Chapter Thirteen

Back to the Present

Many were all staring in amazement.

The Naberries. Darred and Sola. Their daughers, Ryoo and Pooja.

Borther Wallé and a few other members who joined them in listening to Agolerga's tale.

They didn't know what was more amazing. That one of brothers married someone after three hundred years or that he could remember something from that long ago, but not what he had for breakfast this morning.

Sola was the first to speak to him, "Thank you Agolerga." For speaking with them. Telling her. Something he did not even have to do in the first place.

"It was my pleasure," the man smiled at her.

She kissed the ring on his hand and turned to find her daughters. Ryoo and Pooja, who were still stunned, but full of different emotions. It wasn't every day that one learned their hero was in fact their uncle. The thought and discovery was joyous, unimaginable, and ground-breaking. They gained an uncle‑"Uncle Anakin" they each said in a quiet unison‑with smiles on their faces. And sadness too also marked this occasion. It was like losing him‑their hero‑their uncle all over again on this day.

It wasn't just Aunt Padmé they cried for at her funeral, the sisters cried for him too.

Their mother came up to them. "Can you two go and get your brother?" Ruwee was at music lessons.

"I would," Pooja said. She looked at her wrist chrono, "but I have an appointment in less than an hour."

Sola sighed. She was proud of her middle child, but both loved and hated how much her daughter was truly like her sister. She was a giver, fearless, hopelessly in love with her work. In democracy. In restoring the Republic…much like the Alliance. Yes, Sola long suspected her daughter's double life. Though Pooja had tried to hide it, much like Padmé tried to hide her relationship with Anakin, Sola saw right through Pooja.

She also had a feeling Pooja following in her Aunt's footsteps wasn't going to stop with simply being Princess of Theed. There were whispers that Senator Binks would be retiring this standard year.

Sola knew that unless her daughter lost the election‑unlikely. Given her family name. She was going to Coruscant. The heart of the Empire. At Emperor's Palpatine's doorstep. Sola knew that there was not a thing in the world she could do about it.

"I can do it." Ryoo said. Waking Sola from her thoughts.

"Don't you have to go to work?"

"I took tonight off." her eldest said.

Ryoo probably felt her should be with her family today. Ryoo worked at the museum, but her true passion was as an artist.

"Besides I should already be there if I were coming." Checking her own chrono.

Sola hadn't realized where the time had gone. "Thank you." Sola hugged each of them goodbye.

As they left, Sola watched across the room as her husband talk with the members of the Brotherhood. She knew her husband and he wasn't using his friendly tone or simply saying farewell. While she hadn't actually spoken to most of the Brotherhood, minus Wallé and Agolerga. Most of them did not seem happy with whatever Darred was saying. Wallé, in fact, looked appalled. "What was that all about?" Sola asked curiously and cautiously when he came to her side to rejoin her.

Darred was making sure no one up here would breathe word to the Galactic Imperial press or any other being. "Do you want your sister's legacy to simply be that she was secretly wed to the Hero with No Fear?" Darred liked and respected his sister-in-law and missed her. He didn't always agree with her, and at the moment, he wasn't thrilled that she was involved in something so incredibly scandalous. It sounded a tad selfish, but he could only imagine how it would have impacted his family if it came out. So he was checking to make sure none of this would be reported to the Imperial press. All of the brothers said that they wouldn't. However, it probably wouldn't stop him from checking in with his friends at the Theed attorney's office, just in case.

Sola wasn't certain if she really cared. "It doesn't matter what people would think, it's irrelevant." she glared at her husband for sounding like her father.

Darred sighed and decided to change the subject. Neither were in the mood for an argument. "Ready to go home?" He needed to head back to his office to get his presentations ready for next week.

"Not quite yet."

Also let me know of any wishes or requests for The Scroll Episode III. I won't make any promises, but I'm willing to listen to any ideas. I only have a three chapters down so it's still early. I'm not going to say much about Scroll III, I don't want to spoil it too much, but I will say it does take place in 36 ABY.
