It has been two weeks since the Space bridge incident, but the Autobots are not without vigilance since the Decepticons are still on Earth and Starscream is now in command of the Decepticons. Starscream is having some fun having a dozen Vehicon troops worshiping him.
Vehicons: All hail Starscream!
Starscream: I can't hear you!
Vehicons: All hail Starscream!
Starscream: One more time!
Vehicons: All hail Starscream!
Starscream: Let it out!
Vehicons: All hail Starscream!
Suddenly Sunstorm enters.
Sunstorm: I don't mean to interupt your moments of glory, Commander Starscream.
Starscream glares at Sunstorm.
Starscream: That's LORD Starscream! And what is it?!
Sunstorm: Well, Lord Starscream, shouldn't we be salvaging for Lord Megatron's remains? It has been two weeks since his demise.
Starscream: I have told you that there is nothing left of him! You are ordered to return to your post, Sunstorm!
Sunstorm: Yes, Lord Starscream.
Sunstorm walks away and he gives a disgusted look as Starscream is still wallowing in his fantasy come true; but Sunstorm is still among those who are loyal to Megatron along with Soundwave, Luggnaut, Dirge, Ramjet, Thrust, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Slipstream and many others, he meets up with them.
Slipstream: Well?
Sunstorm: Starscream is still dancing like one of those earth based hologram things.
Luggnaut: Bah! We cannot wait for that fool's permission! We must find our leader! Our true leader!
Ramjet: No arguement from me. How is it going down?
Luggnaut: We will go looking for our true leader while Soundwave will remain here to keep that traitorius pile of scrap busy!
Soundwave nods in agreement; the Decepticons transform and they fly out. Meanwhile, at the Autobot base, Ratchet is finding some difficulty into finding the lost recipe for Synthetic Energon; Optimus walks behind him.
Optimus Prime: Any luck, old friend?
Ratchet: It has proven to be more difficult than I have anticipated. Even with Megtron one with the All Spark, the Decepticons are still mining for Energon while we're recieving as little as possible.
Optimus Prime: I know that you are doing you're best, Ratchet.
The alarm goes off, as the Autobots and humans enters the room.
Ironhide: Ratchet, what's going on?
Ratchet puts the research for Synthetic Energon on hold as he switches screens, and he discovers what appears to be a Cybertronian signal.
Ratchet: It cannot be possible! It appears to be Cybertronian.
Haruhi: So, is it Autobot or Decepticon?
Ratchet: Hard to tell. But it appears to have been there longer than us.
Optimus Prime: If there are Autobots in need, then we cannot turn our backs on them.
Jazz: But, what if they're not.
Optimus Prime: Then we will engage them; I am hoping that it will not come to that. Ratchet, bring your medical kit, we may need it; Jazz, Bumblebee, Drift you shall accompany with us as well.
Drift bows his head.
Drift: Of course, Optimus-sensei.
Ratchet: Wheeljack, activate the Ground Bridge.
Wheeljack activates the Ground Bridge as Optimus, Jazz, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Drift transforms into the vehicle mode and drives into it. As soon as the Ground Bridge closes the humans and bots ponder among themselves.
Shintani: What would you think if there are others like you in space.
Prowl: I'm not even sure how to react if I do see another Autobot. I can only guess that they might have been killed in battle by the Decepticons.
Cliffjumper: If there are others still alive out there, they could be looking for a safe haven right about now.
Bulkhead: Brawn will be thinking the same thing if he were still with us.
Honey: Speaking of Brawn, where are Sideswipe and Sunstreaker?
Arcee: Probably still mouring for him.
Misaki: Do you think that they'll get over it?
Prowl: Sideswipe probably will in time; it's Sunstreaker I'm more concerned about.
Kaoru gives off a sad sigh as he thinks about Sunstreaker. He remembers what Sunstreaker said as he left the group for a short time. Meanwhile, aboard the Nemesis, Soundwave picks up the same Cybertronian signal from before.
Soundwave: Attention, Lord Starscream. Unknown signal detected.
