I see…where is this train?" I asked Heimerdinger, he gave off a sly chuckle.

"Ziggs, the place where trains arrive is a train station. You really are behind on the newest technologies." Heimerdinger explained to me. I gave off a small chuckle. I didn't care for new technology these days, including TV and stuff. It was getting too complicated, I missed the simple radio and stuff.

"Other things have been on my mind, I apologize." I said back.

"Nonsense, that is no reason to be behind. Anywho, the train station at Bandle is past the main hospital, and it's obvious as to it's location since it has a giant clock on a pole that makes it look like a lollipop, it's a little shack. You just gotta buy a ticket and you're ready to go, and remember, the train comes at five today, alright? Also, the train stops at other places such as Noxus, The Plague Jungles and Shurima, but the trip you're taking only takes stops at Noxus, The Institute and Demacia, and lastly Piltover. The trip itself should only last a few four days, so it won't be an issue." Heimerdinger explained to me.

"I see. I guess I could go then, despite everything between Rumble and I…" I said trailing off. Heimerdinger gave a sigh of discontent.

"Right, well, when you're ready to come then do come. I hope to see you soon, Ziggs, since this year at the academy will hopefully be the best." Heimerdinger said to me.

"Likewise, goodbye Heimy." I said back.

"Goodbye." He said back before hanging up. I hung up the phone and let out a sigh as I walked away from the desk to my window which had the blinds pulled up to the top, revealing the big backyard with the waterfall and everything.

"What was that about?" A voice said behind me, which startled me for a second. I turned quickly and say Rumble standing in the doorway.

"Oh! Rumble, you about gave me a heart attack." I said to Rumble as I leaned back on the windowsill.

"You're leaving to Piltover just like that? Just leaving me here?" Rumble asked me, his arms crossed. I shook my head.

"Not at all, Rumble! I would love for you to come with me, despite you're differences and resentment for the academy, it's just…it's my job to go, Rumble. You make a living off of your love for building and mechanisms while I make a living off of my job at the academy, along with the designs and uses for my bombs." I explained to Rumble. He kept his gaze on me for a few seconds before speaking up.

"You're right about that." He said back as I walked towards me.

"So…are you going to come with me? I know this morning didn't start off good, but you want to just forget about it and come with me?" I asked him. He walked up to me until there was a few inches between and he nodded, followed by a big smile. It was something I hadn't seen from Rumble in such a long time, and it made my heart flutter, along with making me smile along with him.

"As long as I am with you." He said to me, and brought me into a big hug. I couldn't stop him from giving me the hug, even as I tried to resist it.

"Come on, Rumble, you know what I said this morning." I said into Rumble's shoulder, somewhat muffling my voice.

"I know, it's just that I need you Ziggs." Rumble said back to me as he held my tightly against him. I finally was able to let go.

"Look Rumble," I said as I fixed my shirt and patted down some of the fur that got trapped between our two bodies. "I love you, I really do, but you're not ready. I would love to hug you, and that hug was lovely and all, but you're not ready." I said to Rumble. He gave a slight nod to me as he let in a big breath, which he released slowly.

"Alright. I understand. You want to go pack to go?" He asked me, I nodded to him.

"Of course." I said back as we walked out of my office, shoulder to shoulder.

We had finally arrived at the train station, where we sat on a bench next to a light post. I looked at the ticket in my hand, a simple white piece of some type of paper that seemed to shine in the light. I turned to Rumble who was sitting next to me, who seemed to be fidgety and uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if I should point it out to him, since our speaking terms have been iffy recently.

I hear a loud whistle come from somewhere, and saw a big silver thing come into view from my right. I turned and looked at the thing, and was instantly astonished as to what I was seeing. I guess it was the train, since it had people coming out of it once it stopped. It had a body shape reminiscent of a bullet, with wide side windows and everything.

"Is that the train?" Rumble asked from my left. I shrugged to him.

"Not sure, I guess. It's very fancy looking, that's for sure." I said back to Rumble who chuckled.

"Very shiny." He said back. I turned back to train and saw a yordle wearing an odd hat and a blue uniform come out of the train. He stood by the door of where the yordles exited out of and looked around.

"Do we go to him and get on or what?" I asked Rumble, who shrugged back, obviously confused.

