Once We had walked out of the lab, Fiona pulled out a warp ring and through it. Immediately the ring expanded and revealed a forest on the other side. I watched as the portal slowly opened, and walked through. Once the whole group had gotten through, Scourge walked ahead and smirked at me. "Welcome to Angel Island, Jaz." he said, an evil grin spread across his face as he swept his hand across to the island. I didn't say anything. I could not. But inside I felt like screaming and wiping that smirk off his face. Instead, I simply walked on and glanced every now and then at the glowing emerald then back to the forest.

I didn't know anything about this island or even where I was going for that matter. An even bigger question was, why wasn't the emerald reacting to me? Why wasn't it turning red like it did before? I was completely confused. Nothing made sense to me anymore. As I continued on, the soft glow of the emerald suddenly grew brighter and my body stopped in its tracks. My head turned to the emerald. My hand shot out the left side of me and the emerald grew brighter. I took a step in that direction and inside of me somewhere, I felt a pull. Like something was calling out to me. My head turned again, this time towards the Destructix and pointed in the direction I felt the strange pull. Whether they understood or not, I left and headed in that direction. I could hear the one called Fiona speaking quietly to someone beside her, my guess, Scourge. "Where's she going? That's the wrong way!" she hissed. I could feel her eyes on me but I didn't look. Suddenly I heard Scourge whispering back. "Shut it, Fi, Jasmine's not the only one there. Dr. Finitevus is probably listening to every word we're saying!" he hissed at her. I could feel her eyes turn away from me to look at Scourge. She didn't reply back but I could tell she was nervous. I didn't blame her. The glow of the emerald grew brighter, almost blinding me. My heart stopped when I heard Finitevus' voice in my head. "We're almost there."

"How do you know?" I heard Scourge ask and that's when I realized that the one speaking was me. My heart thudded against my chest, Finitevus had absolute control over me. Only I could hear him. The Destructix couldn't, they heard me speaking instead! I felt my arm go up and again I heard Finitevus inside my head, "I can feel a strong power emanating in that direction."

My head turned and looked at the emerald in my hands. I felt anger boil inside me like hot lava. Here I was on Angel Island with the Destructix, and what was worse, I was going to help them steal the Master Emerald! What's so important about this emerald anyway? I thought. Suddenly I heard Finitevus chuckle. "The Master Emerald is more than just a gem my dear. The Master Emerald is a source of great power. It's the whole reason why this Island is even floating to begin with!" I heard him reply.

"But what does this have to do with me?" I asked, completely confused. Finitevus laughed darkly and I could imagine the evil grin he was wearing, that was enough to send a shiver through my spine. "My dear, you have an extraordinary gift. A gift that is very useful; especially for this occasion."

"What are you going to do?"

I heard him chuckle. "I know that Sonic is searching for you. As a matter of fact, he's inside my home as of right now searching for the lab. He seeks to free you. It's a shame that he will not live to see the beginning of the new world." He laughed and my heart stopped. Sonic? He was there?

"Finitevus, if you hurt him-"

"You have no need to worry about him, my dear. You have more important things to worry about. Like retrieving the Master Emerald for me."

And with those final words said, Finitevus cut the communication between him and me and left me, worrying for my unexpecting friends and what was to become of them. I felt a tear form in the corners of my eyes and with a heavy heart continued on my way to find the Master Emerald with nothing but a prayer that they would be alright.

Finitevus smiled darkly as he watched the tears form in Jasmine's eyes and slowly trickle down her face. He turned and got up from his seat and picked up a collar similar to Jasmine's. He chuckled with amusement as he looked at the collar in his hands. Everything was falling into place. Once the intruders made their way in, searching for her, he would surprise them. The foolish guardian and his friends would no longer be there to stop him. This time, they'd be helping him fulfill his plan; creating the world into a new. He chuckled at this then turned to face the door, patiently waiting for his victims.

Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow turned down another hallways, finally coming face to face with two large doors. "This is it." Knuckles walked a few inches closer to the door then glanced back. "Finitevus probably already knows we're coming."

"I don't care if he is or not. He has Jasmine and unless we get her out now, she won't survive much longer..." his voice began to rise and his fists tightened. "The only reason why she's here, is because she was trying to protect me. I'm not leaving here without her." he said more firmly and fixed his gaze on the door. Knuckles sighed. "Look Sonic, I'm not the bad guy here. I want her out of there as much as you do. I know what Finitevus is capable of, what he does to people and nobody deserves that. I'm just saying that we have to be prepared for anything he might throw at us." he said gently placing a hand on Sonic's shoulder. "Sorry, Rad Red. I wasn't meaning to snap at you like that... I'm just worried that we might be too late..."

