"She's been acting different lately."

"A bit cranky-"

"Moving slow-"

"Always dizzy-"

"The only good thing she's doing is drinking water more often."

"You think there's something wrong with her Gem?"

"I do Lils. I really do. We just need to find out what."

Christmas time had arrived at Hogwarts! The Gryffindor common room was filled with so much spirit. People had said their partings to their friends just the day before, before going home, and some students had stayed at Hogwarts to spend the holidays.

The Marauders, except Peter, had decided to stay at Hogwarts. Lily had gone home too, and Arcana was going with her to stay for the holiday. Her mother and father were off somewhere in Italy taking a second honeymoon. Arcana was all for staying at Hogwarts until Lily had invited both her and Gem to stay with her. Arcana instantly accepted because she always had fun when staying at Lily's, while Gemini declined, not really interested in seeing Lily's sister, Petunia, on the lovely holiday. Gemini and the three more popular Marauders, were the only Gryffindor's who actually stayed at Hogwarts.

Will had gone home too, much to Gemini's dismay. It had been over a month and a half since the duo began dating, and Gemini had been hoping to spend their first holiday of being together, well, together. Instead though, his mother had requested he head on home to spend the holiday with her and his sick grandmother.

Currently, the Marauders were hanging out in the Gryffindor common room, playing a small game of Exploding Snap. Gemini, not wanting to lose an eyebrow, had declined in playing though, while her brother and friends were insistent on them playing. So far, Sirius had singed his left eyebrow, James' fingers were very burnt, and Remus, well Remus was okay for now. Gemini was content with sitting on the couch reading her book as she heard the boys laughing when all of Remus' right eyebrow had been burned off.

"We do have an extra bottle of that eyebrow growth potion right Gem?" Sirius laughed as they paused the game.

"No, you guys used the last of it when both of James' eyebrows had been burned off." Gemini answered with a snort. She closed her book and set it down on the table. "But, seeing as how I don't fancy walking around with Remus having only one eyebrow, I'll go ask Professor Slughorn for some. He's thankfully got a small stash of it." As she stood up and began her trek to the door, Remus called out to her calling her a 'life saver'. She laughed as she waved him off.

"Okay let's see, the quickest way to get to the dungeons," Gem hummed as she started to head to the potions class. If she knew Slughorn, which is rather well, then she'd bet everything that he was there. "Professor Slughorn I-...what are you doing here?"

Okay so maybe she didn't know Slughorn as well as she thought. Instead of the wrinkly potions professor she was expecting, she saw Snape standing over a cauldron, brewing something. There was a huge part of her that just wanted to close the door and act like she never saw him, but there was also that part that knew she needed the hair growth or she wouldn't be able to walk around with Remus having one less to mention that because of how long it took her to get down to the dungeons, the others have probably lost all of their eyebrows too.

Snape looked up from the cauldron, a slight sneer on his face.

"Nothing of importance. At least to you. What are you doing here?" Snape questioned. "Looking for Professor Slughorn I presume?" Gemini nodded before shifting a bit. Maybe he knew where Slughorn kept the hair growth potion. It's not like the professor would get mad at her for taking some. After all, whenever she asked for a simple potion like that, Slughorn's never minded.

"I need to get some hair growth potion. The eyebrow kind though. I don't think Remus would really like walking around with 3 feet of hair hanging off the back of his head." Gemini snorted. When Snape didn't show any hint of amusement, she narrowed her eyes. "Do you know where Slughorn keeps his stash of it?" Rolling his eyes, the boy nodded and after checking on his potion, walked over to a cupboard. He returned shortly, handing her a couple of potions.

"Thank you." She said with a small smile. He nodded and walked back over to his potion. Gemini, curious as ever, followed and looked in the cauldron. It gave off a strong smell. "What are you brewing?" Snape looked at her, a scowl displayed on his face.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" He questioned sternly. Gemini rolled her eyes. Okay, they never get on great, but it's not like conversations are impossible between them.

"In a way, yes. But honestly, the dorks can wait, and I'm curious." She stated. "So, what are you making?" Snape seemed hesitant to answer.

"It's supposed to be an antidote to Veritaserum." He answered. Gemini blinked a couple times, trying to understand. An antidote to Veritaserum? They had those? Her eyes narrowed.

