"This is getting ridiculous," Severus sighed as he helped his godmother with the frozen patients.

Poppy said nothing as she checked on Hermione Granger the newest admittance.

"All students report to your dormitories. All staff to the second floor corridor immediately," Minerva's voice suddenly projected through out the castle.

The mediwitch and Potion's Master shared a look before running off. They reached the corridor roughly the same time the others did. Snape stood by his mother seeing the bloody message.

Her skeleton will lie in the Chamber forever.

"We're going to have to close the school," Minerva sighed.

"Who has the monster taken Minerva?" Poppy frowned.

"Ginny Weasley," the professor said softly.

Gilderoy sudden stumbled up fixing his hair.

"So sorry I dozed off. What did I miss?"

"You're moment of time has arrived Lockhart. A girl was taken into the chambers. Didn't you tell me this morning you knew where the chamber was?" Snape smirked.

"I...well that is to say..."

Following her son's train of thought Minerva smirked, "We'll leave you to deal with the monster then Gilderoy. Your skills after all are legend."

"AH yes very well. I'll just pop up to my room for a few things and then I'll tackle the job," he smiled and walked off rather quickly.

"That will get him out of our hair for now. What are we going to do?" Severus asked.

"Sorry I'm late but...what?" Cytheria stared at them as the blinked at her.

"Where on earth have you been I have seen you since Christmas Eve Night!" Minerva shrilled.

"That was almost five months ago Cytheria," Filius squeaked.

"Well I went roaming through the castle and I...well doesn't matter. I just realized something about the Chamber."

"Tell us please. The monster took a student," Poppy stated.

"Oh who?" Cytheria asked curiously.

"Why does that matter?" Hooch frowned.

"It does actually."

"It was Ginny Weasley a..." "A pureblood!? Then I'm right!"

"Right about what?" Snape frowned.

"No time to explain, but you and Minerva can help me come on," she said running towards the library. They followed her.

"Weasley!" Snape glared when he, Minerva, and Cytheria landed at the bottom of the chamber of secrets.

Ron jumped at the voice and dropped the large rock he had been holding, it fell on Lockhart's head knocking him out again.

"How did you..."

"Doesn't matter Ron. Is Daniel that way?" Cytheria asked looking at the rock formation.

The Gryffindor nodded.

"Severus help him move the rocks. We'll help Daniel," Cytheria stated as she and Minerva turned into their cat forms and crawled through the small hole Ron had managed to make so far.

The women arrived just as Phawkes had blinded the Baskilisk. Daniel nearly ran into the two as the snake chased him.

"He told the snake to ignore me," Daniel shouted trying to pull the women out of the way.

Cytheria pulled her grandson behind her and stood still holding up her hand. She shut her eyes pulling the magic of the castle to her as she unwrapped her hand and revealed her crescent moon scar.

The giant snake paused his tongue sliding from his mouth tasting the smells of the air.

"Attack!" Tom Riddle's figure hissed.

"Cease," Cytheria hissed.

"Do not listen to her I am the heir of Slytherin!" Tom hissed.

"Cease by order of Salazar and Rowena your masters!" she hissed.

The snake rose slightly its head pointing down at her.

"I did not know the child lived."

"Godric protected him. He became a clan. I am his heir. You are bound to the castle and so to me."

"You smell of eternal life in death."

"Yes. I cast the spell over 50 years ago when that boy first touched my child. There is nothing in his soul. You have been attacking innocents once again as you did 50 years ago. I have finally found you. I can help you."

"I have been so hungry."

"Cease and all will be well."

Minerva could not understand a word passed between her mother and the Basilisk but she knew it worked as the snake laid down in submission.

Riddle screamed in rage and used Daniel's wand on the old woman attacking her ferociously.

Cytheria was able to hold her own and eventually shot the wand out of his hand.

His eyes were livid but she smirked. "No matter I will soon be full realized."

"He's draining Ginny's life with that Diary," Daniel stated.

Cytheria looked at the girl and back to the Diary. She picked it up and tossed it to Daniel, "Feed the snake baby."

Daniel looked at his mother who shrugged and nodded. Riddle ran towards them but was to late. The snake's teeth pierced the leather binding and the Diary oozed ink like blood. Voldemort screamed in pain as his body dissolved in light and Ginny instantly woke up.

"Professor...Daniel...I'm sorry. I didn't...Riddle made me..."

"It's alright Ginny. At least you are ok," Minerva smiled.

"Let's get you to the Hospital Wing. My name's Cytheria by the way. I'm Daniel's old granny," The woman smiled and picked Ginny up.
