I'm glad you guys are ready for the huge plot twist I have planned

The later it got the more drunk Jane was. Maura was very tipsy. Very. They both were far away from being sober.

The dynamic doctor-detective duo was dancing like there was no tomorrow and of course, Frost decided that it was the cue for him and the older detective to leave.

"Whaaaat? No. Guys! We are having so much fuuuuun." Jane whined, swinging her arm around his partner.

"No can't do, Janie. I have to go walk my dogs. It's getting late."

"Alright, alright. I'll have fun with Maura then." she managed to mumble.

"Have fun ladies!"

During the rest of their night time adventure, they caught themselves grinding on each other and not caring how the perverted drunk men at the bar thought and how they were watching them. It felt right. Jane's hands followed every curve on Maura's body. She hummed the words of the songs into her ear, earning a low moan from the doctor.

"Jane..." she whispers.

"Mmmhmm." she replied.

Maura stroked the detective's define jaw gently. "Take me home?"

The duo gazed into each other's eyes fro another few moments. With a word, the detective took the lead and grabbed Maura's hand as she started to walk towards the exit. Unlike Maura's expectations, and surely unlike Frost and Korsak's, the Italian hailed a cab and sent her friend home.

After Frost told her that it was a bad idea to call her ex, she did. Jane thought that she had to do it in order to get closure or maybe she wanted to be sure of something that has been on her mind for a while. As a result of her call, the ex- girlfriend invited her for lunch some time soon.

She waited for Maura's cab to disappear. As soon as the cab turned the corner, she hailed another one for herself. Barely sober, Jane successfully gave the driver an address. She headed towards Joyce's apartment.

It's nearly 3:30 in the morning. Still confused. She thought the night was successful and yet, Jane was not with her. Was she wrong about Jane's feelings towards her? Did she push too far? She knew how easily the detective can build up a wall. Maybe she was confused, she thought.

Maura kicked off her Jimmy Choo's, not caring where they landed. She had to get out of her dress. It suffocated her.

This was not how she imagined her night would end up like.

The doctor slipped into a deep sleep as soon as her head fell on her pillow.

"Jane?" a husky voice answered. "It's the middle of the night... Actually it's like 3 in the morning... What in the world is so important that you had to call me?"

"Joyce."

"What?" said Joyce, annoyed. "What is it? Can't this wait?"

"I know you hate being woken up in during your sleep," she let out a sigh. "but this is important."

"What is it?" she repeated as she rubbed her tired eyes.

"I love you," Silence. "Now can you open the door? It's kinda cold out here."

Ok. So I was hoping for this chapter to be longer but hey. Yes, yes, yes cliffhanger and stuff. I will update soon :D Probably tonight actually.