"Wait a minute," She mumbled. "What would you need an antidote to a truth telling serum for?" Snape shrugged.

"Just testing out my level of potions making." He spoke. "Now, I recommend finding somewhere else to be. Only I have permission from Slughorn to be in here right now." Gemini sighed and waved her arms around in exasperation.

"Fine!" She exclaimed. "I'll be going. Don't blow up any potions. I'd hate to have to go home just because someone couldn't keep a potion contained in their cauldron and blew up Hogwarts." Snape rolled his eyes. "Bye."

"Good riddance." Snape muttered to himself when she exited the room. But, he couldn't help letting an amused smile grace his face, yet, as soon as it appeared, it was replaced with his standard scowl.

Eventually, Gemini reached the Gryffindor common room. There was a bit of a ruckus, and what she walked in on, was something she definitely wasn't expecting.

"Put it out Moony! Put it out for Merlin's sake!" James could be heard screaming. Gemini's eyes were wide as her mouth dropped open.

"I can't! I left my wand upstairs and you'll probably be a burnt crisp by the time I come back!" Remus was shouting as he waved his arms around like a chicken who lost its feathers.

"I can't take this anymore." Sirius was laughing a bit too hard from the ground, watching James run around, trying to put the fire that was all over his torso. "This is solid gold!"

"Oh my Merlin!" Gemini screamed as her mind finally processed what was happening. Apparently, James managed to catch the top of his clothes on fire, due to a small spark that had caught onto him from the cards. All of the boys were wandless, so none of them could use a spell to put it out. Sirius was breathing very unevenly from laughing too hard, Remus was in the middle of a panic attack, and James...well James was about to pass out from lack of oxygen.

"Do something!" James shouted. Gemini pulled her wand out of her sleeve and pointed it shakily at James.

"Aguamenti!" She shouted. Eventually, the fire was put out. James had finally been able to take his top off and threw it on the ground.

"Never again! Never again are we playing that!" He shouted as he stomped his foot on his shirt. "That game was made from the depths of Hell! I don't know what brilliant genius thought it up!" Sirius was still laughing, actually, it was more like wheezing. Remus had finally calmed down and had his head in his hands.

"Five minutes. I can never leave you boys alone." Gemini sighed as she sat beside Remus, putting her own head in her hands. These boys were so going to die without her guidance. Maybe she can force them all to live with her after they graduate. Sirius would definitely be up for it.

The room was silent for about a minute until James broke it.

"Oh who am I kidding. Let's play again!"

"NO!"

Soon, Christmas Day had finally come. Gemini had awoken in a very awkward position. She had her head laying on Remus' stomach, her back on Sirius' back, and James had his legs over hers. Not to mention, all of them were laying in very weird positions. She sighed heavily. Ever since second year, it'd been a habit of the group of Marauders to stay the night of Christmas Eve in the boys room and sleep together on the ground.

They were kids when they came up with the tradition! Sue them!

"Get up." Gemini deadpanned as she quickly lifted herself up, and shoved James' legs off of her. Each of the boy gave a very dramatic reaction as they felt the sudden movements. Remus made a slight gasp, Sirius grunted as he felt Gemini's weight moving onto him, and James jerked up, waving his hand around, trying to whack whatever he could find.

"Gem, let me sleep." Sirius whined as he frowned. His sister rolled her eyes.

"No~, we have to go open our presents!" Gemini exclaimed as she crawled off the floor and sat on Sirius' bed. It was pretty bare since they had put all the blankets and pillows on the floor for comfort.

"Presents!' James shouted as he, somehow, got up and ran out the room. Gemini squinted her eyes at the door. How on earth did he do that? One second he was there, then she blinked, and he was gone.

"Wow, he's as happy as a kid on...Christmas...morning..."Sirius finished lamely, then frowned. "I can't even use the damn expression!" Remus chuckled lightly and also got up.

"Well, might as well go open our presents too. James probably already finished his and is debating on whether or not he can get away with opening Sirius'." Remus suggested, making Sirius' eyes widen.

"Stay away from my gifts your presentholic!" He shouted, making up a new word as he also ran out of the room. Gemini sighed and also stood up.

