Authors Notes: I didn't want it to take so long, and I am very sorry, I hope this is good, and hope it was worth the wait.
You might think that Jackal's a poor pup, but you'd be very mistaken, it was the life he chose, as his father had once and the life his mother had left. Tramp and Scamp began to walk back to where they'd left the others, but it was once again in awkward silence. And it was problematic for Tramp and Scamp, as they had a lot to get off their backs.
But Lady was having her own small problems.
She had three times turned back in her fear, and now as she saw Al wake up she told herself there was no turning back. She couldn't shout for the pups to get back from there, that would just wake up the alligator even more and therefore put her pups in danger... she cared little for the other two... even if that did sound a little heartless... they'd put her whole family in danger, her relationship with Tramp was beginning to crumble between their paws.
She neared the alligator cage and swallowed.
"Danielle, Collette, pups, come back please." She whispered, but only Danielle heard her mothers plea, she nudged her sister and began to walk other to their mother.
Lady smiled as her pups snuggled into her, but she felt a pang of guilt in her heart as she began to leave, and glanced back at the other two, she groaned, telling her two daughters to head towards the exit and where they had left Tramp, Scamp and the others, and then she began to make a second journey closer to the other pups who stood at the edge of the alligator cage in amazement, Lady had an idea, she hoped it would work.
"Oh Al." She called from the other end of the cage, the other two pups looked up at her in shock, she ushered with her head for them to get away from the cage as she distracted the alligator. He swam close to Lady whose heartbeat quickened in fear as his closeness became more dangerous. "Remember me, big boy?" she asked, she didn't feel comfortable with how she was sounding... slightly seductive, but it was working, the alligator nodded and smiled at her, "Remember how close you was to eating me?" she asked, he smiled again, each time his bright, white teethed, smile getting bigger. Then the next thing she said was out of a heart-aching memory of the love she was slowly losing, "Remember who saved me?" she asked, and he glared.
"Tramp!" he snarled in a whisper, and she smirked, "Yeah, Tramp! But he's not here this time, so you can have a midnight snack, go ahead, nobodies going to stop you." She said, she couldn't believe her own words, the words that she spoke. She had thought that because the love they had once shared was now gone, Tramp wouldn't come to save her.
As the alligator opened his mouth wide she closed her eyes and stood on the spot.
She expected to feel pain and then, nothing. But she felt a surprising pain on her behind and then an ache, she was slightly confused, she opened her eyes and saw Tramp looking down at her in concern, "Pidge?" he asked slightly out of breath, had he been running, she looked up at him and deep in his eyes, she saw concern, hurt and sorrow. He looked painfully worried and it was real worry she saw in his eyes. "Pidge you ok?" he asked again, she nodded before snuggling into his side, the other three pups – Scamp, Danielle and Collette – all snuggled into either their mom or their pop.
And Scamp shocked them, "Dad, I'm sorry." He said his eyes were watery and it was the first time anyone of them had actually heard him say that to his dad with tears in his eyes, Tramp shook his head in response and in shame he hung his head, "No, son, I'm sorry." He said. None of them expected Scamp to snuggle into his pop whilst in tears.
Then Daisy cleared her throat, Ziggy was pushing her forward, "Tramp... Lady... we're, uh, we're sorry too. We shouldn't have run away, and we certainly shouldn't ave tried to ruin your family, but if you don't mind... we'd like to find our other brother." She said in a quiet tone.
Tramp and Scamp hung their heads then. "Sorry, but Jackal..." they started, they were rudely interuptted by Daisy laughing, "Oh, no, not Jackal, we've known for a while he was a bit of a wild dog... well crazy, more or less, we meant Wolf." She explained, Ziggy then walked beside her in excitment, "Yeah, yeah! Wolf's like... the clever one." He said.
Clever one? If Wolf was the clever one then why didn't he just tell the others to stay outside Vinny's? Tramp thought to himself with a glare.
And he was right to think that... whilst all the other dogs were apologising, Wolf, Angel and Annette were having issues with the fat cat that Wolf somehow knew.
Authors Notes: No I do not like this chapter, but I updated, I am so sorry for the wait, I have been incredibly busy and couldn't think of what to do for this chapter. The next chapter will explain how Wolf knows the fat cat and then that'll be close to the end of this story. I'm very sorry if you didn't like this chapter either. Please tell me if it was not good enough, and tell me if you waited too long and now do not like the story. Thanks for reading though.
