A servant of a servant

"One day, lets see the world!"
She said that once. She told me that she wanted to go and see the world. But she wasn't able to. She was killed. She died before knowing the world. Some people would say that is sad, and I don't know if I agree with them. I don't...feel things like everyone else does.
Yet for some time now, I have had strange things happen to me. I helped that nun, I started a relationship with Yumi-chan. I became acquainted with Akeno-san and Koneko-chan. Finally, I have become closer to Le Fay-san. Why is this happening to me? Master...has something happened to me?
Never mind. It doesn't matter anymore. That girl...one day, will I be able to fulfil your wish? You wanted to see the world, should I go and do that for you? Should I go and see the world, for you? Should I go and see what you wanted to see?
"Makoto-kun, what are you thinking about?"
"Nothing important, I assure you."
I replied to Le Fay-san. It doesn't matter. Its my past and it doesn't matter. I, don't matter. Isn't that what I was grown up to believe? Life doesn't matter, only your Master. That's what I was taught. Yet why does it feel like that it does matter.
But for some reason, right now I feel like I have to go out. Something is...pulling me. I don't know what this feeling is, but I get the feeling that I need to leave this place and find someone...but I don't know who that person is.
"Hmmmm, if you are sure."
"I am sure. I, am going to go out for a walk."
"Really? Its really late. Where are you going?"
"Just out for a walk. The cold air seems to be good. I want to just have a little walk. I will pick up some cake. Ophis-sama, would you like cake also?"
Ophis-sama stops watching the television, looked at me and nodded, then went back to watching television. What a strange Dragon God.
"See. Ophis-sama wishes for me to get her some cake. I will be back shortly, Le Fay-san."
"O-Okay, come back soon."
I nodded, then went for the door. I opened the door then I exited it. Hmmm, a cake shop. For some reason, I wanted to take a little walk. I don't know the reason myself but I needed to get out of the apartment and have a nice way, to clear my head and to follow this feeling.
I walked and walked around this town. I need to go to the cake shop for Ophis-sama. I only said that so I would have an excuse to leave. There's nothing wrong with either of them, I just wanted to be alone and I need to follow this feeling I am having. That's how its been for awhile now. A feeling of being pulled. It really is a little strange.
But, I've been missing Master. I wish Master was here. She always knows what I am thinking about. She knows what I like and don't like. Master knows how to...make me feel...anything. She understands what I am feeling, even if I don't.
I walked until I came across someone. Someone is in my way. A girl on the ground. She has rosy pink hair which is tightly secured with dark pink ribbons. She has emerald coloured eyes. She is dressed in a short skirt, and a white blouse which shows off her breasts. She seems to have been travelling for along time. I sense fatigue and pain. The same as me. This girl, when I came across Master, I was like this.
She is looking at me, with those emerald eyes. The same way I looked, when searching for a Master. When I searched for my Master, I looked like that. That's what Master told me. She described what it was to me and this is what I looked like.
I sense power from this girl. What I sense seems to be holy power. What is this girl? And why is she looking at me...she is like me. A female me. She has the look anyway. The look of wanting to be accepted.
I went over to her and helped her up. She seems to be someone I could connect to easily. The same look. The same, look for a Master. I remember. It was a dark time. Not having anyone to serve. I know this look all too well.
"Are you, my Master?"
She asked me something like that.
"What do you mean, female? I am not a Master. I am a servant. You have mistaken me for someone else."
"But...I was drawn to this place. And you, have the highest ranking power around, bar the immense power coming from that direction."
She pointed behind me, the place where Le Fay-san, Ophis-sama and I call home.
"Yes, the Dragon God Ophis-sama is in that direction. So, even with the barriers we placed around her, you can still sense her. Girl, what is your designation?"
"Ikaros, Master."
"Ikaros-san. Why do you search for a Master?"
"That is, what I have always been told. I need to have a Master. I, am drawn to you. This place, this time. This wasn't a coincidence. You have to become this girls Master."
