Dear Readers,
Hey, it's Matt here. Sorry it's been so long, mainly because this is not a chapter update. This is a bit of a message to explain what's been going on in our lives and why it's been so hard to write this with three people working on it, and the reason simply put is that it's two people. Jason and I. Maya was very initially on board with this, but as the school year went on and our classes and activities drifted apart, we stopped talking, stopped communicating. We by no means dislike or hate each other or something, none of that, we just don't talk or see each other anymore. That was a few months ago. Jason and I continued to work on this when we could, and we even managed to work around how Maya was no longer going to be writing this story or any other this profile may post. That being said, Jason and I just had a long conversation on what we should do with this story. While I was wanting to finish it and move on the the project Jason recommended we do instead, Jason was reluctant to do so for personal reasons we discussed at length, and I'm not going to force them to work through it. We've written a lot for this story so we decided not to end it, merely to suspend it for now. I apologize to all of you (which was a surprisingly large amount) who sent us song requests and helped review and share this story, but this is the decision that was made. When it will come back and if it will come back at all is not within our knowledge as of this time, but here is the conclusion that we have reached:
We are going to start work on another story that will be posted to this account. That story will be one that takes place in the world of Fire Emblem: Fates, as we have both been playing it and have very much enjoyed the experience. We have decided that this story will take place AFTER the event of A Song Can Slay A Dragon, but with a bit of a twist on Jason's character, and without Maya's. Some things that we planned to happen during ASCSAD will be discussed during the story at full length as memories, so that you the readers can get a decent idea of where our characters are coming from post Awakening, and of some of the things we had planned for the story as well. That being said, we will be mainly focusing on the world and characters of Fates, and while I won't spoil how our story will go, we will be keeping our music theme that we had in ASCSAD, and even from the brief brainstorming we had tonight, I think you guys will really like it. Thank you for your time, thank you for reading our story, and we hope to see you very soon in the first chapter of "A Song for Peace and War"