"I don't even know what a train is, how it runs or what it can do." He said back obliviously. I sighed and got up, Rumble did the same as I did. I walked over to the yordle in blue and he turned to me, an eyebrow raised.

"Are you boarding?" he asked me, his voice cold and rude.

"Yes." I said back. He gave a slight nod as he looked over my ticket.

"Let's see heeereee…" He said as he looked over it. "Oh…OH! Excuse my manners, Professor, I was just…just kidding, that's all," The yordle said nervously. "Let me escort you and Rumble to your VIP cabin." The yordle said as he gestured to the interior of the train. He walked into the train and I followed behind him, Rumble behind me. He took us into a section of the train that had seats to each side of the train like a bus. This place was empty, no one was sitting in this section at all. He took us through another door which led into a long hallway that had doors to the right of it. He kept walking through hit section carelessly until we got to another door, which was good, and led us into it. This new section was grand looking, it had an even smaller hallway and there seemed to be much more space between each door. He stopped at the third door and he slid the door open for us.

"Enjoy your ride. If you need anything, press the green button near the door, we have service on this train." The yordle said and then walked away. I walked into the room that he led us into, and was taken aback by what I saw. It was a big room, which had four different seats in it. Two booth looking seats to the left and right side of the cabin, which were against the wall. The other two seats were couches, which were facing the door that we had entered through and a window to the opposite wall of the door. There was a table between the two couches, which had a bouquet of purple roses and some other flowers that looked foreign to me.

"Wow…" Rumble said quietly as he began walking to the couches and table at the center of the room. He sat down on the couch that was facing the wide window in front of it, reveling the other side of the train station. There was massive fields of grass beyond the train station, empty untouched land that was raw. I sat down next to Rumble and placed my suitcase down and leaned it on the couch.

"This is really nice. VIP…for us. Wonder why we got it, though, we don't really deserve VIP." I said, mostly talking to myself.

"Not deserve it? Ziggs, we're in the freaking League. And not only that, you can afford VIP easily if you weren't in the league." Rumble said to me in an unbelieving way.

"Yeah, but really? I don't like using the fact that I'm in the league to a personal advantage." I said back. Rumble lifted his legs up and he placed them on the grey couch, getting comfortable.

"Well take advantage of it. This place is awesome, it's perfect, and you don't want to take advantage of it. We even get a beautiful view in front of us, but no, you're too busy thinking about other things." Rumble said back. I sighed and turned to him.

"Yes, I am thinking of other things that are much more important than going to Piltover. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have gotten on this train to go, but I kind of need to." I said to Rumble. He chuckled.

"Fair enough. But what are you thinking of?" He asked me. I gave him a scoff.

"Really? You're going to ask me that. Rumble, it's the whole thing with you. Your traumatic experience, your nightmares, the fact that you think you're well." I said to him, he sighed and rolled his eyes.

"This again." He said to me.

"Yes, this again. I know you love me, but I want to know that you love me in a different way, not physical. A way that tells me you really do love me and you're ready, not in a physical matter like a kiss or a hug. I want to know from inside your heart." I said to Rumble.

Rumble put a finger to his chin and his face contorted to a smile. He grabbed his massive suitcase and he flung it over himself and onto the space between us on the couch. He opened up the locks as quickly as he could and inside he began rummaging through things. The suitcase had to be magically charmed or something, because it was huge on the inside. He took out a silk bag and showed it to me.

"Oh, a silk bag. My life's complete." I said sarcastically to him. He laughed. As he slid something out of it and into his palm. Once I saw what I was, I gave a quiet gasp. It was the heart shape bomb that I had given Rumble the day that I knew that I wanted him to be mine.

"I didn't want to leave it behind." He said to me. I took it in my hands and felt the smooth surface, along with the weight of the bomb. I handed it back to him and smiled.

"Sure, that's nice and all, but that won't get you off the hook, Rumble. Sure it's nice that I know that you take the time to bring the one and only item that I took more time to work on than my Super Mega Bomb." I said to Rumble. His smile turned into a frown.

"Alright then…" He said back quietly. Then his face quickly turned into a smile. He slipped the bomb back into the silk back and the bag into his suitcase, which he quickly shut. "I'm going to ask for a different cabin. I hopefully can find things around this place to make something for you, and being prepared ol' me, my suitcase has lots of junk in it that I could make out stuff out of. I always was prepared for whatever trip I would take, including scrap metal and all that sort of stuff." Rumble said as he grabbed his suitcase in his hand and sprung from the couch.