I have become her Master huh. What a strange turn of events...but not unheard of. This...I was wondering why I needed to have a walk this evening. Was this girl drawing me to her? I felt like I was being pulled but for this girl to pull me here is unexpected.
"What race are you, Ikaros-san?"
"I am a half Angel, half human Master."
Half Angel...she's a half Angel half human hybrid. I can sense power from the girl. Is this what Master was like when she found me? This girls power is...interesting indeed. I don't know what it is but it is very powerful and unique.
"A half Angel, half human hybrid. Strange. A half Angel, half human hybrid would've been revered at the Church due to your status. So tell me, why aren't you at the Church right now? With you acclaimed status, the Church would've coveted you."
"I was abandoned and I haven't known anything but servitude."
"I see. It sounds vaguely familiar. Ikaros-san, if I am your Master, you must follow everything I say, without hesitation. Are these terms acceptable?"
"Yes Master. I, wish to serve you."
"We are alike. I also have a Master. Can you walk? You seem to have been travelling for awhile now."
She looks down at her legs, seemingly checking herself over, then looked back up at me once finishing that checking over.
"I have been Master. I, needed to find the right Master, for me. No one else has come close before. I...seem to be weak from hunger. I will make the necessary arrangements for food."
I sighed and picked her up bridal style. I don't sense deceit. Her thoughts truly match what she is saying. She is a servant like me. I understand the pain more than anyone could. Not having a Master...not being able to have an understanding on the world around you. This girl, is my servant now. Like Vali-sama, I will treat her right. Servants having servants, strange. I have a servant. Le Fay-san will express anger at this, I know she will.
"Master is carrying me...? Why?"
"Because you are weak from hunger. I will get you food to consume. Then we are going to get cake for Ophis-sama and Le Fay-san. Then we will return home where you can have an evening of rest."
"Master is generous. Carrying his servant. Master is very accepting of his new role. Is there a reason?"
"I am the same as you. I cannot function without a Master. I will be your Master if you have chosen me. I chose my Master and I am happy with my Master. I will make sure you also be happy. And I will get Le Fay-san to help you with emotions. You seem to have a similar understanding of emotions that I do. She gives me lessons on emotions also. They are quite informative. So far, the results haven't shown much but Le Fay-san says that the results are in the long term rather than the short term."
"I understand Masters reasoning's. But how does Master know all of this about me?"
"I can read your mind Ikaros-san. And I plan to do a mind walk on you later to find out what has happened in your life and to see if you aren't from an enemy. Understand that it isn't personal. I just need to make sure that you aren't an enemy for Le Fay-sans sake, Ophis-sama's sake and of course my Masters sake."
"I understand Master."
I'm not going to tell her to stop calling me Master like Vali-sama does. If Master would allow me, then I would call her Master all the time.
"Lets go."
So, we left that place with her in my arms. Maybe it was fate for me to find this girl. Unless she somehow made me drawn to her. I don't know how. Maybe she wasn't conscious of it but she must've done something to draw me to her.
We got her some food, and then we got some cake for Ophis-sama and started heading home. It seems Ikaros-san is still a little weak so I ended up carrying her as she rested the cake on her lap. But that's when I felt something...ooh, its her. I was wondering how long it would take for her to track us down.
"Hey Nii-chan! Nii-chan!"
I sighed to myself and continued on home. The voice came from behind me.
"Hey! Don't ignore me Nii-chan!"
"Master, some girl appears to be calling to you."
Ikaros-san said to me. I rolled my eyes and answered her.
"Yes, you can ignore her."
"Okay Master."
As we walked on, a bubble of light appeared in front of me, and the girl who was calling to me has appeared. The girl with pale pink hair has appeared. She has a ponytail is on the left side of her head. She's dressed in black dress that is adorned with feathers. It is like gothic lolita clothing. Ones that I remember all too well. Ever since she came to us the first time.
She stuck out her tongue in a playful manner while winking with that same playful attitude.
