The corners of Scarlet's lips were curved upward and she gaze a charming smile to the males.

"Erm...Gray, this is Erza Scarlet..my sister..." Knightwalker awkwardly explained as she tried to push herself out of Jellal's arms, "Jellal..you already know her.."

The older sister held out her hand and looked up at him, "Nice to meet you."

Gray looked down at the hand and slipped his large one in her tiny one.

"Same here," he muttered, shaking it slightly.

After a second or two, he took his hand back and ran a lazy hand through his hair.

"I should get going. Excuse me," he said, bowing his head slightly and walking away.

Scarlet turned her head as he walked away and raised a curious eyebrow, "Feels like I know him from somewhere...hm..."

The sister looked back and her eyes widened at the sight of Knightwalker pushing Jellal's face away from her.

"Let go of me goddammit!" she yelled in agitation, making Jellal groan in slight pain.

Scarlet crossed her arms over her chest and cleared her throat to catch their attention.

"Anyway..." the girl started, "...heard you hung up on Dad when you heard the news."

The younger sister sighed softly, "Dad's moving too fast..."

"Knightwalker! They've been dating for seven years! That's not fast at all!" Scarlet explained loudly.

"What about mother?!" Knightwalker yelled back angrily.

"Little sister, do not even! Mom got over Dad a long time ago!"

"He falls in love too fast. He shouldn't be getting married this year!"

"You're coming to that wedding, Knightwalker and that's final!"

The loud crackle of skin against skin made everyone stop in their tracks.

The pounding splash of red on Scarlet's cheek made Knightwalker smirk sadistically.

"And If I don't?" she growled out, glaring menacingly up at her older sister that was looking down at her in surprise.

Knightwalker walked past her sister that was holding her cheek and did not stop until she reached the harbor a few blocks away.

She sat down and looked out at the evening sky, her palm a soft crimson.

"Why did you follow me here?" she asked without looking back, knowing Jellal was right behind her.

"Stop acting like a lost puppy and go home," the red head added, placing her hand in her lap.

The blue haired male stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked out at the reddish sea, "That was uncalled for."

"The slap?" she questioned with a raised eyebrow, "Not at all."

He sat down next to her, their shoulders brushing against each other's for a mere second.

"Scarlet only wants what's best for you and the family, Knightwalker. You are acting like a spoiled child," he murmured, narrowing his eyes as the sun started to descend.

The girl slid her head into her hands and exhaled loudly, "I don't want to lose him..."

"Him?" Jellal asked, watching her shoulders shake.

"Father...I don't want to lose him to her...I know it sounds stupid as hell but I think he will forget about me once again when he ties the knot with her," she murmured into her hands.

Cautiously, he slid his large hand behind her neck and made her look at him, "That man loves you like no other, Erza Knightwalker. You are his hope, his life...dammit Knightwalker, you are his fucking everything."

The male's arms slid under her arms and legs, carrying her in his arms again.

He slid down, his back on the brick wall behind them and held her in his arms in a sitting position.

Her long scarlet hair was tangled, flowing past her shoulders like a fiery rose.

His chin rested on the top of her head as she shook in his arms.

"It's time you moved on, Knightwalker..." he murmured, "...your father will always love you. But you have to let him go..."

Jellal looked down at her and brushed her scarlet strands out of her face.

Her eyes were closed, her cheeks stained from the tears she had shed, her bottom lip protruded from all the pouting she had done subconsciously, and her even breathing fanning his fingers softly.

His lips brushed against hers lightly, his face immediately turning a deep red at realizing what he had just done.

"One more..." he whispered, leaning in slowly.

Knightwalker's index finger shot out and held his lips back, "Kiss me one more time and I break your balls."

He slumped against the wall and sighed, "Yes ma'am..."

Gray walked down the bridge, looking down at the crystal blue waters underneath him.

"That girl reminds me of someone..." he murmured, massaging his temple in an attempt to think.

Scarlet looked up, her eyes widening as she saw Gray on the border of the bridge.

"Noooooooooooooooooo!" she yelled, wrapping her arms around his waist and tackling him onto the center of the bridge.

"What the fuck?!" he demanded, rubbing the back of his head as he looked up at the girl on top of him.

She looked down at him and shook her head, "Suicide is never the answer!"

Gray looked up at her and exclaimed, "I wasn't going to jump, you idiot!"

Erza was at a loss for words and she narrowed her eyes, "...You sure?"

"Yes," he stated, rolling his eyes at the girl's assumption.

She rolled off of him and let out a small laugh, "Heh. Sorry."

Gray snickered and sat up, looking down at her, "Suicide, huh?"

Scarlet shrugged and blew her bangs out of her eyes, "Suicide won't solve your problems. If anything, you will end up passing your troubles onto someone else. You don't die for you friends, you live for them..."

"See you around, Gray," she murmured, standing up and giving him a smile.

He looked away, clenching his jaw as a soft pink made its way across his cheeks, "Yeah, I get it Yoda. Just go."

The red head started to walk away and then turned back, glancing back at him.

His eyes widened as nostalgia filled his chest as her smile grew one last time.

It was the same smile as he had seen three years ago...

Gray's POV three years ago

Five seconds.

That was how long it took until I realized that my heart had sunk to my stomach.

That butterflies engulfed my stomach and were swarming in heaps, making my body feel a buzz.

My hands were clammy, sweaty and rough from clenching and unclenching them.

I remember that day was windy, a breeze that had rarely swept the face of summer.

The autumn leaves swirled around my feet, whispering soft murmurs as they floated off the trees.

As she stepped back and turned to look at me, a large wisp of wind swished past me.

The long strands of her hair floated in the air for a mere second and then cascaded down her shoulders like a scarlet waterfall.

I recall my heart slamming against my chest, wanting to be let out like a wild tiger in a cage.

Her slender hands were holding the small bag she had with her.

Her lips parted as I tightened my hold on the backpack that was thrown across my shoulder.

"The entrance ceremony is that way," she murmured, pointing to the large blue building past the scarlet colored trees.

Wearing the same uniform as I had on, she started to walk toward the school and then stopped abruptly.

I looked up at her as she turned around one more, a single green leaf falling past her shoulder.

The smile she had on her face was one that I would soon never forget.

The corners of her lips were crooked, but the sincerity that rested on her lips was one that made a splash of soft pink spread on my cheeks.

I never saw her again after that moment, it was as if she had disappeared.

Her mere presence seemed as though it was a fleeting whisper.

I never learned her name, her grade, or her class.

I don't remember anything else about that day.

But what I do remember...was that I had fallen in love that day.

It only took five seconds.

Three years ago, Gray felt his heart drop to his stomach.

Now, on January 30th, he felt it do the same thing once more.

"Impossible," the raven haired male muttered, getting up and shoving his hands in his pockets.