"If you want to, then go ahead. I won't stop you." I said as I looked up to Rumble as he nodded to me.

"I'll hopefully be done by when we get to The Institute, if not then hopefully when we get to Piltover," Rumble said as he walked to the door, where he turned around before leaving. "Remember, Ziggs…I love you." He lastly said to me before walking out. I was left with an empty room, and thick air that surrounded me in a sort of vacuum. I let out a loud sigh as I let my body fall on the couch, my limbs falling to my sides. I didn't know what to do at this point. I basically chased off Rumble to a wild goose chase that neither of us knew how to complete. I sat up on the couch and stare out the window, then all of the sudden, I felt the train lurch, pushing me to the side slightly.

The window told me that we had begun on our journey to Piltover. I wonder how long it would actually take.

I heard a loud knocking on the door that woke me up. I woke with a startle and looked at my surroundings, seeing that I was still on the couch. I turned to the window, which only showed me stone walls passing us every second. My only guess was that we were inside The Sablestone Mountains. I got up from the couch that I had somehow fallen asleep on and made my way to the door, which I quickly slid open. I was greeted by Poppy on the other side, who was holding a big yellow suitcase that was sitting on the ground. The suitcase had her paragon insignia on the side. She looked me straight in the eyes, her face serious.

"I came here because the staff decided to switch Rumble and I rooms. Apparently, he needs his own space to do something." Poppy said to me in a stern voice. I gave her a slight nod.

"Oh sure. Go right ahead." I said to her, stepping aside. She strolled in and placed her suitcase near the door. I noticed that she wasn't in her usual armor, rather she was in some loose fitting cotton pants and a shirt, something that looked really odd on Poppy. She walked over the right of the door and tapped the wall which made the wall release a sound of air being released. A part of the wall began slowly turning out of it, and in the end ended up being a bed that was connected to the wall. She turned to me, her face still serious. I was absolutely confused as to me now knowing that there was beds.

"Yes, there's beds, did you not know that? The people who work at the train station really have to focus more on telling their clients what they offer and what they don't." She said to me as she sat on the bed, moving around the blankets. She jumped up on the bed and got under the blankets, followed by her turning around so she was facing the wall. It seemed very avoidant to me, so I turned back around and made my way back to the couch that was facing the window. Once I was seated, I saw that the train was passing by massive tropical trees. I had no idea where we were exactly, but I knew we were out of the Sablestone Mountains. I put my head down on the couch and kept my vision on the outside, and almost at once, I fell asleep.

I opened my eyes and was greeted by the same bright room I had fallen asleep in last night. It looked so cozy and nice, and I didn't feel like getting up at all. I turned my head on the couch and faced the window. It showed us passing through a mixture of grass and sand, which confused me. Where could we possibly be? I reluctantly got up from my bed and stood up and I turned to look at Poppy's bed, where she was quietly sitting, reading a book. She looked up from it and towards me.

"Morning." She said to me.

"Morning." I said back, my voice sounded deeper and rough. The usual morning voice. She placed a bookmark into the book and she set it aside.

"I was waiting for you to wake up, so we could go for breakfast." Poppy said to me as she stood up. She was still in her pajamas from last night.

"Oh right. Sure, lead me on." I said, gesturing for the door. She gave me a slight nod and she walked led me out of my room, and into the small hall of the train. She walked down the hall and passed two doors, until we got to the third door. I noticed that this door was much more spaced than the door ahead and before it. She slid the door open and led me in, and I noticed that this place looked like a restaurant. It was a lot more bigger than the cabin that we had gotten, and there was lots of tables lining up the walls and the middle of the room. She walked over to the door straight across from the door, where she sat down. I did the same, awkwardly sitting across from her.

"The food on this train is incredible." She said to me as she grabbed the menu off of the table and handed one to me.

"Sounds fancy," I said as I read over one of the breakfasts: Aug'Mellou. I didn't know what it was, what language it was, or what it was made up of, but the name made me want to eat it. The magic of advertising. Poppy set down the menu and began looking around. "You already decided?" I asked Poppy, she nodded.

"I've been riding this train for a day now, and I've gotten accustomed to the menu they have here." Poppy said to me.