"Might as well." She repeated, then grinned as she slid up next to Remus, holding her arm out. "Care you join me for the opening of the presents?" Remus smiled as he hooked his arm in Gemini's.

"I'd be delighted." He chuckled. Gemini giggled, and then ran out the room. Remus, who wasn't expecting the sudden burst of speed, had tried pulling back, which ultimately failed, seeing as how it accidentily made Gemini run into the doorway. "Oh my Merlin, Gem! Are you okay?"

Gemini clutched her nose as she felt the pain in it. Okay, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do. "I'm fine. I think my nose is okay." She removed her hands. "Give it to me straight Doc. Am I gonna make it?" Remus rolled his eyes. Of course she'd make a joke at a time like this.

He decided to humor her. "Oh nose!" He mentally face palmed at the super bad joke right then, but kept going. "I think it's very serious. Guess your nose is going to...'run'...away from you." Gemini stared at him for a couple seconds, and he ended up blushing. Finally though, Gemini began laughing. Remus smiled as he heard her laugh. Well, maybe his humor was funny.

"You're so lame."

Okay, maybe not.

"Let's just go open our presents." Remus deadpanned. He dragged a giggling Gemini down to the common room.

"What's so funny?" Sirius asked as he looked up from the unopened gifts. Of course he didn't open them yet! They're supposed to open their gifts together. James was currently sitting on the couch, pouting from having to wait. Gemini waved her hand.

"Nothing important." She said softly, a smile on her face. Sirius also smiled, seeing how happy she was. She looked at James and frowned. "Oi, quit being a baby and let's open some gifts." That seemed to perk James up as he quickly fell to the ground and crawled to where his gifts were. Gemini sat where her gifts were. Remus and Sirius sat at their respective spots too. "Which one to open first?"

"Open mine Gem!" Sirius said with a grin as he shoved his, very poorly, wrapped package towards his sister. Gemini took it, and handed Sirius the one from her. Since she was opening his, it's only fair he open hers. "Ready, set, go!"

They tore the paper.

"Oh Sirius! You didn't have to!" Gemini shouted as she looked at the pair of tickets in her hands. They currently had the words 'Pink Floyd' on them. Sirius grinned as he held up his own tickets in his hand. They had the words 'Led Zepplin' printed on them. Both of them were set for during the summer. They both also happened to be muggle bands that they had gotten into the summer before the last one while hanging out at Remus'.

"Looks like we both had the same idea." He laughed. "You're taking me to Pink Floyd with you though."

"You're taking me to Led Zepplin with you!"

"Deal."

James, feeling a bit jealous, looked to Remus. "Which concert are we going to go to Moony?" Remus gave him a dry look.

"None."

James sat back and crossed his arms with a pout. "You're no fun Moony."

The group continued exchanging presents.

From James, Gemini received a picture, with all of the Marauders, and Lily and Arcana. They were hanging out by the Black Lake. It was kind of James' gift to everyone. Sirius called him cheap, but Gemini and Remus thanked him. Gemini had given James a journal. She knew that James secretly enjoyed writing things down, so she got him one. No, it's not a diary, as Sirius put it, but a journal. There is absolutely no difference, but James felt more comfortable saying journal.

From Remus, she received a lot of Honeydukes candy, which was rather fair, considering she had gotten him a lot of it too.

"I feel like we should just start keeping our own gifts to each other." Gemini laughed as they both realized they had gotten each other the same things, again. They ended up doing this every year.

Peter had sent Gem some muggle candy, which she was very grateful for. She had sent him some candy from Honeydukes too.

From Arcana, she received some very cute clothes, which she couldn't wait to wear. If anyone had a great taste in fashion, it was definitely Arcana. Gemini had given her some jewelry that she may or may not have stolen from her mother over the summer. She sent a letter along saying that she didn't care if Arcana sold the jewelry or kept it. It's not like it was jewelry that her mother would notice missing, or even cared about.

From Lily, she had gotten a new bag to be able to carry around her stuff. She was so happy, considering that her last one had somehow ripped in the middle of potions class a couple weeks ago. She sent Lily a scrapbook of all their adventures at Hogwarts. If Lily wasn't in tears by it, she would find that scrapbook, and burn it.