Shadow, who had been standing in silence during the entire conversation watched as the doors suddenly opened, revealing a dim-lit laboratory. "Sonic." he said gruffly. Sonic looked up and glanced at the now open doors, a grim expression across his face. He started to make his way to the doors when Knuckles suddenly grabbed his arm. "Wait..." he paused and looked at the room cautiously. "I'll go first..." Sonic looked at his friend, surprised. With a look of determination, Knuckles entered the lab, glancing around in full alert. Finitevus was somewhere in here. A flash of white caught his attention and he whirled around to face it, fists up and raised, ready to fight. Nothing. His stance relaxed a little but he looked around. He could have sworn he was there. With a frustrated growl, Knuckles suddenly punched a computer with a strong force, causing the screen to shatter, bits and pieces of the computer's hardware came out. "Finitevus! Show yourself!" he snarled. He saw more movement from the corner of his eye and again made another lunge for whoever it was. It wasn't until it was too late that he saw the warp ring open large enough to fit his fist through, before he could stop himself, his hand went through the warp ring which tightened almost immediately.

Knuckles growled and yanked at his arm, trying to pry his hand loose, but it wouldn't budge. "Knuckles? Are you alright?" Sonic called. Knuckles turned away from his arm and barked, "Stay outside! It's a trap!"

A dark chuckle suddenly emanated from the dark and Finitevus appeared, a cruel grin displayed across his face. "It's too late for that, guardian." he said darkly. Knuckles glared at him angrily. "Where's Jasmine?" he said coldly. Finitevus smiled. "She is off helping the Destructix retrieve the Master Emerald for me." he said coolly, returning Knuckles glare with a bone-chilling smile. Knuckles growled then smirked. "The Chaotix won't let you. They'll stop them from even getting anywhere near the emerald." he said. Finitevus frowned. "We shall soon see, guardian." he said coldly.
"Knuckles!" Sonic called. Knuckles glanced in his direction. "Sonic, get out of here!" he yelled. Sonic looked at him then back at Finitevus, an angry growl coming from his throat. Finitevus laughed. "You cannot leave. None of you can..." he said and hurtled two familiar grey collars at Sonic and Shadow.

"Here they come."

"Hey! I can't see!"

"Charmy!"

The bee whizzed out of the way just as a hand started to wave around, trying to swat the young bee out of the way. Charmy stuck his tongue out and pouted. "That wasn't very nice, Vector." he whined. Vector, a large green crocodile glared in Charmy's direction causing the little bee to hide behind a red armadillo. "Help!" he squealed.

"Both of you knock it off! I can hear someone coming."

The two stopped as a purple chameleon suddenly reappeared in front of the trio, annoyed. "Heh, sorry Espio." Vector rubbed the back of his head and smiled. Espio, who had been on the lookout for any sign of suspicious activity looked up at the massive crocodile, his arms folded. "So... what did you find?" Vector continued, changing the subject.

"The Destructix are here." he said grimly. The air seemed to suddenly turn cold and everyone fell into an unsettling silence. Vector cracked his knuckles angrily and an evil smirk spread across his face. "You think they're here for the emerald?"

"That is my suspicion." Espio paused, "But I have also discovered that they have a new member in their midst." he said. Vector's eyes widened and his arms fell to his sides. "Who do they have now?"

"A girl hedgehog, and she's leading them here." Espio said and turned his head, puzzled. "But I've never seen her before." He turned his head once again and looked at Vector. The crocodile's eyes furrowed and he folded his arms. "Well then, let's give them a big warm welcome."

We had walked for over an hour before we came into a clearing. My head turned from one side to another, looking around. It was strange. Seeing things and moving, yet not being able to control a single thing. It was like watching a movie. Only this was far from fantasy as it could get. Suddenly something caught my eye and I could see a large green emerald sitting above a temple-like altar shining in the sunlight. I could feel my heart thumping hard against my chest. This was it. This was what Finitevus was after. Scourge walked up beside me and grinned. He glanced at me and smirked as he rested his sunglasses atop his head. I stared blankly at him, pausing for a moment before moving towards the emerald. Finitevus! I screamed in my head. No answer. I felt tears sting the corners of my eyes. If he got his hands on that emerald, nothing good would come from it. Especially if it was just like the chaos emerald in my hand.

'Hello, Jasmine.' The sound of Finitevus' voice startled me from my thoughts. My teeth gritted in anger. 'What have you done with Sonic?' I felt my heart race faster. Anger rising to its boiling point. If something happened to him or he got hurt, the one true friend I haven't had in a long time...my mind went blank when I heard Finitevus chuckle darkly and I felt my blood freeze, terror gripping my heart. 'He is alive, Jasmine. He'll be joining you very soon as well as his little friends...' My eyes widened at this. Could he have gotten to Tails and Shadow as well? were they trapped too? My heart sank at the thought. 'What have you done to them?!' Finitevus chuckled again.