"I see. What's good on this menu, especially for breakfast?" I asked back. She picked up the menu and looked over it quickly.

"Get the blueberry waffles or something. Most of the stuff they serve here is good, so I would recommend anything." Poppy said to me. A female yordle waitress approached us, a big smile on her face.

"Hi you two! Ambassador, it's good to see you again." The waitress said to Poppy who gave her a slight nod.

"Good to see you again, Whitney." She said back to the waitress. I looked at her nametag that said Whitney, they really did know each other.

"What would you like Ambassador?" She asked her.

"The blueberry waffles with a side of bacon and sausages," Poppy said, she turned to me and I couldn't help but chuckle. She gave a slight shrug. "I like my meats." She said to me. Whitney turned to me and smiled.

"And you professor?" She asked me.

"How about…the same thing Poppy ordered." I said to her indecisively.

"And for drinks?" Whitney added.

"I'll take coffee." Poppy said to Whitney who wrote down the order.

"I'll just take milk, plain." I said to Whitney who nodded and smiled to us.

"Alright, they'll be coming in a few. And, if you don't mind me asking, professor…how are you and…Rumble." Whitney said awkwardly to me. I gave her a slight smile and a quiet chuckle.

"We're doing rather fine, thanks for asking. Lately we've been having issues rekindling the whole love thing after his whole abduction, but I know that we can make it work." I said to Whitney who gave me a bigger smile.

"Well I'm glad to hear that! I will return shortly with your order, enjoy your time here." Whitney said cheerily as she walked away. I turned to Poppy who was looking over at me, her face neutral as usual.

"I don't believe anything you told Whitney about the relationship. We both know it's not fine." Poppy said to me. I sighed audible and folded my menu back into the way it should be folded, and then placed it to the side of the table.

"Yeah, it's been hell for us to be honest. It happens, but I want what we had to come back, I would absolutely love that. Besides, not to be rude or anything, Ambassador-" She interrupted me.

"Poppy. I've told you to not call me ambassador out of formal situations, Ziggs. I don't call you professor." She said to me sternly. I nodded.

"Right, Poppy. Like I said, not to be rude, but I wouldn't expect you to give relationship advice or even…care." I said to her, she gave a slight nod.

"As true as that could be, it isn't. I do care about you, Ziggs, and every other yordle. Not just the ones in the league, every civilian yordle matters to me." She said to me as she looked towards the door.

"I see…" I said back quietly.

"Besides, Rumble told me why he needed another room. He explained it to me, and from what he told me, he doesn't deserve the punishment you gave him, per se." Poppy said.

"Punishment? You mean that he needs to show me that he actually loves me? He…he called that a punishment?" I asked her, a bit disturbed to hear this from Poppy's mouth. Rumble must've been a little upset at me, now. I'm such an idiot.

"He felt like you were pushing him away, and despite it hurting him he's going to do all that he can to please you. Last time I checked, and it was before you woke up, he had a mess of scrap in the room. I don't really know what he's trying to get at, but he really does want to please you." Poppy said to me. I sighed.

"What are you trying to say, Poppy? I'm…I'm confused." I said to her.

"Just come to him with open arms. He's been trying to love you the way you've been dying to love him forever, and you're pushing him away. I know that you think that he's not ready, but from what he told me, he knows the risks and he's ready to move forward." Poppy said to me.

"To just take him…I'm not sure. I-I want to, I really do, but-" I stopped myself as I saw Whitney approach the table through my peripheral. She happily approached us and placed two big plates filled with our breakfast, along with our drinks.

"Enjoy your meal you two! And if you need anything, be sure to call me over." She said with a smile, then walked off.

"You really want to what?" Poppy asked me as I overlooked my breakfast.

"Oh right," I said, looking up at Poppy. "I really do want to, but…I…I'm scared, Poppy. There, I admitted it out loud, I'm scared." I told her, she raised an eyebrow.

"Scared of what?" She asked me. I looked away from her to the wall to my left.

"Of him being taken away again, Poppy. Of him walking off and being hurt again. I can't handle that again, and I don't want it to happen." I said quietly. She let out a quiet huff.

"I see. You know what, Ziggs? I think that you should just take him, Ziggs, truthfully. He's safe now, and he's with you, trying to take you back." Poppy said to me. I was chewing a bite of my waffle during this, which I swallowed.