"Is that all?" Gemini asked as she looked around, hoping there was possibly one more gift for her. She didn't see any gifts from Will, which kind of sucked considering she'd sent him a nice looking watch. Don't worry, it wasn't one of those super expensive ones. It was rather cheap actually. Probably only like...twenty galleons?

"Sirius, give it to her." Remus deadpanned as he noticed Sirius trying to inconspicuously hide something behind his back. Sirius frowned and glared daggers at his friend. Of course Will sent her a present!

"Sirius." Gemini hissed, not appreciating what he was doing.

"Uhh...James catch!" Sirius exclaimed as he threw the box towards James. James, who definitely wasn't expecting it, caught it. But, noticing Gemini's angry face, quickly gave it to her. "James!" Said boy held her hands up in an innocent way.

"Haven't you heard of, 'never tickle a sleeping dragon'? That applies to this!" He said. Gemini gave him a dry look as she noticed that he basically said the school's motto. What kind of motto even was that? Who's seriously stupid enough to tickle a sleeping dragon?!

"Speaking of tickling sleeping dragons, we still need to find time to do that."

Okay, maybe Sirius and James.

Ignoring them, Gemini quickly opened her gift from her boyfriend. Her eyes brightened as she realized that he had gotten her a necklace. Quickly putting it on, she looked down at it. It was a plain and simple one. The chain was a silver color, and the pendent was actually the constellation Gemini. She smiled as she held it in her hands.

"Is this not the most adorable thing ever?" She asked the boys as she looked at them. Remus was still staring at it while James and Sirius gave dry looks.

"Definitely..."

"Not..."

"It's kind of cheesy." Remus said as he inspected it. For some reason, he didn't like it. Although, he was probably being bias about it, since he didn't exactly like Will. Gemini, hearing Remus' opinion, looked down at it. To be honest, she did find it kind of cheesy, and it definitely lacked creativity, but hey! A gift was still a gift! Even if it was a play on from her name...

"Well, I like it." Gemini said softly as she looked back at the boys., and stuck her tongue out. James and Sirius rolled their eyes.

"The dude could have given you a regular quill and you wouldn't have liked it." James pointed out, making Gemini roll her own eyes. That so wasn't true!

"Don't deny it." Sirius deadpanned as he noticed Gemini opening her mouth. She closed it, and huffed. Well fine than!

"We should probably go get breakfast." Remus suggested as he stood up, grabbing his gifts, ready to take them up to their room.

"Yes! Bacon!" Gemini cheered as she quickly gathered her gifts too and ran upstairs.

"How lame can that guy get?" Sirius asked James as they too gathered their gifts. "I swear, he's the most dull guy I know." James sighed heavily and shrugged.

"Maybe, but he makes Gem happy, so we should be happy too." He said. Sirius rolled his eyes. "Oh come on mate, don't be like that. Gem's a smart girl. Just let her enjoy her first boyfriend." Sirius gave him a skeptical look.

"You're being awfully easy about this. You're not in cahoots with the guy, are you?" He demanded. James gave him a dry look.

"Cahoots? Really? How old are you? Sixty?"

"Oh shove off."

Breakfast had been rather normal, except for Dumbledore's warm Christmas speech of course. Since there weren't many people around, there was lots more bacon, and Gem, well, she practically devoured a majority of it.

"I swear, you're going to make yourself sick from too much bacon one of these days." Remus said as the group headed outside to play in the snow. Gemini scoffed as she wrapped her Gryffindor scarf around her tighter, feeling a small chill.

"Please, you can never have too much bacon." She told him rolling her eyes. "Besides you know what they say. Some bacon each day, keeps the doctors away!"

"It's 'an apple a day'." Remus corrected.

"Well it's bacon for me."

"Oi, Gem!" Sirius called over to her as he and James threw snowballs at each other. "Do you wanna build a snowman?"

"Only if he likes warm hugs!" Gemini shouted back, deciding to play with her brother. Sirius gave her an incredulous look.

"What kind of snowman likes warm hugs?" He questioned. Gemini laughed.

"The same kind that'd like summer of course!" She answered. Sirius pondered this for a second, then frowned.

"Wait, wouldn't he melt?"

"I guess. I mean, he's weird so..."

"You're weird..."

She rolled her eyes and nodded.

"Yes Sirius, we can build a snowman."