"Ooo, Nii-chan was like ignoring little cute me~?"
"Don't call me Nii-chan."
"Iyaaaaaa~ Nii-chan is being as aggressive as always~! Is it, because Nii-chan is sexually frustrated? Not been giving Vali-chan the good old poke poke poke~?"
She made a hole with her fingers and used another finger to poke through the hole. I know what she is insinuating but that's Masters choice, when we do things.
"Get out of my way."
"Muuuuuuu~ What a naughty way of asking me to move. You could say "Please gentle little girl, could you move out of my way~?" or "You sure are darn cute. But I'm in a hurry so could you perhaps stand to the side?" Wouldn't that be better Nii-chan?"
"Just move out of the way."
The girl pouts at me, but I just stare at her.
"Geez, don't you ever crack a smile? Even with me, the cute girl here, you don't move? Why is that Nii-chan? Even just a simple raise of the corners of your mouth would be, enjoyable to see, don't you think, Nii-chan?"
"Whatever. I'm busy, so move."
She was about to refute me, but she noticed Ikaros-san in my arms and adopts a wide smile.
"I see. So, Nii-chan is doing incredible things in the night time now? What will Vali-chan think about this?"
"Master will be pleased with what I've done. So if you have nothing to add, I am going."
"B-But! I do have something to add. You know, even if I am a little trickster, I am useful at something's, right?"
She's a little useful at intelligence gathering, even if she is extremely annoying and playful. But she isn't even on the Vali Team. She has said that she is but Master has never acknowledged her place on the team so I don't consider this person on the team.
"Just add what you will, I have to get this girl home and bring cake to Ophis-sama."
Hearing the name, she became a little less...playful.
"N-No way. The Dragon God is in this town right now? What would the Dragon God-sama be doing here?"
"None of your business. So what do you want to add?"
"Oh, so you will listen to me now? Before it was "Move out of my way!" now it is "So what do you want to add?" It seems even Nii-chan gets curious as to what I have to say sometime's. So, guess what I found out? It involves a certain naughty Fallen Angel that looks like a bat creature. Say, why does he look like a bat anyway? All other Fallen Angels look like they are human, yet he looks like a bat. Is he trying to give Batman a bad name now? How cruel of him."
"Kokabiel you mean, right? I, don't know why he doesn't look human. Maybe someone's messed up when they made him. Who knows. But, state what you know about him."
"Ooh, not going to read my mind? Oh, that's right, you can't. I've found away around that little trick huh."
"Just because it takes more effort, doesn't mean I can't read your mind. And I could always beat it out of you."
She raises a finger to her lips and shakes in a fake scared manner.
"Sooooooooo~ Nii-chan has a scary side also? Fine, I will let you know what I have found out. I wouldn't want a beating now. Excalibur, that naughty holy sword has begun to move."
"Begun to move? In what sense?"
"I'll spell it out for you. Kokabiel is plotting to steal the holy swords Excalibur so Angels and Devils alike move for battle. You know, cause another war. Isn't that what he, that naughty Fallen Angel desires?"
So he has begun to move. He has had thoughts about starting a war for years now. So he really is going to be causing trouble soon.
"For this information, what do you want in return? If its you, you always want something in return."
"Muuuu, you are making me sound like a devious Devil when I'm just a nice cute girl with no hidden agenda. But if there was anything I want then..."
She moved closer to me, wrapped her arms around one of my arms and hung off my arm.
"...Even a girl like me gets lonely at night. So, how about we go and do something that will really make your head spin?"
"Sorry, if you are implying about intercourse then I'm afraid to disappoint you but Vali-sama has my virginity. After that, we'll talk."
I said with a sigh as Ikaros-san looks at the girl with a head tilt. However, that doesn't really faze the girl with habits that aren't the best.