'You will find out very shortly. For now, get that emerald.' Finitevus's voice began to fade. 'Wait!' Finitevus' dark laughter was all that answered her before it grew silent once again. I felt my feet move towards the emerald. My mind spun with so many questions; what did he do to Sonic? What was going to happen once he got what he wanted? I wasn't sure what was going to happen but I knew it wasn't any good. I had to find a way to break free from this mind control. I couldn't allow Finitevus to win, at all costs. I tried to shut my eyes, trying to force them closed but it did no good. I tried to move my fingers. At first nothing happened and for a long time, and my heart sank. Slowly, with realization hitting me like a ton of bricks, I felt my fingers twitch and slowly close into a fist. My heart thudded in my chest with excitement and hope. Maybe I still had a chance.

I could hear Finitevus growl and I flinched, my eyes scrunching up like I had been slapped across the face. Wait. I could control my eyes! I was so focused on gaining back my body, I ran into something huge and green. My head tilted upwards to see a large crocodile glaring angrily down at me. His sharp teeth were flashing into a grin, smirking menacingly as he cracked his knuckles in a threatening notion. "Well, well, well, who do we have here?" The large crocodile asked and folded his arms across his chest. I felt a lump for in my throat. This guy was huge, and not just kind of! I could hear Finitevus speaking through me once again, only it didn't sound like my voice. It sounded much more dark and dangerous, making me shudder. "Move aside. I have business with that emerald." I said coldly, and I felt my eyes narrow up at the monstrous gator in front of me. The alligator just chuckled and shook his head. "And what makes you think that you can just come and do what you want with it?" His eyes grew into slits as he looked down at me, his form kneeling closer till his face was level with mine.

"Turn around and go back. I'm only warning you once." his voice grew low and menacing, and I couldn't help but mentally flinch with fear. I wanted to yell and scream for help. Call out and tell him it wasn't me, but how could I? My arms folded defiantly across my chest and a dark smirk danced across my lips. "And who's going to stop me? You and that pathetic group you call the Chaotix? I hardly believe it." I said darkly, a mocking tone dripping with every word I said. The crocodile's eyes sparked with surprise for a moment before it turned back into an angry snarl. "You're going nowhere near that emerald!" he roared and dove at me. As if Finitevus had expected this all along, I felt myself dodge in the nick of time. The large reptile skidded to a halt and whirled around to face me again, his eyes flashing with rage. I only grinned and motioned for the Destructix to come out.

"Well, if it isn't Vector." Scourge said as cracked his knuckles. Vector glared at each member before his eyes landed on me the rage was imminent in his eyes as he looked at Scourge. "You'll never get past the Chaotix. When Knuckles finds out you've been here-"

"Knuckles won't be joining you right now." I interrupted and smirked, arms folded. "He's a little...busy." Mentally, I flinched. I was the one speaking...and yet I wasn't. Whoever this Knuckles guy was, Finitevus had him and there was no telling what had happened to him. Vector's angry roar broke me away from my thoughts and I looked up to see him swing a fist towards me. I dodged and somehow ended up behind him. I glanced at Scourge and he looked at me. Vector roared and lashed his tail out and knocked me to the ground. I cried out as I fell and winced at the sharp pain in my head from the impact. Slowly, I stood back up. Scourge was whizzing in and out of the giant crocodile's view while Simian came up from behind and pinned him down. I felt myself move towards them when a voice spoke out. "Who are you?"

I whirled around to see a purple chameleon staring at me. I felt my lips curl into a dark smile. "Wouldn't you like to know." I said and folded my arms. I felt like screaming out. The chameleon frowned. "Yes, I would. Who are you and why are you here?" He asked. I shrugged. "Who I am and why I am here does not concern you." I replied. The chameleon folded his arms. "It does when you plan to take the emerald."

I smirked and furrowed my eyes. "Is that so? And what happens if I refuse to tell you anything at all?" The chameleon furrowed his eyes, studying me. I stood still and returned his gaze. For a moment we said nothing to each other and just stared. I wanted to let him know I was a good guy. I wanted to help but how could you possibly help someone when you can't even help yourself? I had to regain control and stop this. I focused on my hand and demanded it to move. Nothing. I flicked my eyes at him(since they seemed to be the only thing I actually could control), and tried to show him I wasn't bad. His glare trailed up my face and looked me in the eyes. I prayed he understood. His mouth opened slightly and a flash of surprise came across his face. Did he notice?

"I'm warning you one last time. Go back." Nope. Guess not. My heart sunk and I knew it was hopeless. I cackled and pointed at him mockingly. "Do you honestly believe I'm going to give up so easily? That emerald will be mine and nothing can stop me!" I roundhouse kicked at him but he dodged suddenly disappearing into thin air. My eyes wandered wildly, looking for him. Suddenly arms wrapped around my neck and arms, pinning me. I struggled to get out of the hold only to hear the chameleon hiss. "Keep still. I wish to speak to the one controlling this girl."

