REVELATION II
She blinked.
Had she really just told herself that James Potter, the arrogant toe-rag, was good?
Apparently she had.
Would an arrogant person that she though him to be, have saved the life of the person he most hated from a thing as terrifying as that which dwelled in the Shrieking Shack on every full moon?
If James was the arrogant person she thought he was, he would have stayed put on hearing that Sirius had told Severus to enter the Willow and see the monster for himself.
He would have laughed and let it... the thing inside... carry on with ripping Severus apart.
But James hadn't done that.
He had saved Severus' life, risking his own in the process, even though he hated him the most.
She turned to look at James who was looking at the shack as if lost in thought.
James is good, her head said again.
Suddenly, the boy she so despised didn't seem so irritating, after all.
The hair that stuck up in the back, which she so hated when he ruffled it, now looked fascinating to see from where she stood by his side... his showing-off didn't seem so annoying anymore...
His hazel eyes moved to look down at her and she found herself staring into them, admiring their color.
She felt giddy; her head was swimming.
James frowned at her. "Are you alright? Evans? Evans!"
He shook her by the shoulders, but she just rattled.
"Lily!"