"Alright then… I guess I'll go over and tell him that." I said back, Poppy nodded as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Good luck. He was set on doing what you told him to do. I'm just saying." Poppy said to me. I nodded back and turned back to my breakfast.

This would be interesting.

After I finished my breakfast, Poppy and I parted at the restaurant and I went out into the hall. She told me that the room that Rumble was now in was in the next cabin, so I walked all the way down the hall to the door at the end past it to another hallway that looked like the one I was just in. I walked down the hall to the second floor, which I knocked on. The window on the sliding door was covered with a black sheet of paper, which confused me. The door slid open, and I saw Rumble on the other side, wearing a red jumpsuit that had grease stains here and there, along with on his bright blue fur. It just hit me that it's colorful sheen had returned.

"Ziggs?" He asked me as he wiped his sleeve on his forehead, smearing a streak of oil on his fur. I couldn't help but inwardly giggle.

"May I come in?" I asked him. He stepped to the side and showed me the inside of the room. I walked in and was astonished by what I saw, the floor was littered by an assortment of things, colorful wires and cables, scraps of metal, screws nails, drivers and washers. What was he doing.

"Oh here," Rumble said as she rushed to the now stained couch. He didn't seem the care that he had ruined the cream colored couch and carpet. He pushed aside a pile of scrap off of the couch, and he gestured for me to sit on it. "There." He said to me as he walked to the couch across from the one that he wanted me to sit on. I reluctantly sat down, the smell of oil seeping into my nostrils.

"So, Rumble…" I began, trying to think of what to tell him. I felt the train lurch, pulling me towards the front of the train slightly. Had we already reached a destination? I tried to see out the windows straight across from me, but they, too, were blacked out.

"Yes?" He asked me impatiently as he fiddled with a few things in his hands.

"Poppy talked to me." I said to him. This caught his attention. His eyes shot straight to me.

"Oh…w-what did she tell you?" Rumble asked me. So what he had told Poppy or what Poppy new bothered him to some level. He didn't want me to know.

"She thinks that you're absolutely ready to be mine again, despite the fact that I don't agree." I said to him. I saw him release a breath. I had a feeling he had told her something else that he didn't want me to know or something…

"Oh. And what do you actually think, other than what Poppy had told you?" Rumble asked me, egging me on to release more information.

"After she persuaded me, I agree. I think that I've been pushing you away…because I'm scared." I said to him. He didn't react to me.

"As true as that may be, Ziggs, you told me to show you that you love me. And look what I'm doing," He said raising his arms, showing off the room. "This. I'm working on it, Ziggs, I really am. I'm not going to take you back, as much as I would love to. You're the one that said that you wanted this, and guess what. You're getting it." Rumble said to me in a stern tone. I couldn't take my eyes off of him as I watched him tell me this, my heart pounding. The way he said this hurt me to some degree, but at the same time it gave me light. Maybe this could lead somewhere…?

"A-Alright." I said back as I stood up and looked around the dirty cabin. I turned to Rumble and I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I turned back around and walked out of the cabin quickly, going into the hallway which I ran down and into the hall in which my cabin was in. I ran into my room, hoping to find Poppy to lean on. I turned right at the door and saw that the bed was back into it's slot in the wall. Where was she?

I didn't feel like tracking her down, so in defeat, I slumped on the couch and laid my head back in the pillow that was still on it. My vision turned to the window and then I saw why Poppy wasn't here. In the distance, I could see a blue shimmering building. The Institute.

That meant two things. We were closer to getting to Piltover, but we were also just as far.

I slumped back into the couch and covered myself in blankets. I didn't know why I couldn't get the words out. I felt defeated, and the one person who cared enough other than Poppy was Rumble, who was too busy trying to do something that I could care less about now. I knew now, but I was so stupid that I sent him off to do that.

Why did I do that.

A loud knock startled me, and I quickly sat up. I noticed that I was still on the couch. Had I fallen asleep? I looked around, and I heard another knock. I quickly got up from the couch and walked to the door. I couldn't see the glass on the human sized door, so I had no idea who was on the other side of the door. I slid it open and was greeted by Jayce, complete with his hammer slung of his shoulder on some strap, and a suitcase in his hands.