"Eh? You and her still haven't done it yet? Geez, what's wrong with her? If its you, then I thought she would've raped you by now. But, wow she has lots of self control. She must be a very suppressing girl. Maybe she's wanting it but doesn't know how to do it? Hasn't she had sex education? Maybe that's why she hesitates. All she has to do is lay there, isn't it? You'd do the rest."
"Vulgar as always. But Master does know how to have sex. She often has thoughts about the positions we will be in. But, excuse me. I have to leave now. Don't follow me."
I walked off with Ikaros-san but I felt her following me from behind. More like, she has a tight hold of my shirt and wont let go. Le Fay-san isn't going to like this. She doesn't get along well with this girl following me.
"Why are you following me? I just said not to follow me."
"Because, its fun! I want to have fun after all."
"No, you are afraid of being alone. Its a big fear of yours. You think I don't know but I know about how afraid you are of being alone."
I stated to her. She stopped in her tracks and I continued forward. I then hear sobbing behind me. I turned and saw a single tear roll down her face.
"Please don't leave me all alone..."
Maybe its the humanity in me, or maybe its because Le Fay-san has told me that I should help people. Even if Le Fay-san doesn't like this person.
"Promise not to annoy Le Fay-san and you can come."
"Kay! I don't annoy her anyway. Its her that starts all the time~"
I sighed and gestured her with my head to follow me. So she took that as a "Come over and you can hold my arm!" And that's what she did. She's got a tight hold of my arm.
We three then continue back until we reach the apartment. I know this isn't going to go well. Le Fay-san has never liked this girl and I don't think she will start now. And as for Ikaros-san, she's just like me. I can see us connecting in a big way.
"Open the door."
I ordered the gothic lolita girl.
"Not even a please? You know, manners don't cost anything."
She wags her finger at me, with her tongue stuck out.
"Just do it."
"Fine~ Its time to see bunny rabbit anyway~"
She opened the door, seemingly without a care in the world. I can never get a good read on her. She's mysterious yet playful and insightful at the same time. It is a very strange thing indeed.
"Hey Makoto-kun you took along..."
Le Fay-san noticed the girl she dislikes. She takes a sharp breath and glares harshly as the girl winks back at her.
"Hey bunny rabbit~!"
"You...Lumina..."
"That's me bunny rabbit~ What a reunion huh bunny rabbit~"
"Stop calling me bunny rabbit!"
Lumina-san shook her head at Le Fay-san with a giggle who growled. But then she noticed the girl in my arms, and frowned.
"Who is this girl? You go out for a walk and come back with a girl and...Lumina."
"This girl is called Ikaros-san. She said that I am her new Master and Lumina-san followed us after finding us. She has some useful information for a change."
Le Fay-san looked taken back by the new Master bit. I looked to Ophis-sama who is looking at all of us with a disinterested gaze. I suppose she wants her cake. Ophis-sama doesn't do much besides eats and watches television. Isn't she going to get fat? But, she can change her physical appearance? Either way, it isn't good for her to sit around all day.
"Muu~ What do you mean, for a change? I'm always insightful, isn't that right bunny rabbit~?"
"You call me that again and I am going to kill you!"
Lumina-san laughs right in Le Fay-sans face who clenches her fists tightly.
"Now now bunny rabbit~ Don't be so naughty all of a sudden. Its our long awaited reunion. You, me, Nii-chan, servant girl and...D-Dragon God-sama. Don't you think this is a little perfect? While the servant is away from the Master, haven't you thought about just tying him down and...having your way with his body?"
Lumina-san sent a sultry smirk at the blushing Le Fay-san. Le Fay-san blush became so dark that it is like someone painted her face red as she shook her head. I placed Ikaros-san on the ground so she can have a little rest. I went over to Ophis-sama and handed her the cake. She looks appreciative but hasn't said anything.
"S-Shut up baka! As if I would stoop to your level!"
"But, my level is all the more fun. Even playing housemaid is fun, you know? Why don't we play housemaid and Master? Myself as the housemaid. Nii-chan here as the Master who loves his cute housemaid. Then there's you, of course you can be the gardener that no one cares about."