Starscream: Good work into picking it up, Soundwave; I will have my Armada look into it. Thundercracker! Skywarp! Sunstorm! Thrust! Ramjet! Dirge! Come at once!
Starscream notices that they aren't around.
Starscream: Where are they?!
Soundwave: They have left to scout for Energon.
Starscream: Hmph! Very well, but who will I have to seek out the strange reading.
A mysterious Decepticon with razor sharp claws appears.
Mysterious Decepticon: I will, Lord Starscream.
Starscream: I guess I'll have to leave it to you, Airazor.
Airazor: Thank you, my Lord.
Airazor transforms into his flight mode which happens to be a helicopter.
Starscream: I can't believe that Airazor is one of those who would choose a slow moving aircraft as a vehicle mode. Nevermind, I will go find out what those fools are up to while you monitar Airazor. Make sure that he dose not fail.
Soundwave: As you command, Lord Starscream.
Both Soundwave and Starscream transform into their flight mode and fly out; meanwhile in Knock Out's lab, Knock Out is getting his finish buffed while a bigger Decepticon is doing all the buffing.
Knock Out: Just a little lower on the right, Rampage.
Rampage: Is buffing all I'm used for.
Knock Out: Well, I just want to look my best, Rampage. You should try it yourself.
Rampage: Well, I should be out there scratching Bulkhead's paint insteading of scratching some vehicons for practice.
Knock Out: Stop complainging and buff.
Luggnaut makes contact with Knock Out.
Luggnaut: Luggnaut to Knock Out; come in.
Knock Out: Your trusty medic here! What is it I can do for you today?
Luggnaut: Prepare sick bay for our Master.
Knock Out knew who Luggnaut was talking about.
Knock Out: You can't be serious.
Luggnaut: You dare to object the will of Lord Megatron?! Do it or I'll scratch your finish again and again!
Knock Out reluctantally accepts Luggnaut's demand (and his threat).
Knock Out: Of course. Over and out.
Rampage: You know that there could be rumors of Megatron up and about looking for us and the Autobots.
Knock Out: Keep that to yourself, Rampage! Starscream may be a joke of a leader, but he'll shoot holes in us if he hears us talking about it.
Rampage: Well we should prepare just in case.
Knock Out and Rampage nods inagreement. Knock Out and Rampage had been partners since the war for Cybertron began, but Knock Out and Rampage both fear Megatron so much, they wouldn't dare to betray him, even with Luggnaut getting through with them.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, in the middle of a jungle, Optimus, Jazz, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Drift make it to their destination and they make it to what appears to be a giant stasis pod.
Bumblebee: Well we made it.
Ratchet checks the pod to see which side the bot inside is one; as Ratchet rubs the dirt off and he sees that it's an Autobot symbol.
Ratchet: It's one of ours.
Drift: But who could be big enough to be in there?
Optimus Prime: My guess is that the inhabitant of this pod is Grimlock.
Jazz: Grimlock? That renegade?
Meanwhile, back at Autobot base.
Hikaru & Kaoru: Grim... lock?
Smokescreen: I've heard of him. He's one of those renegade Autobots. He led a unit called the "Lightning Strike Coalition Force".
Tamaki: What ever happened to this "Grimlock"?
Cliffjumper: I heard that he disappeared along with his unit, but Primus only knows what happened.
Haruhi: Optimus, do you really think that really is Grimlock in there?
Back at the jungle.
Optimus Prime: Only one way to find out, Haruhi. Ratchet, open it.
Ratchet does so as the pod lets out steam as the pod door opens, and inside was an Autobot approximately fifty feet tall; Optimus recognizes the giant Autobot.
Optimus Prime: Grimlock. Can you hear me?
Grimlock: Yes... Optimus...
We're going to end the chapter here. I replaced Breakdown with Rampage, since I should get him to have a rivalry with Bulkhead, but that will wait another time, but we'll get more into Grimlock's backstory and the whereabouts of the other Dinobots as well. Until the next chapter.
