Chapter 14: A new start/Flawless

During the long walk to school, Flaky was grateful, for once that there was a long strip of houses separating her from the school. It gave her a lot of time to think about what she would do for a change and plan ahead of the game. The game was a nickname she had dubbed high school days whilst in a state of depression. Afterwards, she barely referred to the school without using the game.

While time slipped through the tiny cracks and crevices on the sidewalk, Flaky idly stroked the hems of her sweater, smoothing it down and for some odd reason trying to make it look pleasant and presentable. This time, she would do things differently. Today, she would have lunch with the boys (not the popular ones, of course). If the girls weren't going to give her a welcome mat, then she would resort to the opposite gender. Personally, she'd never talked to boys before, except for the occasional "Sorry", "Excuse me", and "Thank you". She was just hoping on luck that everything would turn out ok, but it was dashed with slight irony since her luck seemed to run haywire every time.

As she rounded the corner, she unknowingly bumped into a firm figure. Reflexively, she muttered a quick sorry and then blushed with embarrassment as she realised it was only a tree. A group of voices behind her cackled in a cacophony of laughter. Pivoting on her right foot in a perfect 360°, Flaky swiveled around to discover she wasn't alone. Behind her, a group of slutty looking girls dressed in black lingerie surrounded Lifty and Shifty, the twin prince kings of mischief.

With practise, Flaky quickly pulled on her hood to find that it was still there. Improvising, she pretended to be reaching for one of the strings to tighten her hood.

Suddenly, the laughter stopped. It died down until only Lifty was laughing. His laugh was reduced to a small bought of giggling. "Dude, that was so over" Lifty shrugged sheepishly as his brother rolled his eyes knowingly.

Whilst Flaky turned around to leave, re-slinging her pack over her shoulders for more comfort, just as she was about to leave within hearing distance, she heard a snarky remark, "That whore, who does she think she is?" followed by another uproarious laughter.

Quickly, Flaky turned around a rebuttal already calculated in her mind, "Fuck off, bitch" her coy tone rang out accented by the hand on her hip and the quick wink complemented well and quickly shut the loud mouth who said it in the first place. It was deadly silent.

With a victorious smirk, Flaky noted the look of her eyes blazing in confidence reflected back by the snarling lingerie girl. Even with such a pissed look of pure fury, she could not mask the fear in her eyes with the façade; and that girl, just happened to be Rosy.

Once her victorious gaze passed, had cunningly winked with a playful smile. This didn't go unnoticed by the two brothers.

Shifty POV *Time rewind*

That worthless nerd, how pathetic. It almost drew sympathy to his cold heart. On second note, she was quite curvy. When she turned around, he could see she filled in quite a lot. Even more than the lingerie whores surrounding him. She'd make a nice fuck.

Shifting (LOL) his eyes over to his brother, a light blush formed on his cheeks as well. Since when did the bitch get so cocky?

Lifty POV *Time rewind*

*Drool* Once Flaky left, he could only utter one word, "Hot". How sexy she was now, he noticed her wink and the hand on her hip as well.

Flaky continued her walk to school, now only the stairs and the double doors remained in her way. No matter, with renewed vigour and confidence, this would be a cinch. She'd warm up to the thieving twins, then break their hearts. Perfect, her sinister plot was just... flawless.