My eyes widened. So he did know. My arms went limp and all struggling ceased. A chuckle escaped my mouth. "Very good, Espio. How did you figure it out?"

"Don't play games with me, Finitevus. I know it's you. Why are you using this girl as a puppet? Let her go." Espio growled. Finitevus laughed. "I'm afraid that won't be necessary, you see, this girl is more than she appears to be. She has proven herself useful to me and I intend to do just that." he said. Espio growled and twirled me around to face him, pinning my arms to my sides. "I won't let you do this Finitevus. I'll only say this one last time. Let the girl go." I felt myself smile darkly. "And what makes you think I'll do that?"

Before Espio had time to react, my hand flicked upwards and Espio flew twenty yards away from where I was standing. I watched as he landed gracefully, skidding to a halt, his hand pressed against the ground to uphold his balance. He frowned. "I'm sorry to have to do this." he said and disappeared. I felt a smile crawl across my face and I got into fighting position. A body slammed against me and pinned me against a tree. Espio reappeared in front of me and tried reaching for my neck. I intercepted by grabbing his arm with my other hand and kicked into his stomach. The air was knocked out of him, giving me the chance to grab him by the shoulders and lift him up, tossing him towards Vector who was now up and about again, fighting Simian. I advanced towards them. "Your efforts are futile. I grow tired of your useless attempts, in the end I will be victorious and this world will be mine to create a new."

Vector's eyes widened. "Finitevus?"

I smiled. "In the flesh, or to be specific in another's flesh."

Vector looked at Espio. "What is she talking about?"

Espio grunted as he placed a hand on his chest and glanced up at me. "Finitevus has placed this girl's body under his control to follow through with his plans."

Vector looked troubled. "But Finitevus doesn't need another body. He has one of his own." Espio opened his mouth to reply before he was interrupted.

"You're right. I have no use for an individual's body."

Espio, Vector, and the Destructix glanced to the side of me as Finitevus appeared from a warp ring. He smiled at the two Chaotix members. "No, I only needed this girl's power to help me." he said and motioned towards me. My face was blank of emotion but I felt the fear and anger build up inside of me. Finitevus pulled out a device and smiled cruelly. "Allow me to introduce you to Jasmine." he said and pressed a button. The collar's green light faded away and I felt myself take complete control once again over my body. With a gasp I moved my hands in front of my face experimentally before glancing at Vector and Espio. Vector's mouth dropped but Espio frowned. I felt my hands shake. "I'm so sorry." I whispered. Finitevus chuckled. "Yes, she's quite different now isn't she?" he said as Scourge and Lightning walked to either side of me and grabbed my arms. Finitevus turned to me and walked forward. "You have been quite eager to find out about Sonic and his little friends." My throat suddenly felt dry and I felt a pit inside of my stomach. "What have you done to them?" I said. Finitevus smiled. "I'm so glad you asked. Here they are." He motioned towards the warp ring as a figure walked out of it. My eyes widened as more followed after. The warp ring came to a close, the light diminishing revealing the people in front of me. I shook my head, tears in my eyes. "NO!"

Sonic, Shadow, and who must be Knuckles stood in front of me. Blank faced and staring back at me blankly. Finitevus laughed darkly. "Yes, Jasmine! Look at Mobius' heroes; mindless and in my total control." he said and glanced back at me. I gritted my teeth and tried to throw myself at him but Scourge and Lightning pulled me back, forcing me to my knees. "Monster! Let them go!" I screamed. The white echidna smiled and came close to my face. "I'm afraid that cannot happen, my dear. They are a distraction to all I've worked for and I won't let them get in my way again." he said. My eyes furrowed and I bared my teeth at him. Finitevus looked away from me and faced Scourge. "Take care of our guests and search for the remainder of their team." he said. Scourge nodded then motioned to me. "What do I do with her?" he asked.

Finitevus turned away from him and walked towards the captured heroes. "Put her with the rest of them. I have something that I must do." he said as he opened another warp ring and disappeared through it, leaving us to our fate.

Hey guys and sorry for the LOOOOOONG wait but I finally finished this chapter! I had a hard time plotting out what was to happen next; my original plan wasn't good enough for me so I had to come up with a better one.

Sonic: Finally! That took so much longer than it should have! *playfully punches me in the arm*

Me: *sweat drop* Yeah I know, but hey it's finally done!

Sonic: *folds his arms and rolls his eyes*

Shadow: *shakes head and face palms* This is humiliating, the Ultimate Life Form cannot be captured so easily.

Me: Well sorry Mr. Invincible.