"That's it!"
Le Fay-san rushed to the kitchen, pulled out a big knife then went slashing at Lumina-san. I calmly got behind her and held her back.
"GET OFF ME! I'M GOING TO KILL HER!"
"Don't let her win Le Fay-san. That's what that girl wants."
"He's right you know? I love it when you get serious. Its all funny when you think you can hold a candle to me bunny rabbit."
"DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Le Fay-san threw the knife at her, but Lumina-san teleported out of the way. She reappeared near the bedroom door.
"Missed me~ Missed me~ But you're not going to get to kiss me~"
"I HATE YOU LUMINA!"
"Love you too bunny rabbit~"
Le Fay-san was brought to tears as Lumina-san came up to me, stroked my face and sent Le Fay-san a look. Le Fay-san looks beaten and isn't really responding. She's even sank to the floor in a depressed manner. It seems their rivalry goes deeper than I once thought.
"You know Nii-chan. Since you're away from your Master, its time to spread those wings and fly high into the sky~ By that I mean, its finally time for you to have some fun~ Kuroka-chan has been trying to come you know? But, Vali-chan said that she would only try and rape you so, she's in the dog house, or cat house hehehe~"
"She better not be coming here..."
"What was that bunny rabbit~?"
Lumina-san leaned down and patted Le Fay-sans head, not caring about the look from the girl.
"Just leave me alone...Lumina..."
"Uuuu, bunny rabbit is in a bad place huh. Hehe, bunny rabbit wishes for alone time with Nii-chan huh."
"I-I do get alone time with him...more than you airhead."
Lumina-san snorted at Le Fay-san who just looks annoyed.
"What a common insult. I thought the great bunny rabbit would come up with something better. But! I need a bath! Say Nii-chan, where's the bathroom? I wish to bathe~"
"That way. Don't make a mess."
I pointed to the door. She looked at it then looked at me.
"Want to join me Nii-chan~? We could embrace each other in the bath, then who knows where it could lead~ Maybe we could even procreate~"
"SHUT UP LUMINA! GET IN THAT BATH BEFORE I DROWN YOU!"
Lumina-san wags her finger at Le Fay-san.
"Nahahaha~ Don't yell bunny rabbit~ Its not very ladylike~ Then again, I'm sure you don't know anything about being a lady~"
Le Fay-san stood up and took a swing at Lumina-san who teleported away in that bright bubble again. She reappeared at the bathroom door and pointed at Le Fay-san.
"Better luck next time, bunny rabbit~ I'll leave the door unlocked Nii-chan if you happen to want to slip into the bath with me~ Or just slip into me~ Whatever works for you~"
"You really are a whore Lumina!"
"Takes one to know one~"
With a dirty giggle, Lumina-san entered the bathroom and closed the door behind her. I turned to Le Fay-san to see her glaring at the door intently.
"She better sleep with one eye open if she intends to stay here."
I shook my head and went over to Ikaros-san and sat directly in front of her.
"Is there something I can do for you Master?"
"No. I am going to mind walk you now. Just to warn you. It might feel a little strange but I promise that it wont hurt you. Do you believe me Ikaros-san?"
"Yes, I believe Master. Go ahead Master."
"Thank you. If you seem to be fine, which I think you are, then I will look after you like Master looks after me. This is only a formality after all. I believe that we are of a similar kind."
Ikaros-san looks at me with nearly no emotion, but her thoughts tell me that she is happy that she has found a Master. I know that I can keep her...safe. For some reason, I feel like I have to look after her. But Lumina-san...is going to be a problem.
Well, I will leave it there! Two new characters have been introduced! Ikaros from Heaven's Lost Property and Lumina from the Final Fantasy game series. How they tie in with the story, well Ikaros is Makoto's servant and they will help one another in certain ways. And Lumina, well she's someone from Makoto's past that even he doesn't know about yet. Well, until next chapter!
