The next morning she had opened her eyes to an empty bed and her sister knocking on the door to inform her about breakfast. It had probably scared Paul off she guessed.

"I'll be just a minute!" Fumbling around, her hand felt the spot where he had lain. Sure enough the bed was still warm there. Looking towards her window, she got up and wandered over to see if she could catch a glimpse of him. She did see him, but instead of his tall lean shoulders and messy brown hair, she saw a large silver wolf watching guard from the wood line. Almost as if he sensed her, his large head turned in her direction and he wagged his tail.

Giggling, she closed the curtains and started getting dressed for the day. After a pair of jeans, vans, and loose sweatshirt, she was on her way downstairs to see what grub she could grab. CJ sat at the table with a newspaper, and Kandice was in the kitchen munching on what looked like blue berries.

"Morning," She mumbled to them to be polite.

"Good morning Sandra, I have some berries along with some pancakes this morning for us." Sure enough, behind her sister she saw a large stack of the things.

"Okay, just grab a plate?"

"Yes that's fine. CJ and actually already ate though and were thinking about taking a walk. Unless you wanted us to stay with you while you ate? Or just wait and then you could come with us?"

"No that's okay, you can go ahead without me. Um, I do have a question though." She made herself busy as she picked up a plate from a cupboard and fixed up her breakfast.

"Oh? What's up?" She felt her sister watching her along with CJ who she saw lower his paper out of the corner of her eye. Would they let her go out? She probably shouldn't mention that she'd be with Paul…Not that she'd lie about it if they asked. I mean it wasn't criminal that they were hanging out now.

"Is it cool if I go out for today with a friend? They'll pick me up they said." Just stare at the plate. Just stare at the plate. Just s-

"Who's your friend?" She heard the smile in CJ's voice before she looked up and saw it. He looked pretty smug while he stared at her and she shifted her uncomfortably.

"Um Paul."

And all was silent in the kitchen. Nervously she glanced at Kandice to see her reaction, and simply just found them both lightly smiling. "Alright, that's fine then." CJ then got up from his chair and walked towards the front door while beckoning Kandice to do the same. "We'll see you whenever then." Blinking, she just listened as they both got their shoes on and opened the door to leave.

Moving towards the hallway she called out a farewell. Shaking her head she sat down at the table. "They're getting weirder and weirder." Not that she could say much though. She was the lover of a werewolf now. She suddenly wondered if she should go and invite said werewolf in to eat with her-

"You gonna eat all that?" The sudden question had her jumping up from her seat with a scream and spinning around with her fork out. While she had intended to use the fork for protection purposes, she had not intended to immediately stab somebody. Somebody being Paul she now saw.

"OH MY GOD PAUL! I JUST STABBED YOU WITH MY FORK!" Completely freaking out, she let go of the thing and watched as Paul reached up to pull it out of his hand, blood dripping down onto the floor.

"A woman after my own heart, protecting your food like that. Although you could have just told me that you didn't want to share." She looked up to see that he was smiling at her in amusement. SMILING. Wha? Noticing that she was practical having a meltdown, his grin turned into laughter and he shook his head at her.

"It's not that big of a deal love. I'm a werewolf, we heal very fast. Look, the wound's already gone." Holding out his hand, she saw that it had indeed healed already. "I could have dodged that normally, but I have to admit that you slow my reflexes down a bit. And I really wasn't expecting that from you either." Still in a state of shock, she could only stare at him in silent horror.

"I can't believe I just stabbed you with a fork." He merely grinned down at her and rustled her hair with his blood free hand.

"It wasn't on purpose. I was the one who surprised you after all. Here, I'll clean up the mess and you just get yourself a new fork and eat up. And I wouldn't mind being offered the rest of the pancakes on that plate over there either. Might just forgive you then." She could only nod her head and with a wink he was moving towards the sink with the blooded fork.

Almost robotically sitting down, she stared at her plate and then forced herself to eat after Paul had brought her a clean fork. He soon joined her though and her appetite suddenly left as she watched him eat. He literally ate around twelve pancakes in about three minutes. The hell?

"Is eating like you haven't seen a morsel of food in a year a werewolf thing or a Paul thing?" He had the decency to blush about it and she felt a little bad about having asked a rude question like that.

"Uh yeah, it actually is a werewolf thing. We perform at a higher level than human's right? So it takes more to fuel us then it does for you. That and it's kind of an instinct for us. If you put food down in front of an animal, what does it do? It eats it right? Well sort of the same thing for us." He carefully watched her face as he explained, almost as if he was looking for something. Disgust maybe?

She grinned at him and blushed before leaning over to kiss his cheek. "It's cute." And a little gross. But she wouldn't tell him that. He scratched the back of his head and then stood up with their dishes to return them to the sink. It was funny how shy he was sometimes.

"So you ready to go meet Conrad?"

She gave a nod, but then hesitantly reached out to touch his hand. "Did it…hurt pretty badly? It looked like a lot of blood…"

"No it's fine, it really didn't hurt love. I'd take that any day over our pack training sessions." She saw him give a shiver at the thought and she laughed.

"Alright, if you say so."

"I do." He had tilted his head down towards her with a smile and she found herself suddenly a little breathless.

"Ah…O-okay then, so uh Conrad right?" A gleam in his eyes made her think she hadn't covered it up as best as she had thought though. Luckily he didn't say anything about it but simply offered her a hand. She accepted the offered hand and he lead them towards the back kitchen door. When they stepped out into the yard though, she felt herself getting confused. "Wait Paul, why are we walking towards the woods? Is it a wolfy thing? Cause if it is, I can just go wait in the car for you."

He turned to her with raised eyebrows, "A wofy thing? Really?" She offered an embarrassed shrug.

"I don't know, I'm still knew to this whole werewolf thing. Maybe you like have sudden urges or something sometimes?" He laughed at her lame attempt to explain herself and then gave her a devilish grin.

"Maybe you're on to something there, I do often find myself resisting certain…Urges." She shot him a disgusted expression despite the embarrassing heat she found stealing over her face. By now they had reached the wood line, and she turned to him, truly confused now.

"But really, what are we doing? Is it close by or something? Because I know you have great stamina, but I'm really not prepared to walk ten miles for this guy." A large playful grin stole out across his face as he watched her.

"Are you prone to motion sickness?"