"Professor." Jayce acknowledged me.

"Jayce. What brings you here?" I asked him, rubbing my eyes as I tried to get the sleep off.

"After countless searching, the staff wasn't able to find a vacant room for me, so they stuck me with you. They felt it wasn't appropriate to take me into any other section of the train." Jayce said to me.

"Oh, right," I said to him, stepping to the side. "Come in, feel free to sleep anywhere. You do know about the beds on this train and everything right?" I asked him. He nodded to me.

"Of course! I was one of the inventors of this train system, you know." He said proudly to me. I chuckled.

"That's nice, it's a very nice system." I said back to him as I looked around the bland room. The dark window caught my attention. It was already night? And not only that, but the train was moving again.

"It sure is. I'm going to unpack." Jayce said to me, I nodded back.

"I…I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Just…I've been out of it," I said back to Jayce as I scanned the room, almost expecting to find something to do in this room. "Don't mind me." I added. I slid the door open and I walked out into the dimly lit hall, sliding the door closed behind me. I sighed as I walked down the hall all the way to the restaurant, which I was glad to see was open. There were a few people in this place, typing in some sort of things that I had no idea as to what they were, some drinking coffee, some reading scrolls or those new things called books.

I walked over to the booth that Poppy and I had eaten in earlier today, or yesterday…I wasn't sure what time it was at all. I overlooked at the menu, even though I wasn't hungry. I needed something to keep me busy from my thoughts of Rumble. Whenever I did think about him, I thought about past memories between us. About what we used to do together, how much we loved to be with each other.

Then it hit me. Why couldn't I just walked into the room and grab Rumble and tell him to stop this madness. This was childish! Why in the world did we feel like doing this. Okay, you know-

"Oh! Professor! It's good to see you again." A voice said as it brought me out of my trance. I turned and I was face to face with Whitney, with her usual smile.

"Whitney, it's good to see you. Do you work for twenty four hours or something?" I asked her, looking around for any other waiters or waitresses.

"Something like that. The hours on this train are you work until you just can't work anymore, you take a whole break the same amount as the time you worked, and repeat." Whitney explained to me.

"Do you have time to sit down and just…chat?" I asked her, she nodded.

"Sure, this is the slowest hour. This is usually when everyone in the kitchen and stuff sit around," Whitney said to me. "So what's up?" She asked me.

"Not much, just been occupied in my mind. Constantly thinking about Rumble and how what's going on between us is so ludicrous." I said to Whitney.

"Such as…?" She commented.

"So when we first got on the train, he tried to get hug me and stuff, but I said that he's still not ready. He showed me the bomb that I first gave him long ago before our trip over to Bandle. I then told him, stupidly, that he needs to show me he loves me, and how he's trying to exactly that. He's been working himself hard to make something, or do something that show me just that, and I know see that he doesn't need to, but he insists. This is so…stupid, what a stupid think to argue over, what a stupid think to preoccupy your mind." I said to Whitney. She put her finger to her chin.

"I see. That's a lot of information to take in, to be honest." She said to me, followed be a chuckle. I laughed, too.

"Yeah, sorry, but that's the whole story." I said to her. She placed her notepad and pen on the table as she let the booth take in her body as she relaxed.

"I say just wait. Sure it is stupid, and I'd hate to be in your situation, but just wait," She said to me as he looked around the area. "Where's the Ambassador?" She asked me.

"Her stop was at the Institute." I said to her, she ah-ed.

"Oh right. Well, I should go back to sitting over there at the counter, waiting and hoping for customers. Are you going to order anything?" Whitney asked me, I shook my head.

"I just needed counseling. I'm good now, I'm going to head off. You enjoy your arduous hours." I said to her with a smile, she smiled back.

"I sure will. Good luck with Rumble." She said as I got up.

"Yep. Thanks." I said lastly and then walked out of the restaurant.

After I had left the restaurant I went straight back to bed, and I was happy to know that I was able to easily fall asleep, despite waking up in the middle of the night. Once I had woke up I sat up on the couch and looked around at the now somewhat lit room. The window said otherwise, though, we were going through a tunnel again. I didn't know where we were at, and I could care less.

