I apologize if the choking scene in this chapter seems drawn out.
Chapter 12: The Power of the Being of Legend
Pit was gasping for air. Ganondorf was chocking him. Upset couldn't begin to describe how he felt.
"Pit!" Marth yelled. He got up. "Let him go!" He bolted towards the Gerudo, and he was kicked.
"All I want is power," Ganondorf confessed. "but people like you, Zelda, and Link want to rip it from me. I'm not letting that happen. If I can't have my key to success, you can't have your friend alive."
Everything was silent while the grip around Pit's neck tightened. Pit seemed to go into a state of shock. He envisioned a scene from his past.
- Flash back from several years ago -
You must promise me you will never use that skill, or tell anyone about it." Pit's father ordered.
"But why?" A twelve year old Pit asked, ready to leave to serve Palutena.
"You know why. If the wrong people find out about it, your life will be thrown into danger."
"But what if I need to use it?"
"Like that will ever happen. You were the best in your class in every subject but flight. Why would you need to use it?"
"I don't know, but there's a chance I may need it someday."
"Well if that day comes, which I highly doubt, you can use it. But until that day comes, you must promise to never use it."
"I promise."
- Flashback ends -
'I'm sorry father.' Pit apologized, once he returned to reality. 'I must break our promise. This may not be the situation you meant, but I have to do something.' Pit closed his eyes. With what little will power he had left, he unlocked the door to his power. His hands glowed a pale yellow, and he slowly brought his hands to Ganondorf's arm.
This caught Ganondorf's attention. 'I don't need much. Just enough to knock him out.' Pit admitted. He started to steal some of Ganondorf's power. His eyes briefly lit up.
"On no you don't." Ganondorf growled, realizing what Pit was doing. He tightened his grip even more. Pit froze for a moment. 'Do it.' His mind told him. With what little strength and consciousness he had left, Pit shoved what power he stole back into Ganondorf. By doing so it both stunned and knocked out Ganondorf.
Ganondorf fell over, unconscious, letting go of Pit's neck. Pit landed on his hands and knees, painting.
Marth ran over to Pit. Bowser did the same. The first thing Marth noticed was how the darkness was creeping upon Pit again. This time it seemed quicker. Marth picked Pit up.
"Let's go." Marth ordered. He and Bowser ran out of the castle. They escaped from the Twilight Realm with who they came for.
So what would you think if I wrote a sequel for this story?