I got up from the couch and surveyed the room. I wasn't surprised to see Jayce out of his bed, I'd expect him to get up early to do things. I took a step and tripped over something, landing flat on my face onto the cream carpet. I groaned as I looked at what tripped me. It was the heart-shaped bomb. I grabbed it in my hands and I sat myself up, my back against the couch. I took a moment to study the bomb that I had made so quickly, but even when that did happen it was almost…perfect. It was sturdier and felt more dangerous than my usual Hexplosives, which confused me, even though it was I that had made this bomb. Although that was forever ago…

Whatever. I placed the bomb on the floor and I sat back on the couch, facing the windows as it passed the darkened tunnel. I watched as the walls of the tunnel slowly began to get lighter, along with the room. My guess was that we were approaching the end of the tunnel…to wherever this tunnel led to.

I heard a knock which brought me out of my thinking.

"Come in!" I said loudly, too lazy to get up. I heard the door slide open. "Have you ate breakfast, Jayce?" I said loudly. I didn't hear anything back, just footsteps. I shifted on the couch, debating whether to get up to check if it was Jayce who had entered the room. I saw Rumble come into my peripheral.

"Ziggs." He said as he approached me, his voice sounded serious.

"Yes?" I asked him back, he stood in front of me, his jumpsuit and everything still filthy.

"I just can't." He said to me, my face became confused.

"What? You can't what?" I asked back.

"I can't, Ziggs. I can't do anything to show you that I love you. I've tried and tried, and I can't make anything. These hands," he said, showing me his yellow-glove covered hands. "Are made to make machinery, they're not made to make love. Trinkets. Toys. They're made for war," He said to me, his eyes watering up as he told me this. I looked up at him, and it broke my heart to see him like this. I grabbed his hands and I slowly took off the gloves from his hands, releasing the bright blue fur under. It was nice to see that it's color was back now, after long days of being deprived of food and nutrients. His face was puzzled as I slipped off the gloves. "What are you doing, Ziggs?" He asked me.

"Nothing." I said back as I took off the second dirty glove, placing it on the couch. I could care less if it stained. Once they were off, I held on to this hands, stroking the soft fur that I missed so much.

"Ziggs, I came here to talk. Stop…doing whatever you're doing." He said to me. I let go and I placed my hands on the couch. I sighed.

"I told you, you don't need to. Sure I gave you a bomb, but you don't need to return the favor. Being with me is enough for me." I said to Rumble. He shook his head.

"I have to, Ziggs." He said back.

"You don't Rumble! You don't have to, stop saying you do! Just stop!" I shouted to him. He let out a loud huff.

"But you told me to, Ziggs! Yet again, you do the same damn thing you told me not to do in the first place, back when we argued over Heimerdinger not being invited to the party, you told me not to bring it up anymore, when you did, and now you're doing the same thing! You said that I have to show you that I love, and now you decide it's not necessary? It's only when you want to!" He shouted back. I grabbed Rumble by the shoulders and I brought close to my body, where I pressed my lips against his. At first Rumble tried to fight it, but after a few seconds, he gave in. I pressed my tongue against his lips, trying to get it into his mouth.

He let my tongue enter his mouth, which I felt around with my tongue. It felt so good to be able to feel this again, the wet inside of his mouth against my tongue. It was something that I truly did miss.

After a while of our makeout session, we had slowly moved ourselves onto the couch, where Rumble had his back on it and I was on top of him, our hands exploring each other's fur and body as we made out passionately. Rumble was the one to pull back, his breath ragged along with mine.

"How did we get here." He asked me as he tried to catch his breath. I got off of him and sat on the bed.

"You showed me Rumble. You showed me you love me." I said to Rumble who scoffed.

"Yeah right." He said back.

"Can you just accept it, Rumble? I made the move on you, and you accepted it, that's enough for me. And look," I said as I grabbed the blanket that I had slept with. It was smeared with oil, grease and other things that were on Rumble's jumpsuit. "These things are ruined. I obviously could care less, but you showed me you love me." I said as Rumble sat up. I placed my hand on his knee and ran it up and down, going down to his thigh and to his knee. He turned to me and smiled.

"I missed this." He said to me. I nodded and I leaned in and pecked Rumble on the cheek.

"I did too." I said back as I shifted my body until my head was in Rumble's lap. He put his hands on my head and began feeling the fur. We continued like that for the rest of the day, doing our old rituals that we missed so much. It was like we had met all over again.

I missed this.
